Great video! I am looking for a lighter/flatter protection when doing longboard dancing (beefy knee pads are getting in the way) or surfskating and skateboarding in flat. Mainly not to rip open my knees when sliding over the asphalt and would be good to wear them under wide pants/shorts.

I am now rocking Troy Lee Designs Speed Knee Sleeve. I just do not feel good riding totally without protection, these offer just enough protection for me to feel confident. If I was doing more trail centers or any gravity based riding, I would certainly wear something more substantial.

Just upgraded to a new full suspension bike & Took a digger with no pads... any one of these would’ve been nice. Coming from a motocross background, I was a complete goon going out with nothing on my knees or elbows. Luckily the only thing that happened was some nice deep scrapes with a few bits of tiny rocks to dig out. I’m thinking I’ll invest in a couple pairs for different style rides. Thanks for this vid bro. Really helps

I ride with the G-Form Pro X3. Really love them for trail riding! Don't slip at all on my legs

Would the fabric on the X3 expands to a point where it will be too loose to wear after many times of usage?

Mine started slipping on my legs since they de-chubbed a bit :/

I use the IXS Carve you featured recently and have a G-Form Pro X top with built in shoulder, rib and chest protection that’s not too bulky for Bike Park days

Hey ho, nice video. Can you do a long term review? I would like to know, if the velcro tabs peal upwards. I have similiar tabs on my current pads and because of the edges curling up, the snag on my clothes. I even need to tape them down to be able to put on a jacket or pants with ripping the mesh liner inside...

I'm getting the G-form E-lines I ride on mostly blue and black trails but some times I ride on double blacks/reds and greens I live in an very very rocky area with a lot of rock rolls and drops that go off of rocks so that means there is also sharp and pointy rocks. Do you think it was a good decision to get the G-form E-lines let me know what you think.

I'm an inline skater. I use the X3 under my pants. And the rugged if I wear shorts. Why? Because if you hit the asphalt, the X3 will tear apart due to the resistance of the material, and the rugged won't because that top layer material will slide over the asphalt.

Do you recommend them for riding a skate board? Idk if i should buy a plastic pro tech ones or those

    • @chocochaos

Definitely recommend for skateboarding! They're very comfortable and so far they've protected me well!
The only issue I have is the the grippers do not always grip on my legs very well, so I sometimes have to pull them back up a little bit

I was looking to upgrade my JBM knee pads for inline skating. Maybe using these underneath for extra protection… but what I’m really looking for is good tailbone protection. I’ve seen their compression shorts with the pads built in and wonder how effective they would be on a fall, but I’ve read many reviews of these pads not lasting. Apparently, they have strength issues with their stitching not holding up after as little as one fall and for the money they’re asking I can’t have that. I really want to like these, but I’m worried these would be a one and done

@@greg6162 hi Greg, I also have the shorts with protective padding and so far they seem strong enough. I have fallen / slipped multiple times and they are still as new.

I personally own a set of the pro rugged knee and elbow pads. Fantastic for all day riding and the fit is really good as well. My only complaint is the stitching on the knee pads. After my 2nd wash it actually started to fray behind the back leg. Is it a deal breaker? Time will tell. Will highly consider their e-line in the future since the fit is just right for me.

Are they good for sliding? I know the Elaine is for that but in their website it was mentioned

@@Cons2911 I no longer own a set but they did the job when I had them. As far as sliding goes, I was fortunate enough to not have a major crash that resulted in me sliding. They were all quick falls in either the dirt or a bush.

Haha all these brands pretending their materials "harden on impact", such nonsense. Hit it with a hammer or jab a pen into it, you'll see it doesn't go hard and leaves an indent. They have great impact resistance, I use my gform on my shins for skateboarding and they save my shins constantly and I hugely recommend the pads, however, I don't agree with the bullshit marketing that these and even more D30 spout out.

Unintentionally crashes...............well......yeah, who crashes intentionally 🤣 ? Gald you're ok Matt, just a bruised ego i bet 😜 As for the pads, i'm not a fan of any of them tbh.
