Yes, it is, especially if you follow the road and tramping has become less accepted it seems. In the end I was lucky and a French man showed some mercy with me. Was a bit ashamed of not being able to make conversation due to lacking language skills. Saved me another 2.5 hours after having already walked for an hour...
My hanggliding colleagues always say everything is better with paragliding except the flying itself. As you fly both would you agree or oppose? When carrying my gear up I certainly envyed the paraglider pilots passing me with their backpacks. On my second time a pilot from swiss helped me carrying it up. I was very thankful.
@@WarhogX2 Hi mate, sorry for some confusion-I was trying to say I fly alongside pg. Launching, landing and flying together at some of my sites. I believe your colleagues got it right.-In my club many years ago,a low hour hg pilot took up pg and eventually turned it into a profitable business, when asked what he thought of pg compared to hg he said "Paragliding is like having sex wearing a condom-it's ok but you know..
Actually I am afraid of heights: When standing on a church tower or equivalent all my blood goes in my legs. Funny enough no such thing when I am tied to my hangglider...
Hi Jan, nice clip! What a crowd above the start, what a relieve to get on top. Looking at your displacement when circling above the landing field and the windsock on the ground (at 6:30), could it be you landed downwind? Almost impossible to get that right...
Hi Toine, damn sharp observation and you are right: When I fly over that Windfinder it is showing the winddirection in my landing direction. I was doubting about that winddirection and do not really recall how I determined it's direction when planning the landing. I do recall that a paraglider landed shortly after me in the same direction as I did. So may be it was changing... Anyhow, thanks for your feedback!
Prachtige film!
Good job! Wish I could be there.
Nice composition, thank You for sharing!
BTW, it's a really long and tiring hike back up...
