    You describe the sound perfectly. It’s hard to describe the sound and speed ...I was reluctant for months . But finally purchased the TAD 50 . It’s perfect. PERFECT.

      I just got another one the other day. Great picks indeed!

    The Blue Chips are worth every penny, I use the TAD 50-60. These picks really help when flatpicking and the tone is the best I’ve heard. The bevel is buttery smooth and they are easy to hold on to,

    I like these so much I have about 10 of them in different sizes and shapes to experiment. It really impacts your sound! It's wild!

    Their thinnest pick is now a 35 but is only offered in a teardrop. I dropped them a line and they made me a 35 in a TAD shape, no extra cost. Great pick for strumming Celtic backup!

    I just ordered one of those fancy picks . It does actually smack the strings … worth trying different picks . Especially when so many people swear by them .

      I think you'll enjoy using the pick. While there are other good picks on there, I'm still using Bluechips consistently .

    They will last , doesn’t need replacement. So @ 35$ , and if you don’t loose it , you will be playing for several years with 1 , YEAH 1 !!!! pick . So , very cheap if you ask me !! Great review ! I have one myself , for years now , still like new !

    If you've ever played with one you've realized it doesn't matter the price. You're usually swiping your card before you have a chance to ask for the price anyways- Truly worth every penny and I will continue to use a Blue Chip for the rest of time. Im more worried about losing it than wearing it out.

    Beginning at $35 apiece and goes up from there. Crazy. I'm sure they are nice but that is way too rich for my blood.

      35 dollars for something you use every second of playing your instrument that lasts for years. too expensive :joy:

    • @hifijohn
      @hifijohn 2 роки тому

      Yes for that price it better play the guitar by itself.

  • @hifijohn
    @hifijohn 2 роки тому +1

    They have to show me the expensive and complex manufacturing process and expensive material the pick is made form to justify this type of price.

    Martin retro strings will give you that same tone with a regular pick.

      Pack of strings every 1-2 months or one pick for a few years... probably cheaper to get the pick

    I can’t spend that much on a pick unless I’ve tried it. Where can I try them in the Nashville TN area ?

    • @mwr

    Do you use speed bevel or round bevel.

    • @NoUseForAName0626
      @NoUseForAName0626 4 роки тому

      That's what I'm trying to find out too.. I'm definitely going to order one but I'm not sure if I want a speed bevel or round bottom. I'm a strummer or rhythm player.. not sure which would be better

      A bunch of truly accomplished guitarists state otherwise and Blue Chip has been doing business for a couple decades now - which does kinda make you wonder exactly how insightful your observation is

    The tri-corner is about $60. Let me translate that for you. That's 12 sets of guitar strings, a dozen Dunlop 2.0 ultex picks and 1/2 dozen dawg picks, for 1 pick!!!! If you think that is a good deal, can I roll one out of your bag?

    • @mwr
      @mwr  6 років тому +7

      They start around 35$ and I'm into quality picks as this is my profession. So, to me, it's worth the price.

    • @andtothewestamerica
      @andtothewestamerica 5 років тому +3

      Many guitarists will spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on gear that will not improve their instrument's tone or dynamics as one of these $35 picks will. I've got two, no regrets.

    • @mwr
      @mwr  5 років тому +2

      They're the real deal.

      @@andtothewestamerica You know what? It is THE point where we make contact with our instrument!! How many players have we all seen who spend a ton of dough on a pedal, or a pickup? Rubber meets the road at the pick, if you are a picker. I wholeheartedly agree with your comment :)

      I’m with you... sixty dollars is more than I want to spend a plectrum.... for my hobby. But I would be glad to borrow one.
