  • Want to do more with your laser? Try making a small wood box with a resin pour over printed transparencies! This technique is easy and uses tools you probably already have on hand.

    This video will show you how to prep and assemble a small box with a hinged lid cut on a laser. Then use a small amount of epoxy resin to add amazing color designs and themes.

    Acrylic Inks (Various blues like those from Daler Rowney)
    Printed Transparencies
    Wood Sealer (we use Shellac)
    15 minute epoxy (like Gorilla Glue)
    Toothpick
    Painters Tape
    Plastic Risers (we recycle plastic lids from Stoks iced coffee)
    Small silicon brush
    Protective Nitrile gloves (PPE when using resin)
    Sandpaper (220 grit)
    Wax paper
    Baby wipes (for cleaning resin)
    Tools:
    Laser
    Hand Sander (like a Festool Rotex Sander)
    Butane Torch
    Heat gun
    Utility knife
    Bubble level
    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    Respirator (For Epoxy and Shellac)
    Dust Mask when sanding
    Eye Protection
    Work gloves (For removing tape over heat gun)
