Mike Cook - My 1-9 scale is a 8 or 9 if it is similar when I was struck and dragged by a car. I often have to tell them that is what I consider a 9. My constant back pain now, with pain meds, runs usually around 4-5.
As Cyvan said, any nerve pain is nearly unbearable. Think if you've ever had a nerve exposed in your teeth.. that kind of pain. If you haven't had that yet, you are very lucky, probably pretty young, and I hope you never have it.

I'm 6'2" to solid muscle..... once the lower gos ...I'm fucked...I would just be Frozen trembling in pain... It's like taking a red hot knife and dipping it in acid and then sticking you in your lower back.
ladykiri42 Yes, it’s absolutely horrible. I had 2 back surgeries in the span of 3 months this year. Before I healed, the pain was excruciating. I’ve had 2 kids, and this was way worse than childbirth.
Yep I suffer bad like 10 and over bad. So when I get my nerve ablations it actually feels so good. But to other patients it is excruciating and they need gas or sedation. I laugh during mine
I love seeing a good chiropractor who is truly skilled at what they do. Unfortunately there are many bad ones that give it a bad name.

hmm there's always a energy barrier in seeking alternative treatment. For my folks, the initial X-ray examination is a bit daunting to them (cost and fear of uncovering more stuff other than chronic pain), depends on perspective at least the older generation in my household ain't that acquainted i guess =)
Paul - You have several good comments here, thanks. For me, the x-rays revealed an abdominal aneursym which, if left untreated could have killed me.

Im currently having this same thing done by my chiropractor...My back is severely out of line and my right hip is higher than the left, causing many nerves to be trapped... It's so painful...and i fractured my tail bone yrs ago, And there are also nerves trapped in there from where my tailbone healed improperly trapping more nerves ugh...sitting standing walking laying, getting up from sitting position...Horrid pain all the time...My chiropractor uses these techniques all the time on me..some days more painful than other's...i dint feel change get...just more pain...but im suffering through it in hope's i can get things straightened out snd feeling better....This doc seems so nice, and also knows what he's doing....Great job

Ifthis is true, God bless this doctor. I had sciatica pinch nerve and I was in terrible pain. My doctor sent me to rehabilitation center and the rehabilitation workers were able to help me, thank God.
2358abc - I had same, and the therapist had to come to treat me at home, because I could not walk at all. By the time the number of treatments ran out with Medicare, the pain was less by quite a bit. When the sciatica hit me, it caused me to go down completely, on the floor from the *extreme* pain.
Believe me it is true. Different chiropractors practice different methods, but it helps to research. The Gonstead method is specific & only focuses on the problem & leaves everything else alone.

I went to inexprienced chiro did dry needling.. My whole arm and shoulder still in pain after two months .... He did something funny on my knee cap and the pain get flared up and whole knee get swollen.... At the end, spent few thousands at the hospital on physio, x Ray and painkiller... Choose your chiro wisely...

That woman in this video having discomfort when sitting, then has to stand because it is better, is ME also! Also, this lower back pain HURTS, as those having this know !!! After 20 + years of this, and self diagnosing, I finally went to see a doctor and was recently diagnosed with sciatica. My back always was effected on my left side, and down my leg, when I have an episode ( My back locks and curves sideways ). I was out of work for several days to a week at times. I was afraid to exercise for fear of my back hurting more. Other than my physical work demands, I limited my personal happiness by doing less. I thought this was an abnormal thing, until I recently found out this situation was more common. The good news for me was that surgery was NOT a need! I have to strengthen my core muscles and stretch the right way, to limit my episodes. Unfortunately, there is NO cure; only ways to deal with it. So there IS hope !
I need this man in my life right now. I have the most excruciating pain with my sciatic nerve it's difficult for me to walk, bend or even stand more than 2 minutes. From 1-10 im at an 8 and a half. This is painful.

I have the same issue. After even a little activity I have severe pain and swelling in the right side and the middle of my spine, neck & right leg. It feels inflamed and painful & I have to lean sideways when sitting or standing. Pretty hard to live with this pain. Wish this doctor was close to me. Many physicians are skeptical about chiropractor care which makes it difficult to trust a new one you don't know.
Been there, done that. Same side, and side affects. Couldn't sit, lay down, and barely stand without being in pain. I feel for her, and wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.

this poor woman!! So glad she got help. I couldn't watch it when he was adjusting her. I had to look away.
This is what I got for the last month. It's extremely painful like torture. I was hollering at the chiropractor worse than this woman. It's slightly improving with a chiropractic membership i got, but they always change who is my dr, and only one did the side twist adjustment like the Dr in this video which is the one that improved me from before.

I went to a chiropractor who found the root of my lower back pain. He told me sitting for too long was not good for my back. I got a sit/stand desk for work and within 2 months my back pain was gone. That was 7 years ago and I’ve been pain free. Haven’t been back to a chiropractor. Some advice for people with lower back pain. Get a sit/stand desk.

I know this pain very well, sadfully i get worse by time 10 years with pain but the last year were the worse, i got a post laminectomy due to a bulged disc in L3-L4 L4-L5 L5-S1 i have 5 screws and 2 rods and implants were the discs were.

With such a case, what about the use in practicing "Adjustment under anethetic"? Seems as though she would be a perfect patient situation to allow the adjustment to be completed without hindrance from the patient tensing and fighting against the adjustments.
Anesthetic always poses a risk.
