I don't know which is worse. Vette's sadness or Torian's understanding.
Same here! :(
Torian's morale is just heartbreaking. He is not bitching, he is not disappointed. He only regrets one thing, that he won't see you again, the one he loves. He knows if this is the best choice to win the war, so be it. True warrior. Earned my respect even more than Vette.
@@xeronylloyd21 Vette whined about it. Like I’m fucking saving my husband tf
romanced bounty hunter "forgive me i love you"
romanced sith warrior "ha should have seen it coming bitch!"
"Torian appreciates your honesty"
Doesn't really matter anymore now, does it?
nope...
I think it does... it's better as if the last thing you hear is disappointment. It makes Torian appear selfless, compared to Vette who would be happy to sacrifice Torian to live on herself.
Gives this DLC that Telltale undertone
I just realized that no matter what choice you make, it’s Valkorion who provokes Vaylin into killing Vette/Torian. If he stayed quiet, he/she might still be alive.
Torian when left for dead: "So be it. I am awaited in Valhalla!"
Vette when left for dead: "NO!! You're the worst! I hate you forever and ever, and ever, and...!" *dead*
To be fair, it _is_ what would in all likelihood happen. Guys tend to take death better than girls after all.
Torian's a mandalorian. they pretty much accept that they are destined to die. Vette is a former slave who became an underworld slicer/pirate. You can't compare the two.
For that response, I guess she's dying every single time then. Can't stand whiny brats.
Joking aside:
Frankly, I feel if it were Shae, Elara, Raina, both Jaesas, etc. they would've acted pretty much the same as Torian. It just depends on their commitment to your cause/faction, or personal sense of loyalty to you. Some of the class comps were always more selfish than the others, and were in it for themselves (Gault, Skadge...BH's comps suck man...) And this simply proves that Vette is one of them.
From a practical standpoint, you'd want to keep the truly loyal soldiers by your side, and sacrifice the fairweather groupies. But this is obviously just a gender preference choice by the devs.
yarpen26 That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I bet that if you had a gun pointed at your head, you’d be bawling your eyes out.
@@eriltegoleth4067 Together with the fact that Torian is the representative of the mandalorians in tbe Eternal Alliance, so on top of being unwaiveringly loyal, he's also more pollitically valuable.
Pretty good as well, Torian handles it better than Vette
xLetalis I cant blame her though. I'd be saddened too if my spouse got me killed.
Vette whines a lot if you choose not to save her. Torian not so much.
well is he a mandelorian - dying in battle is the way to go
Try letting ARCANN live but have VALERIANS Father still contained maybe something different will happen
Mandalorians are destined to die. That sad but he accept his fate. Vett isn't warior/asasin/solider.
This broke my heart when I did this. But it sticks well to Torian's code and character, remembering the time he sacrificed his own people in order to secure victory last expansion. So it's good to know he's no hypocrite. :) I do like the letter you receive from Shae Vizla honoring his memory.
I agree
am i the only one who wish that it wasn't Torian and Vette? There are plenty of companions that i dislike but also many that i love, and Torian and Vette are two of my faves, wish it had been save Kaliyo and maybe Jorgan or Kaliyo and Skadge XD
kanel kenny you can actually drop either kylo or jorgan if you order one to stand down in the gemini frequency mission
@kanel kenny: Same here! I would never kill Jorgan, but would have had no emotional problem with sacrificing someone like Skadge, Kaliyo or Xalek, for example. I guess they took these 2 beloved characters on purpose... as they wanted us to become emotional and really take it as a hard decision^^.
@DaysLivesDeaths: That's not the point, whatever you do to Jorgan or Kaliyo has no influence on this decision here.
I love Torian. He's such a kick as character with a great arc. But in real life if I had to make that decision I would save Vette first. Torian is a warrior, death comes with the territory. Vette is just a young girl with a few tricks up her sleeve. Both are brave but one is much less suited for that fate.
Torian be like "witness me."
Wish on of your companions dying wasnt so forced. If you allowed arcann to live there should be a 3rd option where you split with your companions and they go to save the person who you leave
And kill Vaylin, if they are already there.
I feel like saving Vette just doesn't make practical sense even if you aren't romanced to Torian he is still a Mandalorian clan leader so it's more beneficial to save him either way. And if your character is evil then again it's still make sense for you to choose Torian over Vette since he would contribute to you gaining power more then Vette.
True but torian is leader of a clan that is practically dead even he admits that his clan is pretty much gone so the clan thing is a no go plus we later on get mandalore herself as a companion saying that she is actually solidifying the alliance with the mandalorians so really torian's only use is that he is a mandalorian but then you get mandalore and an alliance with mandalorians so now hes practically useless cannon fodder but that doesn't make vette special no cause her skills are a dime a dozen in the alliance cause with hylo you can technically speaking acquire people who already posses the skills vette has the only reason why one would choose to save vette over torian is that (if you approach this scenario without knowledge of what is gonna happen) as one sees vette is already injured so she has a small chance of surviving and has only a pistol while torian on the other hand has a greater chance of survival cause one hes a fucking mandalorian, (who are already tough as hell cause they can beat jedi and sith) who secondly like vette has fought alot of tough and unique enemies along with the people who they worked with (as in the bounty hunter and sith warrior), not only that but torian also has on him a rifle, actual good mandalorian armor (or so I assume cause he was with the mandalorians for like 5 years so him wearing that special mandalorian iron is not that far fetched), and since hes always armed to the teeth he probably has a few grenades on him as well so again him surviving is not that far fetched and could more than likely have taken on those skytroopers by himself.
Saving Vette doesn't make any sense. Keeping Torian alive is far more beneficial because of that would keep the Alliance's ally Mandalore the Avenger on your side or at least still see you more favorably than otherwise. No one is going to cry over Vette except you if you are the Sith Warrior.
ellchicago gault possibly would also again you get mandalore as a comp and she states that she is finally solidifying the alliance with uh well the alliance plus think of it like this if you piss off mandalore by going darkside during the mandalorian chapter or whatever it is called she could break the alliance that she has with you and tell torian to join her cause you know mandalore's say exceeds what you say for mandalorians.
It is called diplomacy. It is beneficial for the Alliance to have Mandalore the Avenger as a strong ally. The Commander has some explaining to do in Torian dies regardless.
There's not much left of clan Cadera.
AAAAAAAND That is how Vaylin died a horrible death...
indeed ;]
xLetalis that is why you never piss a mandalorian woman off especially a married mandalorian woman
How about that's why you don't piss off a woman?
the only thing that really bothers me about this forced choice is that since you have 2 comps with you why not send one to help the other comp in trouble
AlmightyGamer right? especially since arcann is there. he's more than capable of helping one of them
yep you have point, IMO if you recruited Arcann and Senya, it probably should've been possible to save them both
Because Bioware likes ham-fisted drama. Don't get me wrong, I love Bioware. They've crafted some of the most amazing interactive story experiences I've ever seen, but they don't do relationships or personal drama very well.
Yep, they could do it as ME2, if you do everything right - everyone will survive(for example get both Arcann and Senya to save both Torian & Vette), if not- well, you know...
@@xLetalis Even if you *didn't* recruit Arcann and Senya, Lana & Theron are badasses in their own right, which they seem to remember evry time you walk away.
I sacrificed my hubby as well. I figured I would save Vette and Torian being the Mandalorian he is would just barely pull through. Boy was I wrong and pissed, because I let him die, the last of his clan.
Her face at the preview is like - Player! What the hell are you choosing?!
So this is the Kaiden/Ashley decision all over again, only its basically with Garrus/Tali....*Breathes deeply*
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
God, could you IMAGINE a Tali/Garrus Virmire choice? Fuck that.
@@NecroticFarron Garrus is my boy. No way I'd let him die. I like Tali but not anywhere near Garrus level. Now if it were a Liara/Garrus choice, fucking hell... Kill your lover or your best friend - you decide.
@@Velisatra Nah Liara is going down. I'll just bang Garrus instead ahahah
Torian is just all class.
Abandon Torian: No hard feelings, it was an honor.
Abandon Vette: You're the worst person ever, wah wah wah, poor me!
Fuck Vette.
Come on now. Most people would react like Vette did if they were facing their death. Torian is a Mandalorian and thus has been prepared for that moment for a long time.
I choose to save Torian pretty much every time because of this. I mean it's a reasonable response I guess from Vette, but I just can't do that Torian he makes me feel so much more guilty by being nice about it lol
Sorry I’m late to the party.
Everyone talking about how it’s sad one person has to die, when you could probably send your companions to save the other. I’m just over here wondering why Vaylin always shows up at the other person’s area. Like, in an actual situation like this, Vaylin’s choice wouldn’t have been connected to yours. She would’ve picked one companion and went for them no matter what you did, right?
Not necessarily. She's trying to lure you out, face you down and hurt you at the least. Her forces could very easily communicate where you are in relation to the 2 firefights going on. If the officer in charge can relay your position during the rescue, it would only make sense for Vaylin to go after the vulnerable companion. She's a sadist, it's in her strategy to get the weak link as a hostage.
I just couldn't do it. Sorry Vette. My Chiss bounty couldn't let Torian go :(
As soon as she killed him, I started crying
It's too bad they didnt have specific romance dialogue for losing Vette or Torian.
Sith: Vette... my love... my wife. She was a shining beacon in darkness that loved me for who I am. Now you'll witness a Sith's true fury!
Hunter: Torian... Mando'ad draar digu (A Mandalorian never forgets). Now you'll face a Mando's vengeance!
wow the bounty hunter legit sounded sad during this i am impressed with the voice actress
everyone loves Vette -- OK but you know what ? My agent will save Torian anyway -- won't make any difference in the story, but gee whiz he needs some good air time
at least he wasn't angry about dying like vette was
l let Yvette go many times..I just couldn't do that to Torian
Why!!!! It should have been Skadge
I just thought of a question. If you let a romanced character die or banish them (Kaliyo, Jorgan, Vette, Torian, etc) can you start a new romance with anyone else? Do Lana or Theron flirt options appear in converations? Or is it too late for that and you are basically stuck without a romantic relationship?
I don't think so, Lana and Theron aren't romanceable after KOTFE/KOTET
Currently no as the those romances must be started chapter 9 before the chapters where they die, but if the next expansion ever comes out Anri, Arn maybe Tau could be romance-able hopefully Anri.
The Arcann one lmao
I swear, I teared up a bit when I saw this ;(
If i replay the chapter but i change my choice, do i get Torian back ir nothing changes?
Cute alien girl or space spartan Ichigo?
Oof that *snap*
I dont think i could ever not save torian even unromanced. Vette is cool and all but torian has honour and morale. I think only my sith will save vette. Torian is too precious
Vette: hOw DaRe YoU aBaNdOn Me?¿?¿ YoU aRe WoRtHlEsS tRaSh!¡!¡
Torian: I understand. A Leader has to make hard choices. I am not afraid to die, I just wish I could see you one more time.
vette: *gets pissed before death*
torian: *doesn't give a fuck*
My heart...
Luckily this will never happen in any of my playthroughs.
I need to run my hunter through kotfe and kotet asap, I hate having to sacrifice Torian T_T
Honestly makes sense to choose vette, not because she is better in any way but because torian has more chances to win that battle, its a more expirience fighter so by choosing bet the outlander would be choosing the one that has less chances of surviving alone.
*sniffs* Torian No....
i know i haven't even gotten to this point in the game but isnt Vette a companion of the sith warrior? how does the bounty hunter have her in this?
after the vanilla stories it all merges together
The one thing I never get where are 7 other class characters at? Are there on vacation or something
@@MattRogan28 in a alternate reality
one heartless bh wow
Mandalorians...
im kinda sad this wasnt like in even if you break it off at the reunion, or atleast something close like you were still in love/married
bc i wanted to keep Lana but like still have feelings for Torian but breaking it off just makes him into any other character with no unique dialoge
idk anything unique with bounty hunter either way is uhh how it should be like he was your companion
I'm offended that it is an option to let Vette die.
Vette is gross.
@@ruinerofjokes1418 Bruh, I'm reporting you to the police.
@@foxhound6364 Fuck vette why would you like her?
Torian is true G
I hate this chapter. Tell me if you are sith warrior and you save torian, vette dies - can you go to this terminal in aliance base and resurrect her?
Because Torian is one of my favorite companions just like Vette - So as sith warrior I would save her and as bounty hunter him - still terrible why didnt they gave us choise between Vette and the orher guy - sry dont remember name - this red skinned guy with broken horn or kylo (ok you could kill her earlier but i still hate her so much) or even jorgan (or not) just not to choose between those two!
You would kill Gault? That would be as hard to me as Vette, as he is just such a funny character. My bounty hunter first went passionate to kill him in the original story, meanwhile he is one of my favourites^^.
Vette is cuter anyways, too bad she doesn't swing that way
1:42 fem bounty hunter: you're not his type
3:27 well she IS less psychopathic than you...I think
Torian handles death like a Mando, but no, not Torian :'(
0:44 - 0:56 broke my heart the first time I saw it.
Part of why I chose him over Vette is the bitchy way she handles it. That, and he's a seasoned warrior whose skill in battle overshadows even Vette's skill. It's sad whoever you choose to sacrifice, but it sadly must be done...
I- Is that Ichigo?
If you mean the voice actor, then yes Torian is Ichigo Kurosaki.
So Cool!
Why wasn't Vaylin fit to rule? From what we see, she is stronger in the Force than her brothers. Her only problem is her insanity, but that is the result of Valkorion never seeing her fit to rule in the first place. Had she been trained to control her powers and to understand basic human feelings, she could have become a great empress.
It was her lack thereof that made Valkorion think she wasn't fit to rule. Valkorion and Arcann were evil, but they could rule their people with control and maturity, both things a good leader needs. Vaylin lacked both.
Insanity is different from Sociopathy. Arcann was driven insane from rage and hate towards his father. Vaylin was born a sociopath. Even as a child she used her force powers to abuse her servants. Just look at the KOTET trailer. During her training she uses the force to nearly crush a bunch of Knights to death, for no other reason than because she could.
Sociopaths are born with an inability to feel emotions like compassion. For the most part evil people are made evil by their history and experiences. Sociopaths are the few who are born evil.
Vaylin is a sociopath, and therefore would be unsuitable for the throne regardless of how she was treated as a child. Valkorian's actions may have exacerbated the problem, but that darkness was always inside her from the very begining.
Aya Drevis That's a whole load of rubbish.
The KotET trailer shows a normal little girl with immense Force powers. She often shows emotions like happyness, anger or sadness, like any normal human being. Her insanity came from a father that ignored her and later locked away her powers instead of teaching her how to use them. And brothers who vied for their father's attention while ignoring their little sister. And a mother who had to leave her children behind.
Bindair Dundat No that girl was crazy...You can't explain to any level of her being fit to do anything ..
Valkorion just wanted to rule forever, he's a selfish asshole and the "not fit to rule" was pure BS from the beginning.
Vette always die...for me
He is a very shitty romance. He's accepting of you attempting to break up with him during a romantic reunion in kotfe and he's accepting death if you tell him to die. Is it too much to fucking ask that he show a smidgen of fight to be with the woman he *supposedly* loves? It's like he's simply going through the motions of being in a relationship instead of actually committing himself to it. I don't think I could bring myself to take a romance with him to full culmination. His nonchalant attitude about being separated from his mate makes me sick.
he knows that being a good leader to the galaxy comes before their romantic relationship.
Koss If he acted as you described, it'd make him complete hypocrite. He was always about honor and duty and if he'd have become upset about being sacrificied by his lover, he could not call himslef mandalorian. Also, he has always been stoic, so freaking out about it is out of character.
It's a cultural thing. Mandalorians accept that everything is fleeting. Life and love. You enjoy it and and make the most of it while it's there, but you don't cry over it when it's time for it end. You may not agree with it, but that's how it is.
Wow, you're projecting really hard, went through a tough breakup?
Cupcake, the only thing projected here is your vitriolic butt hurt over a difference of opinion. Suggest going to see a good proctologist regarding those massive hemorrhoids you have dangling back & forth like newtons cradle.
I enjoyed that. His neck snapping. Never used him. Never liked him.
