What is your option on planted aquariums with sumps. Mainly on Co2. If I have a sump is my co2 gassing off from the excessive water movement? I’m setting up a 210g with dual drilled overflows. Also was thinking about placing my diffuser at the return pump , is that a good approach for co2 consumption? Also what kind of output nozzle should I use, make a spray bar or something generic that flows more downwards like explained in the video?

Sumps are the way to go for a large tank like you got, even when it comes to planted aquariums. Even though I've never used CO2 with a sump, I can't see why it wouldn't work. If you can plumb in an inline diffuser into your return and then use a flexible nozzle like a flare nozzle, you'll be able to adjust the angle at which CO2 rich water enters your tank. If it gets pumped the same way is this video, out, down and around, then CO2 will enter the water column. Having some surface agitation shouldn't matter, as long as the CO2 isn't getting pumped directly into the agitated area.

Great video.I use a spray bar which is set so the water flows upwards.Do you think the flow would be better going through the middle or facing downward.

Thanks! An advantage to pointing it up is that it can agitate the surface and oxygenate water. On the downside, I think that loses some of the turbulence doing it that way. I usually point it in the middle to get some kind of circular flow to allow for more debris to get pushed into the filter.

But then if the too much flow other type or algea start to grow, how much is too much how much is enough? Can you show your out flow pipe out of water and see?
