Landing gear used with 5th wheel trailers with the crankhandles removed and a steel sleeve protecting the shaft. License plate numbers painted on the roof . Rectangular tube welded to the suspension allowing the owner to slip in and lock big pins thru the spokes of the wheels in seconds allowing a quarter turn to lock the pin . Solar panels glued on the roof to keep a battery charged for the motion sensor alarm that causes all the running lights to flash SOS and triggering a air horn also run off the battery. It's also easy to slow down fuel and converter thefts. Talk to your local precast concrete manufacturer about flat sided barriers to go around the back of the trucks just high enough to not allow theives to climb under. A stubby version or an Island under the middle. These can be cast hollow and filled with dirt sand or gravel.
I have tried that also in the past. Problem I have had is that if the air tag is following someone with an iPhone that it is not registered to, it warns that person. I pops up on the iPhone and says “Unknown AirTag detected near you”. This unfortunately gives thieves an opportunity to locate them and discard them.
unfortunately a common theft item and method. best thing to do is have a hidden GPS tracker on your goods as this will normally allow the item to be located and suspect(s) captured in a very timely manner.
That's probably the best deterrent alonjg with a lockable lug nut after the wheels are removed.. Criminals are lazy and won't take the time to get wheels that would fit - too many variables in the bolt pattern and spacing. Cameras ans security gates are not effective at least in this video.
Those gates that swing open are bad. at the airport we have gates to run on tracks. you pull in and open the gate if a car comes up behind you you sit and wait to the gate closes.
I agree. Even the police during the raid mentioned that most of them will be out in 24 hours. Some like the one I mentioned had priors and spent longer.
I steal trailers for a living. If you own an other trailer, you can just switch that plat back and forth between yuor legitimate tag and put it on your free trailer.
Legend with the 6 year update!

Don't forget: Giant cargo-net that falls over entire trailer, trapping the ne'er-do-wells!
Some great ideas. Always a balance between protection and creating a pain to use.
You can tell that guy has never pulled a trailer before or at least not regularly
I agree. The weird thing is that they had other trailers at the chop shop. I’m guessing he wasn’t the driver on those.
No shit, Sherlock….
I scatter 6 well hidden air tags on my toys. Sorry for the loss and hope for a successful recovery.

Agree. I will talk more about the GPS trackers and how they have already saved me in my next video. That should be out on Tuesday.
Tribe members…doing what they do best
For longer storage, I would take the time to remove the trailer wheels.

Watching these idiots try to pull out is hilarious.
Catch and release. No fear of getting caught

Take the yoke off the trailer!

Lame robbers……
