  • Lecture - Velva Lee Heraty: Why We Dream
    January 26, 2023
In conjunction with our special exhibition The Shape of Dreams, author of The Dream Belongs to the Dreamer, Velva Lee Heraty will provide a unique understanding of how we can better interpret our dreams.
Of all nature’s gifts, qualities, abilities, traits, and survival skills, why did the Powers that Be bless us with the ability to dream? What was evolution thinking? After all this time in the millenniums, where there are now 8 Billion people inhabiting earth, why are we still dreaming? To what end? How do dreams help us survive, even thrive? There is no one definitive answer, science is still light years away, so this presentation, unique to The Dali Museum, will speculate on that question from a Jungian perspective. Generous Q&A will follow.
