I am a criminal defense lawyer. Yes, he is a PhD student in criminology. He studied under Professor Rasland who wrote the book on BTK killer. He has studied serial killers extensively. I think he is an aware psychopath. So I think you are right that he knows what he is. They found one of the victim's driver's licenses inside a glove hidden in his room at his parents' house in PA, so he did take something. Whether he took something else, who knows? Does he have a dissociation? Or is it just the compartmentalization which comes with the psychopathy? Hard to say. Did he have help? Hard to say. Evidently, they are trying to tie him to at least two other murders in Pennsylvania. You feel coldness because there is nothing there. He is an empty set. Love your channel.

It is also speculation that he is connected to any other murders at this time. There are no formal charges and they always look at high profile murderers to see if they can connect them to other unsolved cases. But at this time he is only being charged with the idaho 4.

Psychologist here! The traits you’re describing sound consistent with some form of dissociation and/or psychosis. It’s definitely possible for the brain to repress parts of one’s experience and/or memory when the psyche is too overwhelmed to integrate that reality. The extent and manifestation of this can vary widely, from “blocking out” a traumatic memory (I.e., not having access to in one’s mind), to something like dissociative identity disorder which is rooted in trauma, and involves the psyche splitting into multiple parts that may or may not have contact with each other (this is exemplified in the movie split). Love your readings!

Psychologist here! Ant, when you went over the part about timing and having the opportunity, it made me make the connection that I have thought from the beginning...
In my forensic psych course, we learned that the people who fit a profile of murderer is that, they would have to be up to no good, around their full time working schedules and usually live within a certain radius. The thing about his educational background, is that he would know in depth about the known profiles of killers and what ways they are pursued because law enforcement need to find the patterns of behavior to get their killer.
Some things you said at the beginning triggered that fully realized idea for me. Haha I am not a forensic psych expert, but please continue to cover this because I am learning so much from your channel Ant. Thanks for helping in our layered understanding of people ❤❤

I heard Dr. John from Hidden True Crime talk about how people that commit these types of crimes as their first crime usually have repetitive violent fantasies, and try to dull those impulses and delay them with drugs and alcohol. And he struggled with heroin addiction. That's why he was pursuing his degree, and posting that odd Reddit questionnaire, because he was trying to understand his impulses and evaluate if he should act on them.

There’s no way he can say these claims are new and that he used to be weird. He JUST had issues at the school he worked at for inappropriate behavior. Pretty much everyone that’s ever known him describes him as controlling, domineering, and narcissistic. He knew exactly what he was doing getting a Phd in the area he did. Also, he did go in a date with a girl right before this, and she’s done interviews. She said he was VERY weird with her. You’re spot on with that. His sister is a psychologist, or therapist, and I know she, as well as the family knew he had problems.

@Louise Jeffries careful, lori most likely suffers from spiritual psychosis, which is its own diagnosis. Not the same as DID. Also for DID to be present there need to be more than one alter, I believe its at least three, plus more times than not they aren't necessarily aware of each other as in capable of interacting in the way that is described in this reading, and they also do not experience things that did not happen. These are a very complex and highly rare conditions. The only thing that can be definitely diagnosed imo as far as we know are high trais of anti social and potential narcissistic behavior. Everything else is still way up in the air.

I was not aware of their diagnosis at the time and in fact one of them didn’t even have a diagnosis yet but it was very obvious
In Loris case there is a little girl I’d say about 6 who like top knots and is quite vulnerable
There is a studious attentive glass wearing mid aged woman who handles the serious stuff
There is a flirtatious young 20ish year old who bounces around the place and is very leggie
And then there is the angry vengeful calculating and dangerous one with a hard fixed mouth and Penetrating eyes

    Psychology student here
The symptoms you described sounds to me, like schizophrenia. The auditory and visual hallucinations that characterise this mental disorder can feel and seem so real that it is genuinely regarded as reality and can lead to severe states of psychosis if left untreated. As we know, serious acts of crime are often committed due to psychosis - it is truly life changing.
You've also described "splitting" and a few other symptoms which initially drew my thinking patterns towards disassociative identity disorder but I also think that there could be many mental health issues playing a role with Bryan - it would be unlikely, in my opinion, to be just one psychiatric diagnosis.

When you said this, my mind immediately went back to the Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker personas we discussed in my college psych class. Although these two personas are physically in the same body, they are mentally two different people/personas. During his time as Darth Vader, the Anakin persona was locked away and barely touched until his son "unlocked" him. While different, Bryan Kohberger seems to resonate a lot with this on a mental level.

it sounds like DID (dissociative identity disorder), used to be referred to as multiple (split) personality disorder - most psychologists don't believe in it, few do. it's a VERY rare condition but because it's considered a personality disorder, rather than mental, it's extremely difficult to prescribe medication so most do receive different types of therapy treatments to be able to cope through life.

I thought since we found out BK's education etc that he was trying to understand himself and that's why he was a criminology student and beginning his PhD. I think this was his way of getting help, trying to understand how his brain worked by studying like minded people. He may also have confided his darkness in a professor or doctor he worked with IMO. So essentially i think he felt like he could be a murderer and decided to try to suppress his feelings through educating himself on it, only imo that fueled his desire and made him think he had a one up on the criminals he had studied. We know he worked directly with the woman who wrote the book on BTK, so in the very least, he studied one serial killer and had access to the person who knew BTK most.
I haven't heard if he ever had a gf or even if he had been S active in his life, but i do know from peers of his from school that he was overweight and teased etc and then he lost a huge amount of weight and got this chip on his shoulder.
IMO he was a bit paranoid previously as well, example he used to go for 7 mile runs as a friends night running buddy (the other person says this on the news). While i totally understand safety in numbers, it's generally something girls/women do instead of young men. When i heard that guy say that i got the chills thinking perhaps Bryan was looking to hurt this guy on one of these runs under the ruse of safety. I really struggle to believe this was his first physical act with 4 kills in like 17 minutes. It was so efficient! He also must not have been injured as he went to several public places after and then returned to the scene prior to police being called. He also returned to work and class and did his midterms or whatever that testing is called.
He's got Ted Bundy eyes imo. Charismatic yet dead inside. It's so weird. Outside of his DNA found there, his phone was right there, his car was spotted there, and on some 12 occasions ending that morning... All my opinion based on available research.
Idaho doesn't have an insanity defense, so mental health will only help him if he ends up incompetent to stand trial locked in psych indefinitely 🤷🏼‍♀️

That sounds like pretty typical serial killer energy. And sometimes, just killers in general. They often split off emotionally from the part of themselves that commit these atrocities. That's why most of them abuse substances. It allows them to let go of their inhibitions so they can do the things they want to do.
With Kohberger, there's also a possibility that he has some actual brain abnormalities. He posted something (assuming it was proven to be him) online about a rare condition he suffered from that caused him to see static. He said after it started that he didn't feel connected to anyone, even his own parents. He also suffered from aural migraines.
From your reading, it seems we're in for a "I didn't do it, but if I did, it's because I have brain damage" defense.

I’m not a professional psychologist, but I have a novice interest in psychology. My grandmother was schizophrenic and would sometimes hallucinate scenarios that weren’t actually happening and hers was very mild, but if he’s falling under the cluster b personalities (which is different but is based in anti social personality disorders including psychopathy), he may have a bit of both markers for schizophrenia and psychopathy with hallucinating people/scenarios and “splitting”. I don’t know if it’s necessarily disassociative identity disorder (formerly known as multiple personalities); it’s apparently rare to truly have DID. Allegedly. I would like to see further readings once the trials starts. I do have a friend whose majoring in psychology, so I’ll try to send this to her and see what she thinks.
On a side note, I’m glad you covered his face in tarot cards because he straight up has some dead, creepy eyes.

Good comments here! I agree, definite, scary things potentially going on here. I see things much like you do in him from what little we have seen and learned.

Ant you are absolutely amazing!! This guy is even more screwed up than I thought he was.
I can only wish that the authorities would come to you and hear what you have to say. I think that possibly you’re giving information that they may not know about.
Keep up doing what you’re doing with the gift that you have.

BK looks possesed my opinion only, that he was the mastermind but he wasn't
the one who actually killed the 4, he may have paid someone to do the dirtywork, plus I think there was 2 killers, because who could slaughter 4 people without 1 waking up hearing the yelling and would run for help. etc , but that's my opinion

I love how insightful you are, and I definitely want to hear from psychiatrist and psychologist about their take on it. I don’t even know what this case is but I enjoy listening to your readings.

Ant, thank you so much for doing this reading. You are spot on, as usual. Apparently, he asked the officers when he was arrested if he was the only they arrested so perhaps he does believe there was someone else with him. He's got a very cold energy to him too.

He was obsessed with trying to find out what the police knew, so maybe he was trying to figure out if they had anyone else in mind. Or, this just came to me- he planned to kill at least 2 others in the house from the get-go to try to make it look like more than one person. Most people assume he only killed Xana and Ethan because Ethan was in the doorway checking things out so he did it out of panic, but I don’t know now. He could not have killed Xana, because he was disguised, but he did.

I hope you'll consider doing a reading on Stephen Smith. I've been following all this Murdaugh crap for a while now and I just want him to finally get justice.
