@@eccentricericYeah the maker of the video reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to help. I covered Sabula, Davenport, the Iowa River, and Grace Hill. I did chase all the way down to Ottumwa but I didn't give him all of my footage.
Wow! Spectacular program. I bet this was major undertaking to produce. This has some of the best Mexico coverage I’ve seen thus far. Once again, great work. 👍🏼
I was there in Grandview, MO! I was amazed at how many people traveled so far to see Empress. One guy I heard came from San Diego, another from Boston. Another guy drove up from Arkansas and here I was the hyperlocal person who rolled out of bed slapped on yesterday’s clothes and came from like 3 miles away. 😂 (because I read an article in Martin City Telegraph about it). Also, thank you so much to whoever that was getting the train coming over that KCS 1928 dated viaduct. I didn’t see too many people get that shot. Also, all in all, wonderful footage.
Canadian Pacific 2816 (Built by Montreal Locomotive Works in December 1930) hauling a passenger excursion train from Calgary, Alberta, Canada all the way up to Mexico City, Mexico.
Hi, only two of the several photographers were shooting in 4K. Many of the submitted shots from Mexico were shot in 720P and were upscaled to 1080P. Short of deleting what is on UA-cam and re-rendering and uploading a 4K version I think we are stuck. Also, I don't think the 720P video would look all that great in 4K.
Oh, bother! I'm sorry, guys. I was too busy playing Disney Dreamlight Valley on my Xbox that I didn't know about the premiere of Canadian Pacific Empress 2816: Calgary to Mexico City. Before I realized it, I was too late. I'm sorry. If I had paid attention to this program in the first place, this wouldn't have happened.
1:44:36 that’s awesome I was in the same photo line in Dequincy 1:46:54 and I was across the tracks from the liberty depot Here’s a link to the video of my chase of the train I caught up with the Empress in Shreveport went to the Friday Railroad event and chased it from Shreveport Louisiana down to the imperial sugar plant in Sugarland Texas ua-cam.com/video/F7nlf6HktCM/v-deo.htmlsi=tNtTYIWls4OWmfgV
While traveling through Mexico, 2816 hit and killed a 29 year mother who was with her son. And it happened because she was standing too close to the tracks.
The sequence from 1:54:16 - 1:55:48 has to be my favorite steam show of all time. I love how you can hear the diesels helping too.
The noise certainly filled the canyon!
This is gonna be a big program.
2 hours 6 minutes
Currently watching it on my TV in the living room at my place, and man.... I was NOT expecting the addition of Closed Captions! O_O
I love the Hudson
I helped out with footage on this!
you did? so they didn't do all their own footage? I wondered how they got video from so many places as that is a long long trip down and back.

@@FutureRailProductions interesting. can you still use your footage you gave them on your channel?
@@eccentriceric yeah. Video is still up.
@@FutureRailProductions I wasn't sure how it worked and if you give up the rights if they use it.
This is a great video. 👍 My favorite steam locomotive. Keep up the hard work.

Thanks. Got done editing 4 months to the day after my first shot. Monstrous undertaking…
Very talented bunch of photographers working with me.
Well done. There was a pace scene at track speed early on near Foxholm, North Dakota that was outstanding. Dashing along in her element.
Thanks for the complement! Monster project to be sure.
This was a loooooong tour

Empress Marion our Hudson.
I was unable to see her in person when she came through Texas but I have this and other videos!

Fantastic video. Its definitely one of the best steam productions you have produced.
Thank you!
2816 ran that trip very well even if it was a very long trip through Canada, the United States, and Mexico
@@RileyWren-r6o The crew commented on how well she was running. Listen to her HERE: 1:31:07
I was excited to see this 💯💯

1:45:15 and there's me!
Gotta love the Empress
Great video. Nice seeing you a Decatur
@@AidanDesaiRailProductions2003 Nice running into you as well. I’m sure we’ll see each other down the road!
Empress is gorgeous
Awesome 🚂👍🚃
I would suggest upgrading the quality on youtube to show 4k video as a quailty option for these please.
