The most stupid way of replacing natural packaging with plastics 🤦
It's really kind of sad, isn't it? Countless of machines and plastic replacing any kind of humanity.
I was searching for this comment.. Unfortunate
Let’s see y’all find a better way. Oh wait y’all yo broke to run a business 😂
look i’m all for recycling and helping the environment but not everyone has the tools/skills to open a coconut. so by having it in the cups, it allows for everyone to drink/eat the coconut
Nobody stupid and fake enough like you to bring the whole heavy coconut fruit to drink while walking. Convenience is a good business. Please have some reality check on yourself.
In Jamaica, coconuts have their own natural packaging. So we just cut it open at the top, drink the water, and spoon out the meat. There is no need for a cup! 🥥😊
That is kind of street food replacing it with plastic will make it more easier to open and etc
Eso es en lugares dela línea costera, en ciudades más Céntricas es ilógico este Uso… ya que quitan espacio y es más difícil de Trasportar y almacenar
@@LawrenceCastillo-bt5rzand also makes it bad for the environment
Oh but in Thailand we drink it while we walking or if weather is hot we put in fridge for make it cooler
Nice and fresh
@@nirmalakumari5246 and that's fine, not everything needs to be good for the environment
Many commenters are saying "why are we replacing its natural package for plastic?". As someone who owns several coconut plantations in Southeast Asia, let me explain.
Coconuts have an expiry date, regular coconuts because of the hot weather, can go sour within a few weeks or even days if the weather is bad, they can also mold if handled incorrectly or if the truck is dirty. And the large size takes up storage space, if not processed, coconuts can take up a whole container while yielding only 4,000 liters of coconut juice, some of which has to be thrown out because they've gone bad or have mold. So it all boils down to one word; efficiency. In order to store more coconut products in the same amount of space and keep hygiene up to standard, we have to remove them from its natural package and store them in something smaller, sterilized and better preserved which are plastic cups.
Now you might be thinking, why are we creating more plastic? Not by choice, you see, the plastic cups are extremely cheap, especially being so close to China, it is actually cheaper to process the coconuts, put them in plastic cups and seal them, rather than selling them whole. The logistics on selling whole coconuts doesn't make sense either from a business standpoint, why would we spend $500 transporting 6,000 liters of whole coconut when we get 15,000 liters of just the water and meat for the same transport fee. And people don't wanna spend 15 minutes cracking open a coconut anyway, by putting them in plastic cups, they can be put on shelves in 7-11s and inside fridges so people can have them cold fresh coconut juice right away.
So before you comment something ignorant like "omg create more plastic when its already packaged in its natural state, so stupid". Think again, that kind of comment doesn't show that you're smart, but rather ignorant.
It's a waste
@@user-ng6hw4lg3n True, but the world still goes around. Also, you just proved my statement correct.
Why would street vendors need plastic packaging when they can sell it as whole. If they do need to do this, what's the point of buying from street vendors anyway? You can just buy them from supermarket. And in what world does cracking a coconut open take 15 MINUTES!? Your argument makes no sense 😒
@@Shafi9234 "And people don't wanna spend 15 minutes cracking open a coconut anyway, by putting them in plastic cups, they can be put on shelves in 7-11s and inside fridges so people can have them cold fresh coconut juice right away"
Do you not understand the concept of industrialized? We're mass producing coconut juice. Not retailing them in street stalls.
Sounds like corporate greed. All the points you mentioned just benefits companies for more profits. Cheaper and longer lasting products at the expense of the environment. No thank you!

For those complaining about the packaging. It’s because they are making multiple products out of the coconut. They are making coconut water, coconut milk, and coconut oil.
If I sell you the whole coconut, then the milk and oil never get produced.
