Wtf is the timing.. I was just about to look up “how to play ancient like a pro” and BOOM this pops up in my recommended. Thanks dude! Easily the best cs2 series on UA-cam for me rn
Thank you for making such informative guides without making immature jokes and talking in a UA-camr voice. You’re a real one and im happy i found your channel.
I just wanna comment on the design of these series.. I love it. It is so unique and I can tell it's Polo's content just by the unique font you're using. I think if you keep that same font for your next content, that will give more originality to your channel. Thank you for the content!! 🙏🏻
Man, this video is so helpful as an igl for a new team. We want to play Ancient, and I got the basic concept of the map, but your explanations are so salient compared to my previous thoughts on the map. Curious on your thoughts of the evolution of the meta and lots of ct teams seemingly playing off mid at tier 1. It looks like mid-round mid takes are very difficult to defend against as a ct, and maybe it has to do with the utility commitment as well?
i love these videos as it's really good to learn about the maps and their theories, but id be nice if you segmented the video in a way that is more organized. (ex. maybe by sites or ct/t)
playing at such a high level thanks to my avid viewership and prime sub to pol0's twitch channel, where he live-streams demo reviews and regularly destroys top 100 level north american faceit counter strike players. thank you pol0 counter strike 🐐
in very dumb terms is a good way of describing map theory to have 3 players on ct try and be in the spots that Ts try and attack the most? so essentially the main 2 parts of a map (Mid and B on ancient) for example you wanna utilize 3 cts towards the more aggressive areas that the Ts are trying to attack? or would it be a good habit to always utilize 3 cts towards mid and have 2 anchors? is that like the universal concept for holding the highest probability for winning rounds on ct?
Definitely put more numbers towards where the Ts are normally going, but it’s okay to setup and awp to play retake and take the other areas of the map that are free
there's a console command you can bind to rethrow your last nade if you wanted to demonstrate where the flashes work better (if you didn't know already), not sure if it works on the servers you're on but its pretty neat, sv_rethrow_last_grenade i believe
I recently had a game where my team was super focused on wanting to take mid and b. (This is lvl 10 and I just got to it and my team were a couple top 1000s.) We had a lead and my team was convinced that we needed to fight mid and b, but if the other team has 2 mid and 2 b we can just fight A, no? Anyways, we were getting util dumped from b and we got cooked and lost 11-13.
That scenario is where you play slow and let them waste util to hold onto the control, then last 50 seconds of the round they dont have util to block you and u have all the util in the world + numbers advantage (5 T's retaking on 2 B players)
@@Pol0cs ya, I kept trying to say that but my high level players refused to listen lmao. You can’t win if you team is egoing. Such a shame because we had such a strong lead.
can you make videos about maps that are not about how to play it at a high level but more like an introduction and basics? i'm a returning player and ancient/anubis are completely unknown to me, i don't even know the layout and haven't bothered touching them because it's a tedious process to learn new maps, i'm sure there are other people like me who'd like to see beginner friendly videos
ok guys but wat if his name was pooloo that would be pretty funny i think

That what the series I started today is focused on :) more micro stuff and individual spots than big picture map theory
Always happy to see the content going (:
