- Frida Kahlo: A collection of 100 paintings (HD)
Description: "Frida Kahlo's work was influenced by traumatic physical and psychological events from her childhood and early adulthood, including a crippling accident and the infidelity of her husband. In addition to personal issues, Kahlo's often brooding and introspective subject matter also deals with questions of national identity. Her mixed ancestry - Mexican and German - provided a rich source of ideas, particularly during the Second World War, when Kahlo changed the spelling of her first name to one that was less Germanic. Her works are often categorized as Surrealist because of her sometimes bizarre and disturbing themes, but unlike the Surrealists, Kahlo was not interested in dreams or the subconscious - her art was almost always starkly autobiographical. In later life, she was forced to rely on painkillers that affected the quality of her output. She has now become a cultural icon and is especially revered in her home country for her focus on her Mexican identity, or Mexicanidad."

Thank you so much for your help!
An open hearted love for everything in her life included her suffering which she channeled into her glorious art.
Aspiring Vegan CROSS Yes, I agree with you.
Agreed
Whenever i see her paintings i got goosebumps. For some reason they are beautiful and scary
"feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?"
Her work is truly an expression of what she went through through her entire life and I think we should all appreciate that to the fullest
Fantastic!!
That last painting is an opus, there are so many famous faces of history in that work, her work has a charming naive & innocent beauty to it.
I feel power of life in her paintings, wish I could visit Mexico soon!
At 2:27 the description of the painting reads: “unos cuantos piquetitos!” It means: “a few little stings!” Which probably means abuse by someone who hurt her a lot with words that didn't seem to hurt that much in the eyes of the abuser, it’s like he’s saying: “you’re are just exaggerating” or “you’re a making a big deal of something small” but in the end it cause a lot of pain on Frida.
Magnifico
I love her Art. She has inspired me.
I think she was a great Artist and incredible woman. My twin has an Art channel but she and Dali are not portrayed in it. So I learned about Frida on my own, I grew to admire Frida and all that she went through. I had to have a hysterectomy so I Sympathize with Frida.
And to think that her most insightfully profound and powerful works are her less known.
6:40 Her anime phase.
god lord lmao
Style icon and eternal artist who will continue to inspire generations and generations...
I love her use of symbolism in her paintings
Thank you so much for this series. I'd have to visit a hundred or more museums to see these collections.
Thanks so much! I am fascinated with Frida and her art! The music sets the mood right!💕🦋

Wundervoll, so schmerzlich!!
Jeje, en 3:02 ella pintó a Diego Rivera más como ella lo veía que como era realmente.
Thank you for this wonderful addition to my day. The works are presented beautifully.

"Vida la Vida!" -Frida Khalo 🖌
Anyone knows the title of the painting at 2:20?
Trippy stuff :(
So much pain she fealt in her painting
Sublime. gracias LearnFromMasters
She had great graphic Paintings that went in depth of her sorrow, let downs, grief and emotions that I don’t know if I could ever capture in mine. I think I heard that she committed suicide at the end of her life. I guess if you had that much pain throughout life, you would do it.
No she didn't...
‼️💔‼️
What a pretty female
Que canción es la del video?
She is better than any artist in the world
😂😂😂 hahhahhahahHaahahhhaahhhahahah
She had to stay in at the doctor for a year sad
Could do without the self portraits TBH..

There's even Mahatma gandhi in the last painting.

what type of painting are you in to?? are you are an artist? or just you criticize just for criticizing?
YOU WISH TO HAVE HER TALENT PLEASE DONT BE IGNORANT JUS ONE OF HER PANITINGS IS MORE THE YOU EVER MADE IN YOUR LIFE
I think disgust is among the many emotions that Kahlo expressed in her art. When I look at her paintings, I often feel awe, disgust, angst, hope, confusion, and/or solidarity. I love her paintings because she captures so many facets of the human experience, good and bad.
Kinda inappropriate tbh
Here's a video on Frida's politics: ua-cam.com/video/SdtKOfEs32o/v-deo.html
So overrated artist
Totally agree !!
Her paintings are horrible, whenever I see them I feel like throwing up
Entonces sí comunican lo que ella quiso expresar. Asco de tanta falta de Verdad
I just don't get art. These look like a 5 yr old painted them.
yes, u dont´t get art... don´t worry, Art is not for mayority
