Anyone spreading the love of drumming is a BIG THING, so thank you. I’ve duly Subbed you. I would love to attend the UK drum show next year. Any idea when/where? 👍🏼 🥁
Thank you for the kind words and sub. The U.K. drum show is well worth the visit as it is extremely well organised and everyone exhibiting there are amazing. Met some amazing drummers there too and hope to see them all again next year.
I saw Art with Lamb of God over the summer opening up for Pantera. Art is a great drummer and really did his thing live. Thanks for sharing. Much love and respect from Baltimore as always .
Was there on the Sunday with some mates, i think we were the only locals there! . Pity you didn't get the Zebra drums being played they sound incredible and i heard others saying that too. Saw Greyson playing at another stand too and got some photos. Absolutely amazing show, was still buzzing the day after and proud of our city hosting such a great event.
Such a cool show!! - I managed to catch Greyson jamming with Zack and Emma too (just off camera to the left). Glad you managed to capture the whole of their impromptu performance. Will definitely be back next year!!
Sakae were the company who exclusively produced Japanese made Yamaha drums Such as the recording custom and absolute series plus all your favourite signature snare drums and more
Biggest issue with crazy designs is that if it’s a lifetime drum set and many years down the road you want to add another drum or replace damaged, you’re out of luck.
To be honest I had more footage but it had way too much flicker so was unwatchable. I tried getting around as many as I could but next year I’ll be way more active in there.
All those amazing drum finishes and people still want matt black drums? To me that's like being in a candy store, having free ranch to have any sweet, then going "No it's alright I'll just lick a wrapper."
The problem is that those beautiful finishes are impractical. I own a stunning Sonor Highlite that I purchased from a drum show in 1990. It's a rare beautiful one off kit. Gigging with the thing was like trying to take out your Mum's best dinning room table. Every inevitable scratch and ding felt like a punch in the gut.
Thanks for that tour. Whew. How does one begin to select anything with so much gorgeous equipment to chose from? Have to ask, was VARUS there. just curious.
Thanks for your reply. As it was there were so many companies I'd never heard of. And it answered a question I've had of late which was did Rogers drums still exist. I really did appreciate the tour you gave us. Great work. Thanks.@@JasonSayersDrums
Thank you for this. First thing I notice - and welcome - is the return of larger kits, with three top and two low toms. True, not always practical, but nice to get back to 'normal' after the trend toward three- and four-piece kits. As someone who has worked in the drum industry for many years and attended many shows, I can assure you that the industry cannot survive on the sales of small kits with just one or two cymbals. In the 80s many drummers were playing 7- or 8-piece kits with a half dozen or more cymbals. Also nice that you thank Tony McNally. He is really keen and it would be nice if some of the others in the industry exhibited even a fraction of the enthusiasm he does. The downside is all that noise. It ruins the show for everyone. It is one thing to 'test' a kit - a light tap on the heads with a stick will do that, or some subtle grooving. The fools bashing away in 'look at me' mode should be shown the door. Thank you again. You first show? Nice that you enjoyed it. Maybe I'll see you at next year's event.
I actually enjoy playing all different sizes and setups of kits as I find it helps me due to the fact when playing on “house kits” you never know what setup it maybe. Personally I love large kits but when traveling I definitely go for the smaller setup. Tony is the nicest person I’ve met in a long time and really took me in. He is so enthusiastic about drumming in general that he inspires just through listening to him. It does really get loud at the show but only for 15 minutes. That said trying to hear the drums natural beauty was hard in that environment and ended up being a snare volume war at some points. It was my first ever drum show and yes I will be at next years for sure! Thank you’d or taking the time to comment this too btw.
Paiste were there with the Mapex stand but the lights were flickering way too much, so the footage was not usable. There were quite a few companies I was surprised to not see there for sure.
Can’t stand seeing someone try to play the same drumset someone is playing at the same time. Usually really detracts from the actual person behind the kit’s playing
Already looking forward to 2024
So am I. It’s going to be a killer event.
@@JasonSayersDrums looking forward to it so much because I get to represent red cymbals at the next show !
@@JasonSayersDrums thank you for supporting the show 😊

Hi there! Our show takes place at the ACC Liverpool and is taking place on the 28th-29th of September this year :)
I saw Art with Lamb of God over the summer opening up for Pantera. Art is a great drummer and really did his thing live. Thanks for sharing. Much love and respect from Baltimore as always .

Oh wow, I never knew that at all! Thanks for the comment.
All these drum companies trying to out do each other I learned something from a wise man They are all round and go boom
Biggest issue with crazy designs is that if it’s a lifetime drum set and many years down the road you want to add another drum or replace damaged, you’re out of luck.
Good video. You completely missed Amedia Cymbals and Balbex sticks with Sweet Deal Drums. They were my favourite stand.
To be honest I had more footage but it had way too much flicker so was unwatchable. I tried getting around as many as I could but next year I’ll be way more active in there.
Dude, thanks for taking us there. From Australia @killerdrumsTV

To me that's like being in a candy store, having free ranch to have any sweet, then going "No it's alright I'll just lick a wrapper."
Range. Not ranch. Free ranch. Hahahahaha!

I got it wrong, never mind.@@DrummerGrrrl

No I was a bit gutted the Varus weren’t there at all. There was a couple of drum companies I was surprised to not see to be fair.

Nice interesting comments. Yeah the naboobs that just sit down and embarrass themselves...to everybody elses audio discomfort.
Never heard of this show. Is it on every Year?
Yep, keep an eye on their socials for updates.
Sakae made drums for Yamaha back in the day.
They looked super cool.
Purple titanium dixon snare sounds killer, have one
Oh really? I didn’t have time to play a lot of things but it looked stunning!
@@JasonSayersDrums try one one day
The only thing there was no Pro Mark sticks, and Paiste Cymbals and Noble and Cooley drums
Paiste were there with the Mapex stand but the lights were flickering way too much, so the footage was not usable. There were quite a few companies I was surprised to not see there for sure.
Have you checked out Sonny Emory? Worth a look.
Great Video. Look better than NAMM
Question for anybody, I never put my toms flat, does that make them easier to play?
Emma who?
I thought that one Jalapeno kit that one guy was playing sounded AWFUL.
Can’t stand seeing someone try to play the same drumset someone is playing at the same time. Usually really detracts from the actual person behind the kit’s playing
I've never seen so many ugly colors in one place at one time😝what happened to champagne sparkle??????? And what happend to rogers?????Jeeeeeezzz😒
