I used the landing gear from a habu ss and it goes on with very little modification and im adding the servo for mteering. Amazon the kit for $10 USD. I bought a 9g spektrum servo with a 6in ext. The wheels match the grey on the fuselage really good!
Wow! It looks exactly like my Eachine 50mm F-16 kit. Is that why they all disappeared? Hobby King took over and is selling them now in a different paint scheme.
Speed trials next? I'll be getting some speed on my F18 when I get back home next week to see if there is a difference between stock F16 and my moded F18. 😊
Awesome, I purchased mine a few days ago. I have the kit version of the F18 from Eachine and put in a xfly 50mm edf with a 40amp ESC but I can't get more then a 2 minute flight on it, and I'm using 1300 4s 100c batts, driving me nuts with the short flight times lol
Hey Anthony, I’ve been flying my Arrows 50mm Viper with the Spektrum G2 4S 1800mah lipos and getting 6 minute flights (mixed throttle) before landing. I haven’t built my Eachine F-18 yet but will be going the same route with this same battery, hopefully I’ll still get at least a 5 minute flight.
@@howiedenton2709 Hey thanks for that info, so I've done some more digging and found out what was actually going on, my assumption was battery loss but after more investigation it was actually signal loss along with stall. My packs are 100c and I thought I was blasting through them to quickly, once I replaced my receiver, turned Gyro Off and reduced my throws I can now get 4 minute flight times with about 15% left with mixed flying. 🙃 much better now.
@@ltfadl1 1600-1800 lower C pack should work great in the plane if you can get it to fit. Just takes looking at he dimensioms for what you have anf comparing.

I did get to 5:30 total flight time once and had only 1% left on the pack so, safe to say 4 minutes. A 1800mah wont fit without some serious structure changes. I had to go to town just for the 1300 to fit and the 1500 I have is to heavy.
Well my maiden went down in flames. I do not like belly landing LOL. So the plane floats a lot, and the grass here seems to be like little fingers, I was coming in hot and the grass (which is about 5" tall) just barley touched it, and it went nose into the ground, bend the nose and snapped off a rocket, not a biggie. Went up a second go, couldn't see it very well and didn't have it dialed in yet so I brought it down, within 2 minutes, had my son with me and since it was coming hot I was gun shy to let hit touch down that fast, so I slightly pulled up, jumped up in the air about 5 feet right over his head, I was like catch it (was going slow enough) and bam hit the trunk lid of my car and broke a wing. On to the next. And that center burner looks very nice, but I can tell the F16 is starving for air on the intake side, its not as agile as the F18 and it sucked my battery down to 3% on a 4 minute flight as the F18 is about 15% on average.
@@RCPlaneReviewer I figured out my issue, of course it was pilot error. This baby flies nicely and I get a full 4 minute flights on 1300mah 4s Batts. Set it up with full deflection on all control surfaces, set radio with 100% throw but with high expo, not so touchy as it was and have much better control over it. 😉 going out today to blaze a few batts.

Love anything thats a red tail and will be getting it for that reason alone!! 😂😂😂 But I got started in edfs with the lil 50mm jets and these are now coming how I would upgrade them! Should be great out of the box with a lil minor work done. Noticed two things. The fan is wayyyy outta balance…. If you guys wanna have me show you how to balance I can no problem. And was that a brand new out of package lipo? Did you happen to break it in at all??
Thanks for watching Ray! I didn't seem out of balance for me but I also didn't hear anything out of the ordinary at the time of flight. That was a brand new lipo so it performed as such! It charged right back up with no problems..I thought it was for sure a goner! Thanks man!

Hey good evening, just wanted to know if you could clarify the intermediate mode on the ORX gyro this bird comes with. Is intermediate similar to the AS3X only mode on Spektrum recievers where the gyro is on but there is no limiting to the roll or pitch? or is it similar to the intermediate modes on safe select planes with reduced roll and pitch limiting?
Alright sorry to bother you so I purchased the f16 and I'm going to get a ar620 receiver, anything you can share as far as the stabilization switch set up or anything I need to do transmitter wise?

Its very similar to AS3X with off beginner mode with full assistance and bank limits and experts model with some assistance
