Brian Cadd's 1972 album containing the hit Ginger Man was one of the first records I owned and a favourite. Fast forward to 1988 and I was driving back to the hospital to visit my wife and second daughter who had been born the previous night. Just at that moment Brian's song A Little Ray of Sunshine came blasting out of the radio. A moment I will never forget.
Great to see Anne McCue on this show. I well remember Anne's performances on RocKwiz because that was my first introduction to her music. Subsequently I saw Anne perform at Notes in Newtown, Sydney, in October 2011, then again at the Django Bar in mid 2015 and later that year at the Factory Theatre, both venues in Marrickville. Apart from Anne's fantastic guitar and vocals I love the diversity in her music, a CD for every mood and occasion from rock through to folk and the swing influenced Blue Sky Thinkin'.
