@@thegreatlakesfisherman Very true! In this video it looks like you’re at the hole in the wall. Do you have areas in the river for crappie? Thanks for the videos!
@@erickschroeder2577 I can neither confirm, nor deny that statement ;). I looked a bit for crappie, but haven’t found much. The river water is very clear these days which means very bright conditions. As crappie prefer low light conditions, back bays and docks would likely be the best bet. Also, trying late in the evening or first thing in the morning might produce some fish. Fishing the mouths of muddier tributaries is another idea.
If you’re not getting fish, see if you can find a spot where it gets deeper. As the water gets colder they’ll get pretty shallow. The big ones are out there, they just move around.
The current where we were fishing wasn’t very strong and at times was being overcome by the wind. There was a south to north wind that day but the river current is north to south.
Hello Hi how are you first of all enjoy your show and it is very informative especially the part about the rights when you're fishing near up here or Marina and yeah a lot of people call me otter some of the kids that I deal with call me otter on the water but I do live in the city of Lake Erie there are a lot of personal and private marinas that will restrict us from an extremely large distance from where the boats are I have talked to the fishing Game Commission they have said they have no control over what the park does in their Waters is this true or false and should I recommend for people not to fish in these areas a lot of friends that have been fishing near the Presque Isle Marina has been severely harassed by Park commissioner that is there by the marina I would like a good suggestion take care keep a tight line
I assume you are talking about the marinas at Presque Isle State Park near Erie, Pa. Since this is a State Park, it’s subject to any restrictions the state places on these. So if the State (not a private land owner) is telling you that you can’t fish there, you likely can’t. Hope this helps.
excellent breakdown!
@@awakenedtotruth8419 thanks!
Nice smallmouth! Trying to get up there next week.
Thanks for the comment! Good luck if you do. They’re in there!
Your fishing rod looks like my buddy's rod, with all the emerald shiner camo on it. lol Nice video.
Lol. I leave em there for good luck!
I fish that area a lot. Most of the time have a hard time finding perch. How useful is the live scope?
Definitely helps, but finding perch in the river requires moving a fair amount.

what about fishing on shore. what would u recommend. I tend to not have any luck with bigger ones. I only find tiny perch from shore

@@thegreatlakesfisherman I live in the downriver area
@@EddyP313 have you tried the pier at the refuge down by Trenton Power Plant?
It looks like you were anchored but the line was slack.
