I dont think so. It doesnt sound silenced. I think they just wanted to try two different sounds for the weapon without swapping them, so they set one to mouse1 and the other to mouse2.

I think the Scar could have an invisible silencer? That's why you couldn't shoot at first then it got louder
yeah to be honest that could be it, because there is no animation for reloading so it could be that there is none for the silencer too, and no model either ?
@@BeastMode-4422 the reason for no animations is cus the scar was scrapped mid development, so the animations were never really finished
I think the M4 in that build still had the ability to add a surpressor like the older cs games and it copied over to the Scar.

The guns now actually sound more accurate than the previous. I know because i go to the firing range time to time. The only thing im not sure of are the sounds of snipers.

I really like the idea of the scar-17 maybe the CT's could get a one tap ar (Edit 3: Not very slow but slowER movement would work to encourage not using this like an m4)

Gun names are different cause of the gun licensing,they probably had to pay alot if they wanted to use real gun names.That was before the skins of course....

@@nikola8345 i know i'm 3 years late but what he probably meant is that "M4A4" isn't a real designation as it doesn't exist in real life and yet valve still chose to use it. the old names (from cs1.6) like the ones you mentioned usually have a meaning. clarion was a nickname given to the famas by french soldiers and means 'bugle', idf defender = israel defense force defender, obviously mentioning the guns user and so on.

Damn I actually remember when CSGO was fully released in 2012 and I was dumpstering CTs on T side. Never knew that it was cuz the AKs spray pattern was a braindead "just aim at their chest and let it rip" type beat. Pretty sure the first shot accuracy was way better then as well.

The recoil patterns were different because GO was originally developed exclusively for console, but eventually for PC too and the recoil patterns were changed again because the game was going to be cross platform. They also cancelled that.
CSGO was developed on the same version of source that Portal 2 and L4D2 were, which is why their menus are similar and they share models, sounds and textures. Release CSGO still used the AK model and sound from L4D2.
Several maps in CSGO's arms race and demolition game modes are straight from L4D games also.
The scars right click is probably the suppressor from the M4 cause it takes a while to shoot where you can't shoot for a few seconds and it's louder after

The pause of the scar could be the animation time for removing the silencer as the sound before right click is quieter(I guess?). I think the scar was intended to have a silencer and serve as the silenced version of the m4 back then but was replaced by m4a1-s

the scar had a conversion kit, with a barrel change and everything for different ammo type. maybe this is what they were going, though you cannot really do it in battle.

M4 Scar Replacement actually have reload animation, well actually when you press secondary attack it will activate 'silencer' in game code which is supposed to be on M4.
That's why it change the sounds and some animations won't work because they are NOT in the Scar model.
I think a valid reason why galil was gonna get a scope was if you remember in 1.6 there was a gun called bullpup which also had the same scope feature whilst being an AR

I think the Scar was supposed to be the predecessor of the M4A1-S since it is listed as an "alternative" to the M4A4 which is why when you right click the sound changes because you remove the silencer but like with the reload there has not been an animation for this.
