That was pure genius the way you covered your gauges with the diamond plate...Also liked the custom channel marker...Take a razor blade and chop the marker areas out, you won't have to worry about it wearing off that way...

Ahhh, me to. That will be so cool. I remember when me and my best friend had to really old and really nice Camaros. We used to ride around together and that really got people's attention! It was so fun! To bad I didn't have a camera back then.

chud327 nice build just a suggestion. Switch to 091 distributor and electronic ignition. Makes a world of difference. Only 75 for whole setup. Does away with vaccume advance

If you clean the distributor lobe shiny and lubricate the points felt swab it`ll make the engine more perky otherwise the points drag towards the shaft not reaching full stroke , Lubing makes the Vacuum advance perform better , Your getting a dead spot when you try to rev the engine right .

Put the drill in reverse on cable for a weekend an bring the miles back to zero . Not to crazy about front assembly hanging so low under the front . Always wanted to throw a Bug body on a Samuria frame . If your ever near Boston , Email me an I have a Warn winch 1700 that's screamin for your rig

Put nails in the tires ...if you don't understand look it up on youtube
Is that for snow?
chud327 yes they make some sort of things that your tires roll on and they have spikes on them. The spikes poke threw your tire but not so much that it pops them. They add traction and are better in the snow than regular tires.

Wild guess, you're doing this because your wife will not ride in it unless it is completely 100% road worthy. :) I couldn't help but see that extra button on the new shifter.....are ya gonna use it for nitrus?
I am simply worried about when the DMV inspects the buggy for road worthiness. I might just take the title and tell them it is a VW and see what happens. Nitrous will probably be the most suggested use. Thanks for watching.
