Good morning everyone, I show you my latest video: I built a simple jig for punching flat and round parts, in the now more or less advanced laser era I built something "old-style" which is based on a "needle viewfinder" and a metric row to decide the step between one letter/number and another; Hope you like it, Alberto.
Thanks dear Joseph, the round bar was the first dream but i decided to give also this possibility at the end of the project adn it come out well too !! Ciao and see you soon !! Alberto
Ciao Mark, yes the tumbler work very well: i have some friends that they use a great quantity of small small needles instead of walnut but I was a little doubtful about the aggressiveness of these! Happy and proud that you liked my idea!!
Ciao Alberto. Such a great idea and build. Not only does it look very attractive, it also performs very well. Molto piacevole. Ben fatto amico mio. 👏👏👍😀
Wow Michael !! thanks for your comment, the idea come from sewing needle so i have to say thanks to my wife, as always you know !! (🤣) See you soon, a big Ciao from Italy, Alberto
Ciao Dean!! thanks and happy that you liked the idea: i always loved the serial numbers or dates wrote over the barrels...so i decide to make something that can write also on round bars!! Ciao Dean, see you soon !! Alberto.
Hi Reg !! the serial numbers wrote on small pins, barrel and so on was always something fantastic for me ! Now i can write on round stock without any problem !! Ciao Reg and thanks for the comment, Alberto.
Ciao Paul, the viewfinders was the start point of the project: i make a "mechaninc" copy of what you do when you take a measure with a ruller and that was the result !! Thanks Paul for your comment!! See you soon, Alberto.
Hi Jack, yes really !! It was a stand-by project and finally i finished!! I want to use it in my next videos in the future and i will !! Thanks for your kind comment !! A big ciao from Italy, Alberto
Nice work, as usual. There is a way to drill hole corners so the corner is on the arc of the hole and the center of the circle is on the line that bisects the angle of the corner. Very similar to what you have done. There is some times a small kusp if the corner drill is too small compared to the endmill used to cut the pocket. I find that a 1/8 inch drill works well with a 1/4 inch endmill
Thanks Adrian, i'm very glad that you liked my job: sometime i think that it can be interesting also how i make holes, jobs lathe and son on, this is why i like to share, i learn from other channels and i hope that somebody use my techniques to work at home!! A big ciao from Italy Adrian, Alberto
Nice workmanship but can you closeup the space between letters? I made one years ago that was adjustable for moving the spacing in and out of the stamps and was also mountable around circumferences; for stamping round parts.
This Cameron was my first attemp to create device with variable spacing, of course there Is a min that you can do, but i am happy because It works fine; It can be better to create a small surface on roud stuff, to be sure that all the letter go down in the same way, i was watching also a laser time ago but the price to write on the metal Is very high! So for the moment i create this!! 😀 Thanks for your comment and see you soon!! Alberto
@AB-SHOP I will be watching also I am going to try and build me one because I have always want to stamp things but couldn't do it straight and even so I wouldn't! Thanks !
