''I Want You Back'' - John Eddie & P.K. Lavengood - Dougherty’s @ Resorts Hotel & Casino - 4/27/24

John Eddie and His Dirty Ol' Band were given a hard curfew of 10 p.m. for their concert on the stage of Resorts Superstar Theatre in Atlantic City, New Jersey. They finished the show at 9:55 but John Eddie wasn't about to go home just yet. He and his ''human jukebox'' guitarist, P.K. Lavengood wanted to play some more and so they came to the after party in the massive lobby of Dougherty's Steakhouse and, with some help from the great Pat Gaudagno (who even sang one of John's songs...at John's request) for a six-song acoustic set. That lobby was packed with fans who had been at the show and just wanted a six pack for the road. Standing there and watching and listening to all of this transpire was simply wonderful. ''The Faithful'' sang loud and proud on each song (I hope that comes through here) and put a nightcap on an evening with John Eddie that brought back so many memories of shows, and years, gone by when John was a regular in Atlantic City. Hopefully, we'll get to do this all again someday but, for now, please enjoy this cover of the Jackson 5's ''I Want You Back''. This song is a favorite of John's and one that he has made his very own over the decades that he has been singing it. Thank you for watching...and for reading this.

It was a good show, haven't seen him in forever, wish he would have done some more slower songs, but all good, always leaves you wanting more.... thanks for posting this after show

Thanks for posting. Been enjoying all of the Faithful posts from this eve as I was unable to attend. This South Jersey girl hoping for some outdoor Hard Rock shows this summer! JE kinda like the soundtrack to my life, "discovered" him in a shit hole bar before I was legally old enough to drink and before his 1st album :)
