  • The Sportlink podcast talks to arguably the most versatile runner in history - Rod Dixon.
Hosts Mark Armstrong and John Downes talk about the highs of a bronze medal at the 1972 Olympics in the 1500m to the lows of just missing out on a medal at the 1976 Games in the 5,000m.
Of course, we also talk to Rod about his victory in one of the finest run marathons ever in New York.

Well done guys on this interview with the great Rod Dixon. One of my favourite athletes. His incredible range of performances from 800m up to the Marathon has rarely been surpassed. Rod also ran as a guest in the English National Cross Country Champs over 9 miles in 1973, beating Dave Bedford into second place. Kudos.
