@@timheller5929 the lengths i can send you for women, men, and kids. Width of bands depends on you. 3/4”, 1”, 1-1/8”, 1-1/4” are all widths i have used. Mens bands are generally 8.5” tip to tip, but can vary…,Slots can be figured by making your swingers and then making slots a bit wider. Holes can also be figured that way by using your swingers as a pattern for placement of holes. Everybody makes spurs a little different. My measurements are how i do mine, but not necessarily in every spur. It varies. Some guys want their spurs built exactly like a favorite pair they have. When thats the case, i measure that pair out and build them the same. Im just trying to show the general method here of building spurs. Thank you for your interests. !
thank you for your knowledge . i want to try and make pair of spurs but cant find a band pattern. is there any way i can purchase a template for men size bands and children size.
Mens range from 8.5” to 9” long… womens range from 7.5” to 8”. I usually measure their boot by putting a wire around it and then measuring length of that wire.
@@JohnNordDesigns thanks, I used to make spurs when I was riding bulls and broncs but it's been years and my grandson asked me to build him some, you do fantastic work without all the high dollar tools

You are very Welcome! I love sharing my methods! Thank you.
Super craftmanship. Quality work at resonable rates.
Good morning, I'm from Brazil, would you be able to provide the mold that you use to start making the spur, thanks
Well see in the video… i dont use a mold. Just draw your spur band out on paper. Then draw one for the shank and then the rowell.
@@JohnNordDesigns At the beginning of the video, you scratch the plate with a ready-made drawing. I want this drawing ready
@@ServiceTool send me your email
could you give the dimensions of the bands, where the holes go, and the hanger slots? width of bands and length? thanks
If you will send me a email address, i would be glad to.
@@JohnNordDesigns lol I guess I was asking for a template.
