Awesome tips of using lace applicator foot
Awesome tips you are a great teacher and explainer to what the serger can do. I have this foot and have been to scared to try it out! I will try it now, after watching this video again. I am a quilter and would love to use my serger for quilting/ piecing etc . Thank w❤😊
Thank you for these tips. I have never used that foot for anything. Not a lace person. Now I have a use. I have been doing some piecing on my serger but mostly been sergering my quilt bindings with the stanard serger foot without any problem, but this foot should make that process even easier.
Awesome lesson & teacher
Can you do Binding with the lace foot?
Will a lace foot for my celebrate work on the euphoria?
The Celebrate is a much narrower foot that fits with the position of the needles and feed dogs on the Celebrate. You'd need to order the BLE8-LF for the Euphoria!
Please explain the difference between topstitch needle and the needle you were using before.
Chris says: The needle used for overlock thread is a size 80/90 and the eye of the needle is designed for this thread type and weight or size. The Topstitch needle has a larger eye that accommodates heavier threads, 12wt. for example. The larger eye allows the thread to move through the eye without shredding the thread when stitching. This is why I always use a Topstitch needle when working with heavier and specialty threads on my serger and sewing machine.
@@babylocksewing Thank you so much for answering my question!
I asked tech support abt top stitch needle and using cover stitch machine (Euphoria) for gathering - I was told there aren't top stitch needles for this machine and this machine isn't used for gathering!
Help.
Where to get top stitch needle.
I have Victory, Acclaim, and Euphoria machines and (Chorus and Ballad)
Obviously, I'm a Babylock fan!
@@velvetstitching3631 The only time a topstitch needle would be used on the Euphoria is if a decorative thread, i.e. 12wt., was used in the needles for a decorative look when for the cover or chain stitch. For gathering using either the chain or narrow cover stitch a ELx705 or ELx705CF needle is suggested.
@@babylocksewing thank you!
