Just a quick correction I wanted to make for it to make more sense. The first TD we fight as MC is Crownless but the TD we see in flashbacks and fight in act 6 is Dreamless.
as much as I love Wuwa, I don't think the game did a good job of introducing the world, at least in the early acts of the story. Anyway, thanks for the recap. it helped a lot.
Pretty much every gacha games lol. But the end of wuwa 1.0(act3-6) is probably the best. It is better than 1.0 genshin story( i think it ended when Venti got kicked by Signora?) and also HSR( it was so boring i forgot )
I think it created a fairly simple world that lets you understand that there was an apocalypse and people are fighting beings from it. There's a lot of extra details that bog down the main characters role in everything, but at least I can empathize with the common folk about the death of their loved ones. Seeing all the destroyed structures and roads and freaky creatures is a great way to show the player the state of the world. The amount of mystery piled on relating to factions, the sentinels, and other stuff is going to be a tough road to follow and I think it's definitely a detractor
I sort of agree but if we're to compare to its peers, I think its doing just fine and it also doesnt take long at all for it to pick up imo. Scar's quest is where it starts coming together and thats like, what, 1hours worth of playing at that point? Not a big deal. Always expect for the start of a new game to have more exposition in the first place considering its all new.
I think the reason Rover's memory is sealed or wiped is because their past memories could generate more phantoms when exposed to the retroact rain, which would be a great disadvantage in the war rather than a help considering this is not the first time rover has war with the threnodians. Anyone think the same?
I want to believe this because it's neat and a decent explanation for it! We'll see if the devs/writers go in this direction and honestly idk if they will. It feels very stereotypical self insert cheracter and... I hate that. But I like the game otherwise.
I need geshu lin as a playable unit. I am saving already. 😊 And please hope they make him lore accurate powerful . Its a thing that i have seen happen , the story suggest they are very strong and the ingame does not match that strength. 😂
bruhh last battle when u pop wings in cutscene was soooo cool.. and they made it even better in phase 2 fight with "ohhh shiz its not just for cutscene.. its a whole new element" and then battle goes on with new havoc mc which i really loved cuz of those wings and freaking scythe.. like who would have thought ur getting a 5 star character like animations and playstyle just like that.. it was such peak experience with surprises.. im glad there was not a single leak about that.. i hope in future we also get new element in same story manner..

One tning you didnt catch on, is what Scar said to Jihsi, While we dont actually hear it, but its no doubt Scar told Jihsi the guardian wasnt kidnapped by them, it came to them to join willingly. So Jue actually joined the fracticus. It make sense why it would rattle Jihsi and Jihsi mentioned in her talk to Channli, we may have to fight it as an enemy. It raises questions to me that the guardians might not actually be guardians. theirs supposely other guardians in other areas too. And if we look at the flashback, Rover may of kicked his ass back then too. It did look like he was coming in for a fight. What I find most interesting of the story, is the sighting of rover throught history. Rover has been in different eras in the past. Judging from what we seen and the goddess shown to us in the begining. Im going to bet rover is an avatar of that godess, that gets sent down to keep the balance with the Tactids. A warden of some kind. And fun fact, when they started talking about the rain being upside down, I remember the strangness of rover being upsidedown in the beginning cutscene (it stuck me as odd). I never understood why Rover was upside down, until the rain was mentioned.
Could be wrong but I want to believe for now fighting jue might be similar to absorbing echos and have him fight with rover. And it's important to remember scar could of been lying or embellishing a bit. Maybe to have the fight happen Jue needs to be with them and went willingly or allowed himself to be captured.
I would like to point out, that the final boss of Act 6 is not called the "crownless", but "dreamless", possibly the same one we see when we were with baizhi in jinzhou. I'm not sure if the "crownless" we captured is the same as the "dreamless" at the end.
They are not the same. If I understood correctly. Crownless was a Threnodian as well, an embodiment of war. Dreamless on the otherhand was born from the Ovathrax Threnodian. It was born from ovathrax after condensing it’s energy.

there some cool ideas but I quite dislike the use of prophecy as it is mostly lazy writing. Everyone convinintly knows thing cos they were just told to them via prophecy. It could have been much more deep and intercontected like fractudus inflitrator, black shored tellin Jinshi about expected appereance of you, some mini big event at the start of the story that makes you known to the ppl in jinjou. Instead everyone knows you and insta respects you. You could have saved jinshi from Scar or somenthing. then she could have tested you.
Sorry to say but it wasn't an "explanation", it was a résumé about the story. Still you did a great job with it!❤ There is too much that the story not telling us. But that would be ok if the story telling would be more intresting.

almost every story needs some amount of mystery to remain interesting, (as long as if its not a slice of life style). i believe this is based on chinese folklore, so it definitely makes much more sense to CN players.

Not gonna lie, this video is really appreciated because all this time I’m enjoying the game but I was confused as to what was happening with the characters.
I played through the story and didn't really understand what was going on and also forgot all of it... After watching this I already forgot half of the story and what all those special words even mean 😂

You messed up dreamless and crownless, and northfell barren is not the frontline fortress when the story started, the defense line was the desert-y area south of northfell barren.

for me genshin is just all side quests disguised as main quests lmao, I think Genshin has slightly better story telling when i compare 1.0 but later it gets better (for most people, not me, I quit after inazuma due to the side questy feel.) Im personally slightly more interested in WuWas origins but it is definitely dragged down from its over-exposition, also the MC is actually the MC of the story and not in name only.
Definitely on par. Just know that Genshin's story was much easier to digest, but the storytelling is lackluster and is bloated with dialogues. I think Hoyo's concept of a good story is more dialogue = good story. WuWa's on the other hand, also suffers from bad storytelling and the info dump at the beginning made the experience of Act 1-3 so confusing, but the NPCs, and some of the characters in Act 4-6(Scar, Aalto and Encore, Camellya, Jiyan, Geshu) made the story much more interesting and the final fight is fire af.

Ever since the cbt2 I had 2 unresolved questions about WuWa story: what's up with Jue and Fractsidus, and what happened to that village and that kid, what was that TD in a shape of a child representing, as well as discrepancies between the diary and other parts of that chapter.
Jue and Fractsidus storyline is still developing and vague so far but we know the Fractsidus kidnapped Jue to either kill him or just stop him from creating prophecies. And the fractsidus are trying to fuse TDS and humans to make their own resonators. The records of the village only say it was brought to justice and they lived elsewhere while they had no records of the girl. The little TD in the village is the remnant/memories of the little girl with the TD powers- hers stayed in the village because her sad emotions were so strong there. Her notes said scar did visit her in the village and told her a story about a black sheep which gave her the idea to stop letting the Shepard use her powers and that’s when the Shepard told the village she was a murderer and they all turned on her
@@OofieTV So, we have a Father in the story, a cult leader. He had an adopted daughter, who can manipulate frequencies of humans and TDs. She had a sister, who was injured and turned into a TD accidentally. But this sister is not the same as the TD we meet while investigating the village, this TD is just mimicking her words. We also have Big Brother in the story, who wanted to end the cult practices. Was he also a son of the Shepherd? Or was he an outsider who befriended the girl with those powers? Did the superpower girl survive? The diary in the cavern under the village says yes, notes on the surface kinda contradict that.
This is why Skip button is necessary, so lore YT can focus on feeding me the story while I play the game

Story-wise, is WuWa on par with Genshin's?
for me genshin is just all side quests disguised as main quests lmao, I think Genshin has slightly better story telling when i compare 1.0 but later it gets better (for most people, not me, I quit after inazuma due to the side questy feel.) Im personally slightly more interested in WuWas origins but it is definitely dragged down from its over-exposition, also the MC is actually the MC of the story and not in name only.

For 1.0 comparison it's way better than Genshin. People who say it's bad is using the EN VA and is grating so they skip/don't pay attention
Definitely on par. Just know that Genshin's story was much easier to digest, but the storytelling is lackluster and is bloated with dialogues. I think Hoyo's concept of a good story is more dialogue = good story.
WuWa's on the other hand, also suffers from bad storytelling and the info dump at the beginning made the experience of Act 1-3 so confusing, but the NPCs, and some of the characters in Act 4-6(Scar, Aalto and Encore, Camellya, Jiyan, Geshu) made the story much more interesting and the final fight is fire af.
Why do gatcha games always make the same story mistakes? Like good god, have they not figured out how to make a damn anime? YOU'VE GOT THOUSANDS OF EXAMPLES
Maybe cuz it’s made from a Chinese company meanwhile anime is created in Japan.

Ever since the cbt2 I had 2 unresolved questions about WuWa story: what's up with Jue and Fractsidus, and what happened to that village and that kid, what was that TD in a shape of a child representing, as well as discrepancies between the diary and other parts of that chapter.
Jue and Fractsidus storyline is still developing and vague so far but we know the Fractsidus kidnapped Jue to either kill him or just stop him from creating prophecies. And the fractsidus are trying to fuse TDS and humans to make their own resonators.
The records of the village only say it was brought to justice and they lived elsewhere while they had no records of the girl.
The little TD in the village is the remnant/memories of the little girl with the TD powers- hers stayed in the village because her sad emotions were so strong there.
Her notes said scar did visit her in the village and told her a story about a black sheep which gave her the idea to stop letting the Shepard use her powers and that’s when the Shepard told the village she was a murderer and they all turned on her
@@OofieTV So, we have a Father in the story, a cult leader. He had an adopted daughter, who can manipulate frequencies of humans and TDs. She had a sister, who was injured and turned into a TD accidentally. But this sister is not the same as the TD we meet while investigating the village, this TD is just mimicking her words. We also have Big Brother in the story, who wanted to end the cult practices. Was he also a son of the Shepherd? Or was he an outsider who befriended the girl with those powers? Did the superpower girl survive? The diary in the cavern under the village says yes, notes on the surface kinda contradict that.
