I just learnt last night that all paper used to be made using cotton fibres! the Dutch were the ones that invented this process. They used to 'seal' the surface of the paper with gelatine, to slow down absorption. Anyway, I cant wait to try this for myself. Thank you !
No, there is no adhesive or glue used in the process. Making paper involves blending fibers from raw materials like wood or recycled paper pulp, and the fibers naturally bond together during the formation and drying process. It's an adhesive-free method!
@@fromRAGtoFASHIONJulieWillaert mam I have a doubt what to do for the left over water from that bin so much of water it will b waste what else can we use those waters for
@@chandra1709 In the spring and summer you could use it to water your garden, or in the winter I put some water on the stove to add humidity to my apartment
It's not safe to do this with a blender that you use for cooking. Because of the chemicals in the fabric. You will need a separate blender just for paper making. To avoid the thread getting stuck: Don't put too much at once Put enough water If it gets stuck you can pull this out fairly easily. WITH THE BLENDER OFF AND DISCONNECTED!
What kind of fabric did you use?
Is it okay to use any type of fabric or just the cotton ones?
I used cotton fabric 🙂 You can use any fabric that is not synthetic. Let me know if you would have more questions!

Making paper is super fun to do!
That is the best idea i've seen about using fabric scrap, really. Better (in my opinion) than strange looking fabric...
Thank you :)Ii love paper making :) You can even turn this into a photobook :)

Cheers from Brazil💖
Thank you for your support 😌🙏
If you want to try and make them like white paper could you do so by bleaching it?
White recycled paper can be separated by using white materials, or you can also use a chemical substance
do you have exact measurements of the pulp and water in the vat?
will it tear easily?
When you pull it hard it will :) but not that easily no :)
Is the cloth of different types or only cotton
I used cotton and linen fabric scraps ;)
this is so great😊 I am wondering how you make paper with only fabrics and no newspaper?
Thank you! You can :) Just don't add the newspaper :) This way you make cloth paper :)
can you sew it? Can you write on it? and finally can you use only fabric scraps?
You can write on this :) You can use only fabric scraps :) and I will come back to you about the sewing part :)
