- The world of watches is a small one, and if invited to a few of the larger international horological events, one begins to realize that there are indeed some special people without which the landscape simply wouldn't be the same. Wei Koh, the founder of Revolution Magazine is one of them. He is a connoisseur of, well, life. Whether it be vintage motorcycles, fine shoes, great wine, or indeed watches, Wei Koh is the definition of a tastemaker. And today, we're talking watches.

Somebody who tells stories instead of spewing watch facts.. Great man, great episode
This is also why i'm a big fan of Wei Koh. We all love nerding out on watch facts but the stories are what keep us all coming back.
Yeah his watches are independent, therefore have no classy astethics
Justin Tse very nice episode, indeed
@@basedincali8707 what?
Very original. This guy knows exactly what he wants, he doesn't seem to mind the fact that Ralph Lauren doesn't share his taste in watches😁 Also very well spoken.
That Richard Mille anecdote puts Wei into the running for the most interesting man in the world.
this episode is the best one ever, its literally just Wei Koh talking about his stories and the history behide his watches and its great, hoodinkee please find for people like Wei Koh
Now THAT is a great collection. Price was not the reason Koh bought those pieces, but because each piece actually had a meaning, from design to art to history, to him.
Omega, URWERK, Richard Mille, Panerai, etc; all fantastic pieces!
I also hope that he gets his father's Rolex back to him one day (good luck!)
TheOneInYellow dude,
I could not agree with you more!
Original, meaningful, perfect.
👍
This was the best episode ever. No PP, but the guest kept you entertained and did a great job describing the story behind each watch as well as incorporating them to life experiences and friendships.
This is the kind of Talking Watches video that originally brought me to Hodinkee. It hit all the marks: engaging guest, interesting watches, fascinating stories -- every minute of it was pure gold.
Wei Koh is a great guy and a true connoisseur of horological craftsmanship. A superb and unusual collection, those three Speedmasters were incredible. This episode of talking watches was so entertaining, unlike the one a couple of weeks ago with that rapper guy. He rolls up with a case full of Pateks and expects everyone to kneel down in adoration. He knew the price of everything and the value of nothing. I hope Hodinkee learnt their lesson with that guy.
Cliff Wheeler Nigga please!

The sushi story is so great. It was really Unbelievable!
Nothing unbelievable about that story.
so great hey you have an watch that shows you're wealthy, let us pay for everything. at least no effing submariner!
I would assume that if everyone there could afford an RM watch, paying for the meal and drinks wouldn't be a big problem.
I've had a similar experience in Shinjuku, but I wore a Grand Seiko
If hodinkee posted a talking watches once a week they would be a top 100 channel on UA-cam
Yeah but then you got to focus on quality of guest, and there's not that many die hard watch collectors, where really a rare breed
It'd get boring - same old Rolex's, APs and Pateks each week. The more selective format is better (and still, at times, gets a bit samey).
OMG that SpeedMaster in all blue and ceramic is just jaw-dropping. Love the bracelet too.
Snoopy !
Would not be my choice of timepieces but what a nice well spoken man. That’s what is so amazing about collecting, buy what you love and forget everyone else.
Koz well spoken apart from this “beeezle” thing.

If this is the last episode of the year it's the best why to close it, the two best journalist in Horology thank you so much and may God bless you, Merry Christmas
Collecting Vintage Watches agreed but then bezel pronunciation bothered me more than it should
Thank god, it's not Pras episode 3.
Great episode!
yes, God knows how much you secretly love pras's watch videos.
The real Archie is probably watching a tgv vid right now
lol @Phatso!
Great watch collection, great associated stories, and I really hope he gets that Rolex back. Thanks for this video.
I was missing this series a lot.
His VC is just breadth taking!!
Another great episode! I love that he isn't only focused on every variation or a Submariner or Daytona.
Beeeeezel
freshramses- laughing really hard....
An extraordinary gentleman and great interview, thank you Ben. I truly wish he could find his family watch, a true legacy to his wonderful family.
What an awesome meeting of minds. A delight to watch thanks!
See, this is what watch collecting is all about. Not just saying, well I became successful and I had money so I got these name-brands. No. There is a story and journey that you take with each piece and this collection itself is extremely beautiful and well diverse. Love it.
Wei Koh is such a boss...
Nick Zumbrun
Yeah he's great
He comes off as a good with really high standard of work, little tolerance for subpar performance... like a boss's boss.
I feel like he's full of shit, but maybe I'm wrong
Wow. This was awesome.
So knowledgeable, articulate, and well spoken. Great story teller which I loved.
One of the most enjoyable episodes
Wei Koh's collection is amazingly nice !! Amazingly beautiful !!
LOVE the originality of this man's collection
Wei is a true gentleman and a hustler, this guy personally moves a ton of watches. Respect.
"I put it on and it just makes me happy" - Surely the endgame of all watch collecting 😄
This is my second favourite Talking Watches episode, brilliant collection and a great ending to the video. My favourite episode has to be Jack’s gold Rolex. Would love to be a one watch guy.
Another great video. So interesting how every person you interview, has different watch collection pieces and different brand preferences. Also, how each watch, has some kind of meaning for them. Some pieces are really extreme in design. Fascinating.
I guess Hodinkee heard us after Pras part 2. Awesome episode with Wei Koh and Ben. Hope to see more like this!
Fantastic episode! Sometimes the collectors fail to live up to my expectation, but Wei Koh seems to be the boss (didn't know of him before I watched the vid) and has a story to tell about his watches!
Thanks Guys, Wei love the your collection, man you have some serious coin invested in watches! Max respect, love to see people succeeding and spending on their passion.
What a wonderful collection! Wei Koh is a real character; just like his collections.
Great segment. Very articulate guy. I have learned so much as a neophyte to watches. Thanks
Great episode. Like him, most of my watches have a story behind them. This really hit home when he mentioned the missing Rolex. I regret to this day selling my first milestone watch.
What an amazing episode, love the sake and NASA stories, and to my surprise all the speedmaster !
What a fabulous fun interview. Such a great fun raconteur. Thank you.
Subbed.
First time I’ve heard Wei speak - really well spoken and nice fellow. Definitely a unique collection as well.
Stunning and original collection. Great video.
This was great! Such an awesome collection!
love this guy and amazing collection - such colorful watches and such colorful stories behind all of them
I truly hope he can get his heirloom Rolex back. Great video.
Mr Koh takes it to another level. Great interview HODINKEE.
Amazing episode guys definitely one I'm gonna come back to over and over!
$10,000 cash! That's how you catch a criminal.
Three awesome Omega's! Great collection sir.
Beautiful collection. I particularly love the Gold AP.
enjoy your videos btw
Absolutely. Solid gold APs are something else.
ewww
A solid gold daydate 40 with a black diamond baguette dial is out of this world though!
fantastic episode! Love it! A big Hodinkee and Revolution Fan from Singapore!
Excited for this episode, one I've been expecting for a while.
Very unique collection! A nice change from the usual collections and very knowledgeable guest.
love the way he talks and love that he talks about the stories behind the watches.
I can watch these 2 chatting about watches all day
Lovely video. He was great to listen to. I enjoyed the stories behind his collection
I hope he gets his watch back, and I hope we hear about it if he does. Good luck Wei Koh! Great episode!
Best interview👍. Need more of this kind of people like Wei koh
My 2 favourite watch commentators - loved this one!
Great to see a guy that actually knows watches, talk about his collection. Unique collection too
I really enjoyed this episode.
Good work, Hodinkee Team. :)
Wow, what a fateful video - I just subscribed to Revolution magazine and am awaiting my first issue. Also, for some reason I was thinking of the Silver Snoopy and was going to Google it to see more photos but then - BAM! - this video appears.
Thanks for the video and the fascinating guest.
Happy Holidays to everyone...
You guys belong to the same family..... THE RICH FAMILY!
yeah i guess i need a RM so that someone sends me a bottle and pays my dinner bill! lol
Dayammm!
That De Bethune is such a beauty.
My favorite Talking Watches episode.
Waiting waiting............. and they finally upload one video!!!
Those three speedy's! What a lovely collection.
Best Talking Watches yet. Such a cool guy.
Insightful interview - truly a great collector.
That was a REALLY interesting and unique collection. Some of those watches I have never seen before, and frankly would not know where to even go to attempt to buy one.
i watch this every few months. probably my favourite episode after John Mayer 2 and Goldberger
What an awesome episode..I love this show
Excellent edition of Talking Watches!
Wei Koh is extremely well spoken. Great episode.
Solid, respectable collection. I love the DeBetune, they're an awesome brand.
I'll gladly watch another talking watches with Wei koh. What a difference between Pras and Wei Koh.
Great taste this guy has! I love the Richard Mille story in Tokyo!
Excellent & thoughtful collection
One of the best yet!
Awesome collection and animated story to enhance each time pieces.
You can learn a lot from this guy; very bright. Great interview.
WE NEED MORE OF THIS :-) Awesome content and keep us posted, if someone returns Wei Koh´s Rolex!
This dude has impeccable taste in my opinion. If I inherited his collection I would keep every single 1. He has a marvelous eye 4 uniqueness & refinement.
Absolutely in love with the snoopy, so sentimental for me.
His enthusiasm makes you excited about brands you previously hadn’t considered
Great collection, not all watches would be my cup of tea tough, but that's perfectly fine.
I wish him that he gets his Datejust back.
The Yes man himself! Great variety in his collection and like him, my first serious timepiece was a Panerai (PAM112).
Wonderful collection. You can tell he has fun with his collecting, thats what this is all about. I think some take this to seriously.
Finally a collection that I can relate to the most 🙌
Great episode. Thanks Hodinkee.
Great vid. He's very passionate about his collection.
Really enjoyed this episode!
What a collection!! He's also very articulate. I am actually starting to question if I am pronouncing "beh-zel" correctly... he really seems like he would know how to pronounce it the correct way.
Love their dynamic!
That gold AP is stunning. Big fan!
engaging conversation and telling of tales 👍🏼 grandad's watch was probably pawned, or sold on the blackmarket right away. perhaps someone has it and will see this one day.
Great background stories from Wei Koh.
I have been waiting for this one for a long long time
Collection on point, so cool to see a de Béthune !
Probably the best collection I've seen on Talking Watches, which is typically Talking Rolex (Daytona). Just needed a Nautilus or Aquanaut.
i love how quick wei speaks
ooh that gold AP and VC are majestic!
Wonderful episode
