This gentleman appears to be a really down to earth and practical guy. His van set-up is really nice, because it has everything you need and nothing you don't. As always, this is another fantastic video sir, ... and it's always a pleasure to watch your content. Thanks for taking your time to share, ... cheers!
You know what I really love about wonderers like ourselves in watching many of the clips is it's obvious that most of us have a 4 legged companion traveling with us
I have a 2002 Express 3500 cargo van I bought new for my plumbing business. I always loved the expresses wheel base 155". Chevy actually moved the rear axle back to accommodate the extra length of the chassis. It pulls a heavy trailer well and handles a load with stability. Not to good on fuel but there you go. Never had any transmission issues. 170K miles to date.
This guy is so clever. He has really thought through his wants and worked them out so well. I really got some great ideas. Thank you for the really important work you do.
love these tech-focused videos--I also find the more personal, life-story videos so interesting/full of wisdom, as someone working through societal guilt, stepping out of the rat race. all so appreciated; thanks for your work Bob--people like you have influenced my life path a great deal.
Some interesting ideas. THe swivel seats seem to make a HUGE difference to the feel of the interior. And those window coverings seem VERY effective. Thank you for this.
Thank you- another winner, packed full with intelligence and information. You are helping so many people to think through getting out of the rat race; The race that steals your money, your time, your self, your creativity and your soul by convincing you that you need more than you really do. "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived "Henry David Thoreau
Thoreau did not have to worry about working enough years to earn Social Security, his family provided him with a first rate education, employment in their pencil factory when he was willing to stoop so low, and his well-off friend Emerson supported him. Even as a kid in school, I thought little of Thoreau.
The windows that surround this van make it feel so open and light which definitely makes this a very comfy space; however, I'd prefer some extra head room.
I can’t wait to see the video on his trailer! I’ve been thinking of this kind of setup for a while, a van for cooking and berthing, a trailer for a shower and gear stowage. I agree with his idea to have both to utilize the advantages of having both. Please don’t wait too long to put it out, Bob!
So glad to see there is someone who would rather stick to electrical! Love his stealth back door fan. Brilliant, especially with large water tank and weight distribution lay out. I'm Scared about all the batteries in the house. I have no issues cooking outside the van with gas. What does he do for heat in the winter? I could see him using wood. Please ask those questions with who u are interviewing. Luv ur channel bob!
Awesome set up!! Great use of space! I'm anxiously awaiting the tour of his cargo trailer! Please don't make us wait too long, Bob!! I always learn something from your videos!! Thanks so much!! Happy trails!!
Love what his perspective is on using electric appliances with solar. Great info. When I become a van dweller I want to be propane free. I also don’t like the idea of living with potential fire hazards with propane use. Good video.
Thanks Bob, Really enjoyed this video with a lot of interesting innovations. A more in depth look into the solar set up and electrical system would be very informative for me. I look forward to the next installment about the trailer. Nice job Randy!
Don't want yer rig to be too tall? I went from a Toyota Yaris to a high top, extended length Ford Transit... first day out, I pulled up to the atm at my bank and got it stuck under the concrete pole they installed above the artificial teller for some purpose... I guess to keep semi trucks and RV's from tearing their roof off? I never noticed it until I got stuck under it that day. Anyway, I broke the van in pretty good... Nice job, Randy, thanks for the tour
WOW! 800 pounds of good RV batteries would cost you $5000 plus cost of cables and holding 800lbs from flying around inside the van. That is over a half ton in water and batteries. Weight and costs are not an issue for Randy. Good for him.
my feeling is that is a survival van, excellent to participate to survival meetings and 40 gallons of water is huge for a single person without a shower.
Living in the north, I can tell you all that weight in the rear provides excellent traction. A rear wheel drive van or truck is worthless in snow without rear weight. Cheers!

Having a window van is the way to go and the perforated vinyl is a great idea.
What a wonderful man. Knowledgeable, resourceful and very amiable. And, he has a dog. Very enjoyable video.
a tip : watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.
@Joseph Christopher yup, I've been watching on Flixzone} for years myself :)
I wish a had a brother like him ,very friendly and commonsense .
You know what I really love about wonderers like ourselves in watching many of the clips is it's obvious that most of us have a 4 legged companion traveling with us
Wander......
I like the way he thinks. The thought of using the conduction skillet is something which you don’t see much but very doable.

I really like the diamond plate boxes he added to the van! I’m going to use that one for myself.

Love it, everything you need and nothing you don’t. And it looks good, too.
Randy is amazing man with so much vision for use of space....Wow great build.
That is such a great van build. I love the route taken by doing his own style of build and not using products or style as most.
Excellent series of videos on this guy and his build, this guy is so knowledgable!
100 % love it ,thank you ,arizona had desert and pinetrees forests that's a smart man.

Really nice setup, Randy thought through many hurtles during his build.
Wow very Wise man a lot of new and great ideas, I don’t travel but love to see how others live on the road.

Great common sense system and he didn't show us every item in his storage drawers. I appreciated both of those aspects of the tour.
Very cool ideas. He has done a great job. Thanks for the video.
Nicely done. Great way to live
Excellent van build! Great video episode!

Anyone else get the "purple protector" ad? It's funny! Nice interview Bob :-).
Lots of great ideas I'm going to use the storage boxes! Great Video Bob!
That's a well thought out rig. I like several of his ideas, and may utilize them in my extended 04 Chevy Express build.
Love what his perspective is on using electric appliances with solar. Great info. When I become a van dweller I want to be propane free. I also don’t like the idea of living with potential fire hazards with propane use. Good video.

Beautiful Blessing Darling.⚘🎚⭐🍑🎉🤸♀️
Very cool dog Randy! Great choices on your build.

I like his set up - who cares what it weighs or cost because he's able to go anywhere without worrying about power or having water hook ups
This build is insanity! So great! Luv this guy's ingenuity!
The perforated window is a great idea.
Thanks for sharing, Bob! Wow, Randy-great van build! Congrats!
Well thought out van..thanx 4 sharing...
Great setup!
I like the window tint and back window fan the best!!!! Thanks for sharing it with us :)
Great! He seems like a nice guy.
Jana Ebert Yes, he SEEMS to be a nice guy.

Awesome build, I like the electric option for cooking.
Really like the electric cooking idea
I want a cargo trailer not just for base camping but if my truck/van is in the shop, I have a place to sleep a day or two.
This guy is very intresting . ....I like the idea of using the electric appliences instead of the propane . I would like a van and a Casita myself .
good idea, as the small fiberglass units seem to be very easy to tow but do not have much storage.
Really nice, well thought out, van! Great job! I got some new options!
this is a really nice set up
Brilliant set up. Clean build & efficient.
thanks to you Bob I bought the Chevy express I love it so much.
