9:10 this is HELLA useful dude, that wouldve saved me so much time earlier today while I was working on another project. I did some trick using bridging faces and it worked. Buuuut, beforehand I almost went in and knife cut everything 💀

clean flow Josh. yes, the tendency for new artists exploring the sci fi realm is to over-greeblize the model. the outcome then looks confused and complicated with a lack of design intent. and zero implied functionality. slapping on massive secondary/tertiary details does the exact opposite to “sell” a shape/form. keep hammering bro!

I think the understanding of model flow comes with modelling experience, can't really force it on anyone who barely understands what they're doing.

Couldn't you just do alt E and press extrude along normals instead of extrude-cancel-alt S

there are many ways of doing many things in blender.
      that’s why it’s such a creative suite. 3+2=5 and 2+3=5 it’s all about preference.

      @@sak6653 still it's good to know all the options because some of us are doing 1 + 1 + 1.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 2 - 1 + 1 = 5 :) So thanks!
