Over here in The Netherlands, when you're from a village of small city, Big city folks call you a "Farmer" as an insult. Another great video Jonny. Ploughing is one of my favourite jobs (next to small square baling - go figure) and I cant even begin to add up the number of acres I've done over the years. It’s all to do with the amount of bog oak we have buried beneath the surface, we’l often hit whole trees that can be 40ft long. (We once hit one that was 96ft long)
The farm would rather replace shear bolts, and bent subsoiler legs, than have to replace a bent plough.
Because even with shearbolts and auto resets ploughs the wood can easily twist the whole frame of the plough.

Great video Jonny always nice to see the 1050 and the big plough in action and as always good job on the explanation of what you have to do with the depth adjustment, quite an involved process kinda makes me glad for how simple my little 2 furrow Ransomes is on my Dexta 🚜😃👍🏻
Thanks graham!! :) I know which one is harder to pull a straight furrow on!! lol
Got my major in bits now sorting a few issues out, really hope I can put it back together again lol
Jonny 1388 be nice to see the major again once you have it back together 👍🏻
Nice video Jonny. Not a bad job for a lad lol 👍

I’ve watched your headland videos, now that’s a “proper ploughman” at work!
@@Jonny1388 thanks for the nice comment. I like to think I do a half decent job. Even after 20 + years still think it's never good enough and still try to do better. Next time I've got plough on I mite do a video on setting one up properly
