The DIY completely blows the original away. Amazing job as usual.
Honestly I always prefer the DIY versions. First of all because I can watch you craft for days. Second, because with the store bought sets one is so limited to color palette and size. The DIY projects you put out gives people more room to customize things to their own aesthetic and preferred doll scale. Even if the project ends up costing a little more than the store bought thing it still gives people more options when it comes to storage so in the end a few extra dollars might be worth it, and there is also the recycling aspect too.
Could you make a Mexican themed restaurant? The arched windows made me think of that. Loved the pool, thanks!
That would be so fun! There's always such great embellishments on the walls, with tiles and custom art, and objects like pottery or hats or plants or whatever!
That's perfect for Cinco de Mayo which is coming up in May. My favorite restaurant has a center area that is a couple of steps lower than the seating around the perimeter, sombreros all over the walls, mini dolls, plants, those rounded clay firepits or stoves in miniature, not sure what they're called. I'm not sure if she makes drinks but maybe a virgin strawberry daiquiri, little flag banners. Very colorful. Might tie into the Encanto theme?
Then there's all the food, baskets of chips and those containers that keep tortillas warm. Can probably make platters of food with hot glue, she's already got tacos and burritos, could use the tinted ModPodge trick for sauces like with the pancake syrup.
She could make lots of mini projects for food and hats and stuff and then pull it all together with the room. Paintings of Mexico on the walls too

@@recoveringsoul755 You can soak burlap in white glue, and drape it over a bottle cap to make the base of a basket or a hat too!
Then pull out a few strands to braid, to finish the edge.
Good for baskets to hold plants, or bread/chip baskets.
@@Marialla. oh that's a good idea! Like for straw hats? The sombreros I usually see on their walls are those velvet looking ones with embroidery and sequins and sometimes little mirrors? I think I've seen miniatures of them but i can't remember where, maybe the county fair. But some restaurants give away the straw hats if it's your birthday

I don't know if you've ever brought this up in a video but a great alternative to scrapbook paper or printables when covering a large surface is contact paper or self adhesive wallpaper. Amazon has a similar rock pattern I have one that I've used on my mini's that looks a lot like the printable and it helps me save ink. I've seen wood grains too!

Really liking this! If you wanted lights you could string fairy lights across the top like a canopy.
Or even line the bottom edges and corners with them while assembling and then hide the battery boxes inside the stairs or under the bar.

Reminds me of being in the islands at a private resort. Really adorable and loved the furniture. You do such a wonderful job making room boxes for the dolls and are great at giving us less creative people some ideas to make for ourselves. Take care.

Even though I don't like the idea of an eating/sitting area near the pool, you did a great job! This doll room looks amazing.
I like these rooms that fold up into a box. That pool is genius with that clear tray. Doll packaging isn't the only source of plastic, there's also food packaging. You missed an opportunity to put mermaids in that pool! In the 70's I heard about a bar that was sort of dark and under a hotel or something. There was a large window that was the wall of a pool and they had live people dressed as mermaids swimming around there. You couldn't see the surface of the pool so that wouldn't ruin the illusion that they could breath underwater. Had a treasure chest and stuff like an aquarium would

Video idea : making mini hidden doll rooms for our dolls
I scaled it down to 10x10x10 for the walls for our Mini AG (6.5)and Chelsea dolls.

Some colorful "metal" or "ceramic" wall decorations be an extra touch that would break up the wall space and add some color. It's a great DYI win.

I made an extension for my RH pool so that the stairs lead to a deck with the pool far right. The existing pool space makes a great disco bar area and there is a small area behind for the server to stand. Unfortunately like you though, I've no room to have it on display permanently. Love your crafts and your sincerity. You have inspired me to enjoy my dolls more after being in a slump XX

Lovely work as always! It does look like an enclosed pool, or maybe an outdoor pool with walls for privacy? I think the stone paper looks really good with the water. And I really like the furniture with the twine, it does give a patio furniture feel. I don't know if it would take up too much space or not, but if you wanted lights, maybe you could put a light puck on the inside of the pool where the table is? Then it could give a lighted pool look? Too bad they don't have miniature versions of those, then they'd look like real pool lights. Again, awesome job!

You could also use that one method with clear plastic, where you make cutouts for the dolls to sit in the pool, and it looks like there’s water in it. You could even make different cutouts for multiple positions and a different amount of dolls! You could also try to add some clear plastic stands so it looks like the dolls are floating, like I guess if they were sitting down while floating? Lol idk, but it’s a thought!
She has video that does that. Look for her swimming pool videos. She has several.

I like the way the Toya's new poster board hidden doll rooms fold up in a book-ish like way. They take up less room on a shelf and open up to reveal magical spaces inside. Totally cool
