No doubt in my mind, one of the most visually stunning films I've ever seen.
3 thumbs up
you haven't seen Interstellar yet
Sunny shah *bwaaaaaaa*
Watched it lazt night for the first time ina while Hell yes
Yrs
Why so many people hate this movie? Am I the only one who think Gravity is a masterpiece? The story can be simple and boring, but it was a jaw dropping experience, even though I watched this in 2D.
gravity IS a masterpiece!
I loved it,..
the story for the movie was good. Sometimes less is more and Gravity hit it out of the park. It let the viewer use their own artistic license
Joseph Moore less is more.. you can say that again.
No, you're not. Gravity is a masterpiece. One of my top 5 favourite films.
In this scene: woman from USA, clothes from Russia, Tiangong from China. Subliminal message: peace.
wow
+arturiano diez Good catch!
+arturiano diez ...........lol..........the message I got was: "survive on whatever you can get your hands on"
+arturiano diez yes peace.
+arturiano diez and "no hablo chino" in Spanish. The Evolution of the Man would be better if all nations walk together.
This sequence is an absolute masterpiece.
I say this scene is what won this movie ALL it's Oscars
.. i soundtrack is very good
I hope they could make a 4D film for this, imagine the vibration and your seat going down as the capsule crushes into the earth's atmosphere, it would be fantastic.
Replace the transformers ride at universal studios with your idea
They don't do that because some woman will have a orgasm
@@MrThejoker6000 I was just gonna.. say.. that
3:24-3:28 always leaves me gasping to describe what I feel... awesome scene.. she literally flies for her life, leads the race, accompanied by the depris that could had killed her... music, cinematography, visual effects.. all in harmony
You just conveyed the my emotions of that very scene in words I couldn't have brought up to describe until now because of you...thank you.
+Pandelis Mitsis I like the music, but I don't like the movie per ensemble, because she's screaming so much(I can't handle Sandra Bullock). Interstellar is so much better and I want to see Martian when it comes on DVD/Blu-Ray.
+Pandelis Mitsis in my mind, I know both Chinese American and Russian space agencies are smarter than to let one of their space stations fall into earths atmosphere. and I'm surprised she wasn't killed by debris travelling over 20,000mph
Interstellar "so much better"? We didn't see the same movie...
Jéjé I did, I thought it was pretty good
3:24 this is the most beautiful scene
OH NO Mir was tored apart by atmosphere
perfect image, perfect music, perfect ending, my god, 3:24 gets me goosebumps
Yup its so beautiful.
Sorry money for me, the most beautiful scene is at 3.41, when fire at the windows turn to sunshine showing that she has entered the earths atmosphere...... literally, I turned to a block of Ice, then, I started crying......
Omg! so beautiful!!!!!!!!
This is the best scene. The music is just so moving.
1:54 - Right there...that part when she says "I'm ready..."
That's absolutely Oscar worthy. In THAT very moment she accepts that she may be moments away from her death. The way she says that makes me chill down the spine and choke. She's really an underrated actress.
SANDRA BULLOCK will always be a star....you are correct....
Ronald Vaughan Yeah, but don't get on any form of transport with her, she's a jinx.
Thank God she won the Critics Choice for Best Actress In An Action Movie for this film.
She is the highest paid actress in the world. I don't think she is underrated.
Well, Sandra bullock is not underrated in any way by any one
3:24 that moment is incredibly awe-inspiring and beautiful. I've seen this movie 4 times now, and each time that part makes my eyes well up with tears.
It's at this time where you realize Stone is accepting of death but still willing to fight for survival. It's also at this time that you feel like you can breathe again, the light fills your heart and you feel inspired to appreciate our world.
This movie is pure genius.
Same here, cry every time .
yup this film is full of symbols and metaphors.
this scene makes me tear up every time. One of the best movie scenes that have been shot, but you need to watch it in 3D to get full effect
Same here. Magnificent movie
Yes i find that scene very emotional as well as beautiful..epic shot
'either way it'll be one hell of a ride, I'm ready' gives me goosebumps every time along with that epic music, just awesome!!!!!
When the timer started counting down all I heard in my head was "Self-Destruct sequence activated"
Best movie of 2013.
@@syednoorerasul I too loved that movie. Some of Nolan's best visual ideas were in there.
The courage to face life. A life that doesn't give up. I'm ready. :)
There was more important parts after that, though. :/
FURTHER SPOILERS:
Different countries start sending her radio messages, one saying that help's on the way;
she lands in a lake and nearly drowns at the bottom trying to get out and get the suit off;
when she surfaces she see the rest of the station still falling across the sky;
she swims to shore, say's "Thank you" as she holds a handful of earth close to her chest, struggles with gravity to get up (but laughs at the irony), and stands up in this big dramatic moment to show that our hero is "reborn" back into her world.
Send that further down your comment, it's sticking out. ;-;
She should have won the Academy Award for this scene alone.
I love this scene... The expression in 1:40 when you finally get rid of fear and learn to live
Very very true Tombraider. I have never experienced anything like this at the cinema, and I'm not talking just about the visuals......I'm talking about the film's ability to completely overwhelm your senses and emotions. Even I as a guy felt like I was welling-up, which is a rarity only achieved watching Saving Private Ryan when it was first released.
The music is beautiful, mesmerising and dramatic all together!
me too, while watching saving private Ryan
3:25 my body just frozed at that time and tears came out from my eyes ;)
Glad I'm not the only one lol
One of my favorite scenes in cinematic history. When I first saw it, I wasn't sure why, but now it resonates.
This part is the most impressive in this movie. It reminds me of importance of air, atmostphere, oxygen. When the sunlight had come into Senjo(?) through the window, I was about to cry because of feeling comfort.
Omg, the music is jurt perfect..
Amazing acting because she’s able to communicate the battle of the analytical and logical mind with the waves of fear and panic - every rattle surges adrenaline and fear of being incinerated with the small yells and nervous laughter
Pretty incredible writing and delivery
Was the best experience in 3D I had I'm my life. Is masterpiece!
I missed it in 3D, the way my friend described it....she said she would pay the 20 bucks every different show just to see the re entry scene, not the entire movie but just that scene in imax 3D.
The only 3D to date that didn't give me a headache lol. And Avatar. Was phenomenally done.
No hablo chino!
I had to remember to breathe again as she entered earth's atmosphere and the chutes came out. The whole sequence was mind-blowing. I kept thinking as she was falling from space on re-entry, "If she f'n dies now, I am going to kill her."
Realistic? Maybe not in a lot of places. Scientifically tight? Same as stated before. But by God, that musical score was breath-taking and I was absolutely white-knuckled from beginning to end.
Gravity was quite simply.....remarkable in so many ways.
What a freaking masterpiece of cinema.
I know right the ending was so satisfying...
It HAD to be seen in 3D. From the first 8 rows. Immersive and mind-boggling
You didn't have to worry about killing her, all astronauts died in space, this was her way of entering the threshold of heaven and then landing on an island PARADISE, finally making it into heaven.
This was an amazing movie, I saw it in 3D and it was breathtaking.
Truly, a masterpiece of cinema
Tom Diesel yup
And just like that, all space exploration was set back nearly 40 years.
Not to mention communication, GPS, entertainment, etc.
Welcome back to the 1980s folks!
Why do my eyes want to dress in tears when the parachute unfolds remains a mystery.
1) The music.
2) Sandra Bullock making us believe she's there.
3) The actual experience of re-entry.
4) The reinstitution of human faith and survival.
5) One hell of a climax.
Nathan Stone 4) The reinstitution of human faith and survival. Love that man. The most powerful usage of the word NO I've seen in a movie in a while.
NOPE. I'm not ugly crying as she says "I'm ready" and then enters the atmosphere and starts tumbling and breaking apart. Nope. Not me..😭
There are few words to match this unbelievable wonderful scene.. I've seen the movie several times now and although there are lots of unrealistic facts in a scientific way I believe you have to watch it as a metaphor for life in the first place - when she finally descides to get back to life - and there is only one real life, that's the one on earth, involving all things wonderful and horrible - she have to chose the hard way and fight to survive.. that's the moment she knows she will overcome the loneliness outside in space as well as the one inside of her - to feel and really LIVE again..
One of greatest scenes in movie history.
The Academy should put the name Gravity on Sandra’s Oscar instead of The Blind Side.
Is just fair
This movie deserved every oscar it won. I think it also should have won oscar for best picture because let's face it, only reason why 12 Years a Slave won it was because the movie was about slavery.
12 years of slavery won,..then in Lousiana in a gas station a white old dude killed 2 teenagers because their music was too loud!!
luis arriaga what you talk about actually happened here in Jacksonville FL
GNARLYMINAJ!눈ˋˇ!!༼•̫͡•༽ ‘ this is not bullshit.
@SLUTVROS ! Exactly! Movies should won oscars for their merits as movies, not because they are about America's history or something.
Sandra will never forgets to impress with her acting skills, so natural , in every movie of hers.. And this part wow what a feeling, and the best soundtrack ever ... Whenever I feel difficult to work I listen to this soundtrack motivates me to never giveup and try try and try . .this movie just wow... Big fan of Sandra.. 👍
this is in my favorite top 10...all aspects of artwork...three years to create...amazing imagination...patience of a wonderful artist...courun...thank you...ALL...so very ...very...much...
Such a great actress!!
Imagine if this film were shown to the Academy (oscars) in 1968, the year 2001 space odyssey came out. Written and directed by a Mexican, starring a beautiful woman as the heroine, saved by a Chinese spacecraft and having won 7 oscars, awarded by their own successors. Never in their wildest dreams...
When the capsule breaks away from the space station, it's like Ryan leaves behind her safety net that she had built up to protect herself from the traumatic event that happend in her life. She leaves it behind because she's ready now to go through her fears and overcome them in order to get back into life.
always liked this actress.
Basically what happened to my space staion in Kerbal Space Program
It was named "Kerbines" and I say WAS.
Orbital decay in KSP?
yup
🙁😬😬😬😬🙁🙁🙁
I can't stop crying with this scen e
Epic visuals....
People don't get this movie was just an EXPERIMENTAL movie.
When you wanna try something new and big, you need to start small.
Alfonso Cuaron wanted to take his vision of Single Shots to a whole new level, and he wanted to do start with something simple.
*****
Exactly.
I Saw this In 3D Back in 2013 in the Theaters and it Absolutely blew my mind
Only God knows how much I was crying in that scene on the theater
SANDRA DROVE A BUS WHICH WE SHUDDERED AT ITS SIGHT. NOW SHE CONTROLS A ROCKET, AMAZING
nope...still start crying before she enters earth..come back a week later
nope. still the same. see you in seven days
lifepsycho123 Try again??
i made it!!!!!!
lifepsycho123 GREAT! I am so happy for you! Now, let's celebrate.
powerfull ending, so deep meanings.....
I find the scene at about 3.24 very beautiful and emotional..the visual plus the music man i cant stop replaying lol O.O
Alfonso Cuarón made us proud 🇲🇽💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾 🎥
Thank you Sandara Bullock for this scene. Thank You!
극장에서 본지가 벌써 4년이 지났는데도 아직도 기억나는 명작. 지금까지 이 영화를 뛰어넘은 영화는 없다
My favorite part of the whole movie next to her realization that George really didn't come back. It's a really bittersweet scene because she's finally going home.
This movie is a mega MASTERPIECE!
She is one badass Kerbal
I know some people may say this movie was ridiculous, but I absolutely loved this scene. It really does sound like the actor is actually in this moment.
In terms of orbits, moving in space and operating a Soyuz like it's your grandma's car it's pretty unrealistic, but it has a very powerful emotional impact. Also, the re entry scene is probably the most realistic moment in the movie. Stuff does tend to burn when you throw into the atmosphere at 7 km per second.
Watching this ending scene made my heart race so fast!
Ultra psycho-philosophical aesthetic delight... perhaps the most impactful movie I ever watched... so many layers...
3:30 most beautifull image ever :'-)
What a film it is simply magnificent
This movie was a brilliant act of magnificent mind... this film was awesome. Something so special that most of the emotionless mainstream zombies out there never will understand the kind of beautiful in the heart of this visual goosebumps :-) I love it. I really, really love it and I enjoyed every moment of this ride with sweetheart Sandra! 10 million oscars for it :-)
I love this movie too... That scene 3'24 "reminds me of when the union of the arrival of sperm to egg .. so I think it happens when That scene 3'24 "reminds me of when we will be born, we come to the earth plane from infinity .. Do not you think?
Commenting in 2020. Every time I watch the ending of "Gravity," I imagine that this is what X-Men's "Dark Phoenix" could have been. This is how I imagine Hollywood translates the comic book and Jean Grey's sacrifice in all its glory.
I bet the real astronauts watch these movies and are like "yeah right"
Jenni Case Don't forget it's still a movie, it's mainly about the visual effects and epic scenes.
@kevin w ok Mr. Smarty pants
Beautiful movie.
If they would make "alien isolation" movie, she would be great for the Amanda ripley role
She's too old for it, i'd love Mary Elizabeth Winstead for the role and she looks alot like Ellen Ripley
No, she's not old
Amanda looks to be in her late 20's in Isolation, Bullock is already older than that.
One of my favorite movies..
Excellent... Bravo
totalmente impresionante, cada vez que veo la escena se me salen las lagrimas por la hermosa banda sonora y principalmente ver a mi planeta, que hermosa es la tierra donde vivimos
Excelente escena !!!!
Fantastic Scene, Great!
I remember saw this movie in theaters. I mean this scene is MAJESTIC and had everything: tension, stress, exciment, music, a fabolus photografy by LUBEZKI, against all the odds, she's ready to leave this world but deep inside she had a little faith in return safe to earth. Cuaron knew how to transmit this to all spectators
Those who will hate on something will find the smallest excuse to hate, even if such excuse does not hold enough grounds to lead to their reasoning and hate...but after all, it is all about a matter of opinion. I loved the movie, but I can also see why some may hate it, though I find it surprising when people say its the worst movie they have ever seen, haha.
Gives me chills every time ! *-*
Bellissimo!
best match movie with Steven Price
Cuando vi la cinta de Harry potter y el prisioneros de azkaban, me gustaron muchos los efectos de cuaron en esa cinta. Cuaron tiene mucha imaginación aqui en Gravity, un teso!
Mind blowing visualization it give me wonderful
toller film .. echt faszinierend und soo spannend
Happy landing Sandra.
Muy buena la película, EPICO !!! :)
epic
Amazing scene.
its the moment that shows the infinite vastness of mother Earth while the entering ...and the Supporting Background score..awesome...how MotherEarth Protects its species by not allowing the foreign elements into its atmosphere...its the Vastness ...full of Tears of Gratitude
Im starting to wonder if my health will begin to decline due to constant exposure of fear and anxiety beating up my heart. The problem is, I cant stop watching the Scene and Letting the Music Terrify me with all its undeniable beauty... "Need some help there Matt.?.." "ASTRONAUT IN ORBIT! ---- thru ------ HOUSTON iVE LOST VISUAL OF DR. STONE!" - whyyy do I do this to myself. ..this film is Brilliant ! ;and 2x intense if under the maryjane from what ive been told lol.. I find good in every area of this film, and only Few mundane topics that I've seen on the scroll. innovative and spectacular with a rush
Fantastico!
Chinese technology saves the day.
Technically the Chinese copied the Soyuz module's design, just made it bigger and renamed it.
SweatyHatMan NO,actually Chinese didn't copied Soyuz because their control system is much better, smarter and convenience. Just check more profile, moron.
Chinese Copy*
Well, not in reality 😂😂😂
It's going to rain somebody's day soon
One of the best endings of any film. Speechless...
The best of the best.
I think the simplicity of the story is what makes this movie so beautiful… we are all trying to survive… to me is way better than 12 years a slave… because of its simplicity…
sandy bullock, the inspiration behind everything I write.
BEAUTY
Best shot.
leaving 2016 and entering 2017 like
Me gusta este escena de gravedad deja ver un mensaje que no importa la circuntancia en la que estes, nunca debes rendirte, debes luchar hasta el final.
3:24 ohhhh God what a creativity from u!!😍😍😍😍😍😎😎😎😎😎
삶을 다시 되돌아보는 느낌?! 너무 감동적이고 아름다웠다.
Damn this part was intense the first time I saw it in the theaters. It felt like you were hurtling towards the Earth with her and you can't help but grab on to your arm rest and think "here we go"
Goosebumps!
