Moving Temple of Ramses II (Egyptian Pharaoh)

- The temple at Abu Simbel, which Ramses II (the Egyptian Pharaoh who ruled Egypt for 66 years from 1270 to 1213 BC) ordered built near the border of Nubia and Upper Egypt, was dedicated to two sun gods, Amun-Re and Re-Horakhte. Standing 100 feet (33 meters) tall, the temple was carved into an already-standing sandstone mountain on the banks of the Nile. Four colossal statues of Ramses, each 66 feet (22 meters) high, guard the entrance to the temple. Rising to the pharaoh's knees are smaller statues of family members: his mother; favorite wife, Nefertari; and son, Prince Amonherkhepshef. Inside the temple, three connected halls extend 185 feet (56 meters) into the mountain. Images of the king's life and many achievements adorn the walls. Rock-cut temples may have been especially significant in ancient Egypt because the bulge in the otherwise flat land may have signified the location where the gods emerged from the Earth, says Williams.
I'm still can't believe this is completely dismantled, MOVED , and reconstructed ,,

Woaaaaaaa that was amazing!
Great documentary video!
The energy of this temple has been forever changed.
Trust me, all will be put back in order. Look deeper, ignore the 👿 and know all will be as it was before.
Anytime history can be saved, it's a good thing.
Great
Just coming!
辛苦了!過程真不容意
Kinda Cool!
Great work. Great animation. I want to use some part approximately 5 or 7 seconds for my Educational content. It will be used for teaching. Please allow us to use that much part
I would just screen record it and edit so its not copyrighted. Change the speed and do a filter or something...
While I am glad they saved the Abu Simbel Temples and seeing them in person was one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed I wish they had found a way to leave them in their original position. Just put a giant levee or something around them. The whole counterweight, fake mountain thing to me won't stand the test of time like the original mountain would have.
i guess it was the only way back than .
The whole thing was under water?
@@MoOriginX It was the 1960s. The Netherlands created levees that reclaimed half their country from the ocean hundreds of years ago. So it wasn't the only way.
@@Diamondraw4Real The original position of the temple is now underwater. When the Aswan Dam was created in the 1960s it flooded the entire Nile River for hundreds of miles. Several of the temples were moved block by block to higher ground, this temple was carved directly into the side of a mountain so they cut the entire mountain apart and rebuilt it directly above where it used to be.

@iceytina21 "Monster Moves: Moving Ancient Egypt" Rescued from the rising waters of the Nile River, 20 of Egypt's finest ancient temples - including the 900 tonne Amada temple - are relocated to safer ground in one of the greatest moves of all time. National Geographic documentary series!
And what about original people ? Did they made and assemble with chissel and hammer?
They just carved it out like a statue
you cant just fucking move something and be like yeah this clearly has the same energy around it.
In 2000 year they will say aliens moved it
every nation and every tongue will be part of the Kingdom.
IST was here!!!!
Tajmahal of India can also shift left side of river Yamuna...
are you serious?? wtfk??
where is this replica?
Your looking at it
I don't understand where people are getting the idea that Ramses The Great was black. His body is in the Egyptian museum of antiquities in Cairo. He is a short causation redhead with a big nose. This is genetically proven, and you can see for yourself if you go there. There were Nubian kings of Egypt, which has never been denied, but Ramses II was not one of them. You might also want to check your knowledge of Egyptian art, it was very stylised, almost none of the physical features on any of the statues or paintings resemble the real features of those represented.
Liah Thorley wow the level of ignorance you have is blasphemous and beyond criminal if you actually do know history. Not a single pharaoh was white. All the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt were black men and women. No doubt about it. It’s our ancestors and we know who they were.
@@stevetagheu4747 Alexander the great???
People, stop talking shit about Ramses's nose. What you see from 2:40 to 4:40 is a modern reconstruction with a Ramses´s head replica made for a TV show in the 90's. It's none of the original heads and nobody has revised nor reworked the fucking noses in the original statues. From 4:41 and ahead you can see the real heads that were moved, back then in 1964, whith all its features intact.
My little brain can't fandom the movement of the stones
3:00 is killing me.
Oh, Humans!
These workers should help move Ashkelon gate and help bring peace to the philistines
fact.
Ramsses111 Y chromosome group according to a paper in the British Medical Journal is E1b1a [SubSaharan Africa]BMJ2012;345:e8268]This information is still being suppressed by the Western media and even Google, they only refer to the cause of death as elucidated in the paper and not to his hap group which is in the same paper.
Orang dizaman modern saja pusing merekonstruksi benda sebesar itu, bagaimana mereka zaman dulu memindahkan benda sebesar itu ? memimbingungkan .....
They never moved anything in the past, they just carved it out
That's not Ramses.
That is Tutanchamun.
The Four Figures, are the Four Mask of Tutanchamun and under the Temple was a City.
This is now under Water.

You all don't understand that this history like they can't leave it drown like that why are you all so mad they literally saved it if they didn't save it you'd all still be mad
What is so special about about this?
Its a giant temple that was almost lost
To me the face just looks like asian buddhist statue with wide opened eyes..
Red hair is a common Sub-Saharan feature, didn't you know? :P
Hibria619 red and blonde hair and blue eyes are a trait that pops up sometime among African phenotypes. Africa is the most diverse place on earth as far as genetic coding goes. as well as a quality noses look at the Ethiopians and somalians.
they will never be happy.
he doesn't look like a black man.
Amona Maria yes he does lol
Who's supposed to be a black man?
La Rata de Jeshua mouk
Salai Niccolo were is Egypt located
@Salai Niccolo wtf are you so angry about? Are you an ancient Egyptian? No! The ancient Egyptians were a mix of people, not just some middle eastern migrants. And in case you didn't know it, there were actually two Egypts, or Two Lands, as it was called. Lower Egypt with Upper Egypt. They were unified by Narmer, who was from southern Egypt. Lower Egypt was populated by a different ethnic group than Upper Egypt, which was peopled by east Africans like Nubians and other Nilotics. And Nubians are not caucasian, but they are Egyptians. So your assertion that North Africa has been caucasoid for over 15k years is only half true, since there were plenty of black Africans in North Africa long before anyone even migrated out of Africa. Just take a look at the cave paintings all over North Africa.
So Five yrs later y’all decided to reconstruct a different face to your liking smh.
try not to mess with the nose this time
My ass is Ramses,All changed to the will of envihisseur!! .
Original lost ,duplicate rise
DanceSql gettie up ham that means Black.
My people shall be avenged.
moses took Egypt down.....
Moses never existed
Yes
That was whitish
Robert Willetts if he never existed then why near Egypt at the Red Sea did they find coral in the shape of chariots and wheels. Also in turkey they found the what’s left remnants of Noah’s ark and the same size dimensions. Everything fits, they even said they found what was sodom and gamorrah and Babylon
@@GamerLife-gw9bf how does finding a coral in the shape of chariots and wheels mean that Moses existed? That makes no sense, it's not proof!
@BlackmatterX how much did your black billionaires pay towards this project first before you say one more word.
THEFOLLOWING100 why the fuck would any afrikan move a temple his ancestors built? What kind of stupid were you? I hope you learned something over the past 6years
@@TrancEndingMedia you are right.. they would just leave it under water so it would be lost forever?
i hate the phaaroh rames
um ither I'm blinde or not but those sheet wearing men are dark skinned bahaaaaaaaa I don't see a white face any where....
The Pharaoh has been found and I cant stand these new Romans (new Roman Empire).
They are all against me trying to pull another JESUS awakening on me.
That looks NOTHING like the original face. I have been to Abu Simbel many times and its all over the internet including when they moved it. You made a black man's face look like George Bush 😂
God wiped out Ancient Egypt with plagues, and famine. And they put that abomination back together? No wonder Cov-19 evolved. And locust are eatting all the crops. Have love in your heart and forgive. Its God will.
