Hyrox was launched in Hamburg, Germany in 2017. 12 times of Hyrox-running distance away from my hometown 😀 Last weekend there was a Hyrox event in Hamburg. Unfortunately, this year I could only watch. Next events in USA are in Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Houston, Washington D.C. and Miami. Many thanks for the podcasts and your fitness inspirations! 💪
Just wanted to reach out and say the ABF was one of the best programs I’ve ever done. Doing just two simple (but not easy!) workouts for 8 weeks for me some of the best results from any program I’ve ever done, and I’ve tried a lot. I used 20kg for the overhead press using 2-3-5 method 2 16kg for the ABC complex. Every single one of my lifts have improved since following this program. My swings have gone from using 20kg to 24kg with ease, and I somehow gained the mobility/strength to do overhead squats without even training that movement. Thanks so much Dan
I do various bodyweight hangs in the morning, 1 and 2 arm, bodyweight hang before my workouts and weighted hang at the end of the workout. Keeps my elbows, shoulders and spine in great shape and my posture straight. I highly recommend it, however and whenever one can do it.
Apple Watch Workouts work quite well for 30s/30s 30 minutes with voice prompts. Would read each exercise/rest name of each step, going through the time that set (in this case 30s each).
boost from a new subscriber: thoughts on light cardio, Dan? I swam about a mile in slow pace on a daily basis in the summer. A few days ago I had to run a few hundred meters to the railway station as I left a couple minutes late. I think I did well despite I never run. it was a "what the hell" effect for me. I do some calisthenics (dips & pull ups), but swimming is my thing.
I was supposed to complete the ABF yesterday going 30 minutes. Dont know what happened, but at minute 12 my back started twinging a little and my energy was low. I switched to single bell for 8 more minutes to decrease the load and then just tanked out. Did it for 27 minutes last hard workout and actually felt like i could have gone the fill 30, but held myself back.,🤷♂️

This video is the best news I've had all week.

That's interesting, I used the same weights, but reversed.
That is just fascinating. Thanks for sharing this.

Happy Belated Dansday everyone!
20 minutes in, I agree 100%, Synergistic.
Another great podcast, need to try the weight jumps vs incremental
You should!
It's a real challenge.

I think it’s an absolutely great idea

You will be glad long-term that you did that
It kinda seems like hyrox is Crossfit but intelligently programmed, basically
I really don’t know that much. But that’s a good point.
Lower skill level required too. I wouldn't say intelligent. Just less stupid.
That would be 8000 meters not kilometres lol
Damn!
Hyrox is in the US. Hoping to try it out next year
Thank you for letting me know
