When is practice, not practice? Can making stuff up, and improvising over it, be considered practice, if you’re improving this skill? This is the kind of practice, I love❤
If you'd like, I could make a video about this. But since you concluded by saying you love that type of practice, it reads like you already have it figured out for yourself.
I generally have to go through songs in a set, a few times before a gig, but I also try to save most of my creative juice, for day of. I suspect you have higher goals, and more sophisticated music to play, hence your daily practice routine.
@@TysonGraf While making music, and noises, on a variety of instruments, is my main thing, I also have a lot of other interests to keep me happy. My thing is to be a "Jack of all trades, master of none, but sometimes better than a master of one" I have ADD and can't stay focused on one thing, over a long period of time, except for when I get hyper focused on something for a day or two. Part of my journey being Neurodivergent. I have learned to make the most of my nature, instead of trying to fit my round peg, into a square hole 🙂
@@TysonGraf Would still like to see a video on this, and read others comments about, how they mix up practice, with improv. One of the things I like for this, is a looper pedal. Do you use one for live or practice? Anther question along the same lines...Is practice more that repetition of exercises, or songs to learn?
