And hey guys, this was actually a pilot for a new Snapchat show coming out, but it’s allowed to be on UA-cam post approval, so I decided to put this up as a test.
I want to do 3 minute videos off my polls/quizzes, which will be shot more for UA-cam, but this is a sample of what I made.

It's not good that actors get a bad deal when they are so well liked.
My brother pointed out that the names, the ages, the personalities, and the situations on Family Ties were much like ours in my family. It became uncomfortable to watch for that reason.
What would someone be able to find out about one episode of a show? Specifically, on one episode of Roseanne, the daughter was bullied by the entire family. I used to think it was a warm and comical show. S2E9

Back To The Future is my #1 favorite movie trilogy of all time, not just for the story, characters, and themes, but for the fact that my grandma and I each got to meet Christopher Lloyd on two different occasions. She got to meet him during the filming of Part 3 in her area way back in 1989, and I got to meet him at SiliCon in San Jose last year.
Lonesome Dove would be my favorite trilogy.

Okay but no? The 2nd and 3rd movies weren’t planned at first. They were shot back to back and came out within a year of each other. The lawsuit wasn’t about having a different actor play George it was the archive footage of him at the dance. They used footage they already had of him and didn’t pay for that likeness. (It’s when Marty has to go to the dance to stop Biff’s goons from jumping the past-version of Marty playing “Jonny be good” and when George punches Biff)

I think Glover was right about them using his likeness; they didnt do it with the girl who played Jennifer so why do it to Glover?
But I disagree with his thoughts about the ending of BTTF 1; Martys parents DID feel much more love for eachother.

Nice video Charles. One thing that stood out was not the content, but the fast tempo of voice. In the last 30 seconds it was as if you speeded up just to ensure you male the 3 minutes mark.
I honestly really loved the recurring joke in GLOW where the director wrote a movie exactly like BTTF called “Mothers & Lovers.” He’s at a party when he finds out about BTTF and freaks out.

I agree. I see Crispin's point, though. In some ways, it's kinda sad the family changed, I kinda liked the way they were before. I mean, it's good they got confidence and stuff. I guess it was necessary to show how radically things had changed. I think they should have talked it out and addressed his views. And they should have addressed the whole conflict with the rest of the cast and simply explained he wasn't coming back and they were replacing him, like they did with Claudia Wells, instead of trying to make him look like Crispin. That put the replacement actor, Jeffrey Weissman, in a bad spot, which wasn't fair to him and left bad feelings all around. But it's kind of timely to bring this up, seeing the big SAG-AFTRA (don't know if I got the acronym right!!) strike, where actors and writers expressed their concerns of being replaced with AI, where even their images could be co-opted without their permission. This case was kinda prescient, actually. Sorta like the movie itself! If anyone knows more, feel free to elaborate.
They didn't just make Weissman look like Glover. They used a mold of Glover's face for the mask Weissman wore. That's why Glover sued them!
There should have been a Back to the Future alternate reality scene, where Eric Stoltz and Claudia Wells meet Michael J. Fox and Elizabeth Shue.

Crispin's idea for the ending would have been a lot better though.
This is interesting, and I know that it was designed for Snapchat but I think it could be a bit longer and more fleshed out. It would be interesting to here how this could tie to the actors strike
Back to the future is one of the many franchises that inspired me to become a screenwriter. It’s one of the many franchises that influenced my television show and I met Christopher Lloyd a few years ago. Crispin glover killed his career by suing Robert zemeckis,Bob Gale and Steven Spielberg because they used prosthetics of his face on a different actor in the sequels and he’s still bitter over thirty years later.
I can only remember him from this and Charlies Angels
So much could have been avoided if they had not screwed him over.
it feels like a cash grab. they did it to make it look like the character, not the actor. he just saw an oppertunity to make some easy cash.
I never knew this. Wow, it kinda keeps with the person I imagined Crispin to be, he always plays such intense brooding roles even in comedies.

Peter Cushing in Rogue One was CGI, not deepfakes. The technology to create deepfakes wasn't possible when Rogue One was released back in 2016, so they had to use CGI.
They also did it with Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) at the end of "Rogue One" as well.
How is it precedent if it was settled out of court?

Well, im happy the Crispin Glover lawsuit happened, I wouldn't want a zombie or an illusion replacing a real actor, living or dead and using their likeness just for appeal to franchises
The best replacement for Fox was not Stoltz. Fox is an overactor, and Stoltz is more subtle. The role needed Fox. Glover has every reason to be salty about his replacement.
Actually Crispin won't have anything to do with 2 or 3 but if they just did a showing of BTTF 1 he would show for that..

So, basically, Crispin Glover changed a part of the future for real. You learn something new everyday.

Crispin Glover hated the ending of the movie for sending the wrong message because he felt it was a wrong message about what matters in life. The problem being they were more well off. Yet he wanted more money to comeback as George McFly. I think this was one of the 90's editions of "Who is a Hypocrite?" I love that show.

Krispin Glover spoke out before a lot of these celebs. Dude has a cult-like following for that.
mmh I dunno, they didn't try to recreate Crispin, they tried to recreate the Charakter ... but I guess it makes sense
I after with this rule because you could have someone portray a character that they don’t want to for various reasons like religion morals ect
So let me get this straight... this guy didn't like the ending of Back to the Future because it promoted the idea that the family was better off with more money... and then he refuses to work on Part 2 unless he gets paid a lot more money. What a stupid Hollywood hypocrite. God, these people make my skin crawl.
As with anything you report that isn't about who's fucking who; this is incorrect. Since Crispin settled, this suit set no precedent and the industry has done similar things with other actors 2-3 times every decade since (and that's only counting the major studios) had the suit went to court and Glover won, it would be a different story but we don't live in that timeline.
You forgot one thing Charles. Back to the Future predicted 9/11. Check out "Back to the Future predicts 9/11" from Barely Human.

Weren't they going to originally do 1 sequel, but the movie felt too long so they broke it up into 2 movies
It was always going to be two movies. I think I remember hearing at the time it was the first time in history a studio had done that. Filmed both sequels back to back.
I remember one of producers talking about it and said that it was intended to be one story, but it grew to big to fit into one movie so they turned it into a 2 parter

Funny fact after surviving aliens the soldier actor made more off his likeness used as a picture in alien3 than had he agreed to less $ an being the carrier of the alien opening the film. 😂 didn't wanna die like that
