The American Midwest is more like Ukraine….with farmland as far as eyes can see with small villages and towns and big cities for clubs, coffee and shopping. Every state is different, very different.
That it is I lived in Tulsa for a time and it's like liveing in that transition between Kyiv and the open step with rolling hills before going into flat rich farm land.
Welcome to the USA! We're happy you're here. Hope you meet good people and make friends and have many positive experiences and few negative ones. Take care of yourself. Slava Ukraini!
When you cross a border into a different state it is very noticeable. Everything changes state to state as you enter. Driving across the USA is an awesome trip. Don’t judge USA by California because we are huge country with expansive spaces. Diversity within diverse places.
No it's not lol. If you want to see different and very noticeable think of the countries she had to cross before getting her final flight. Crossing state lines is nothing. People still speak the same language, the money is the same, the roads are the same as are the stores, you don't need special adapter for electronics, etc. It's all mostly the same from state to state. OK maybe scenery is different but that is how it is almost everywhere on earth when you go from one region to another.
@@jdanon203 In the US English is the predominant language, but there are interesting differences. I've noticed differences between south Texas and east Texas. That's true in several other countries as well. Roads are the same? There is uniformity concerning interstate highways but even those vary state to state. Back roads vary widely in my experience. There are national store brands but there are large regional differences especially in smaller towns. As a son of a beach, I grew up on seafood. There is not a single seafood restaurant closer than 30 miles (50 kilometers) of where I live now. No special electrical adapters needed when crossing state lines. Correct. It's not the kind of diversity we seek. "...It's all mostly the same from state to state..." Maybe your shallow view of you cell phone is equally boring wherever you are.
Don't judge Calif over all. It is like a small country, very diverse, with major cities and rural areas that you might find in Texas and all in between. The economy is # 5 world wide.
I am from Tennessee. I have been learning Ukrainian since the beginning of the war (taught myself just by reading online, watching videos). I still have a lot to learn, but the alphabet is easy and I can pronounce/read no problem. Just have to remember what all words mean now! I love Ukrainian culture and language. I hope to visit Kyiv one day.
@chriscalderin6677 The rampant corruption in Ukraine is mostly a thing of the past. Much has changed since the people revolted, and got rid of the Russian puppet government.
My hat is off to you for learning so much about Ukrainian language. It would be like me saying, "I read Einstein's biography, and now I understand nuclear physics."
@@robertgoss4842 I mean I'm not fluent by any means. Learning the alphabet and how to sound out/read the words really was not that difficult for me. Or H in English for N in Ukrainian. For examples. It does feel weird alot when I can read Ukrainian and say the words out loud with no issues but I have no idea what most of them mean. Lol. I need to devote more time to remembering the words' meanings. Problem is I currently have no practical everyday reason for it. But then again, I am smarter than the average bear. I was valedictorian in HS, have a BS in Comp Science/IT. So, there's that, also. Not trying to toot my own horn just providing my background. Thank you for your compliment!
welcome to the US. Something perhaps to keep in mind is that the US is *extremely* varied. Lifestyle can differ vastly from one zip code to another, from one state to another, and from one region to another. I live in New England; my life in a small town is about as different as your life in LA as I can imagine (I have a lot of family in greater LA so I don't say this casually). The one similarity is we all still need cars to get around... anyway, welcome, glad to see you here. Ask us, we will help you with anything.
Taya, I was born and raised in Los Angeles. In my Twenties I could not wait to get a job that would allow me to buy my first home. When I did, I bought as much home as I could afford (San Dimas - 1,800 square feet). I fixed it up and sold it, now it’s worth over 1 million dollars. Best thing I ever did for my peace and quiet. I’ve traveled all over the world. Nothing is more precious than owning your own home to live in, other than the family you love and would protect with your life. Welcome to America! I hope you see how truly BIG it is!
Welcome! As has been said many times, America is hugely different from one place to another within its borders. I hope you feel free to move around until you find the location and lifestyle that fits you best. Some people choose different locations for different seasons. I like the Pacific Northwest Mountains in the summers and the Southern California desert in the winter. I get my fill of both city and country lifestyles that way too.
I am shocked how did I not know you were even coming to US. I hope you enjoy yourself. And your right long trip that was made longer because you had to start with a 12 hour train ride. Wish you chose the east coast but you do what is best for you. Enjoy and welcome to America. Slava Ukraine
Welcome to California Taya! I have lived here since I was born so I know my state pretty well. Depending on where you are staying California can be very expensive. It's funny when you said gas was cheaper here, because in California it is $1 - $3 more expensive than the rest of the US. They say that California represents every kind of geography, from rugged coastlines, tropical beaches, deserts, snowcapped mountains, fields of grain, rain forests, to big cities we have it all. From the highest point in the contiguous United States (Mt. Whitney in the Sierras) to the lowest (Badwater Basin in Death Valley) only about 100 miles separate them. If you ever need any insight during your stay, feel free to ask.
And once , if California was a separate country, it would have been the 6th most wealthy country. It's probably around somewhere the tenth today with countries like Indonesia, Korea Taiwan China having leaped ahead.
I've been living in north Georgia for the past 21 years. California gas prices have been a lot more than a $1-3 difference from here, at least during the Obama years, I recall. I don't know how much it is there right now, but I can say my gas for the past 2 weeks straight has been under $2.50, and continuing to go down each week still. And just a few years ago, before the current administration, it came within 5 cents of reaching the last 2002 price I remember, which was $1.19.
Our Governor Newsom is working against the oil companies price gouging. California gasoline prices are generally higher and more variable than prices in other states because relatively few refineries produce California's unique blend of gasoline. California's reformulated gasoline program is more stringent than the federal government's program. #EnvironmentalStandards
Your child-like exuberance is contagious. Welcome to America, Thank you for all the long hours of travel you endured to come here. Your comments are fascinating. I think you will do well while you are here.
Yes her comments were of great interest. My take is that her head was still spinning. Wishing Taya a good experience ....and she may consider visiting a Wall Mart etc. and reporting back .
Great to see you in the USA. I hope you are staying long enough to travel the country. The topography is beautifully varied as you go from state to state. Have a rewarding experience.
Taya, you need to understand that California has the highest cost of living in the entire US. I have two houses in the mountains north of LA and live permanently in Texas. I can tell you that the cost of living in Texas versus my life when in California is about 50% less in Texas. Fuel, utilities, groceries, basically everything is MUCH less expensive in Texas (and most of the rest of the US) than California.
Yeah, tell me about the electricity bill of your big Texas house in the summer. People pulling down 6 figures find it hard to keep their house cool. It's worse than the mortgage.
These states especially: California, Oregon, Washington, New York, Illinois - are dominated by major metropolis areas that are the stupidest places in the US these days. Is best to stay well away from them - or get well away from them. Things cost so much (California has some THE highest petrol prices in the US and they have huge electricity rate hikes that are soon going into effect) as due to deliberate political policies. Anything over priced, anything, Taya, that strikes you as really stupid, retro-grade, or even out right (and shockingly) degenerate - will be due to political policies brought about by these specific major metropolis areas. Because these areas dominate the ballot box at election time due to their population density, they screw up the entire states they are located in, as otherwise the rest of the areas of these states tend to be very reasonable - inclining toward being quite the opposite of the insanity found in their respective major cities.
When I lived in LA I never used the building's washing machine because it would take me all day to get it done. Plus other people would jump in and use the machine so it was a mess. I used to go instead to a laundromat where I could use 10 machines at once and get it done in an hour or two. Also, LA is a big city and things change from one neighborhood to the next. Where you are is just typical of that section, but not of another. Some neighborhoods are newer and apartments offer central air, others are much older - maybe 100 years old, so you'll get ceiling fans and poor insulation instead. Enjoy your trip!
Welcome to the US, Taya! Glad you are here. Since you are near Los Angeles, you need to get on Interstate 40 and come about 2500 miles east to North Carolina. This is a very big country. I hope you'll get to see a lot of it. Have a great time here.
There is a reason its called the United States. We used to be only loosely connected in the beginning. We started as States before being united. Each state still retains its own character and is proud of its culture. The US is vast and contains many many cultures and diverse things and youll always be surprised by something you didnt expect. Down to interesting local nuances. Thats why its extremely interesting even for us who are citizens to travel to other states. Sometimes like traveling to another country.
I understand that most young, especially those who are female, foreigners who visit U.S., tend to typically desire to visit SoCal as representing their preconceived romantic vision of America?? But it's very unfortunate truly, whereas the cultural and societal experience is very complex and diverse and deep... Southern Cal is indeed diverse, but probably a diversion to a more positive opportunity to explore. Love, support and respects to you Taya and to Ukraine 🏊🔛
I've visited the US a number of times and always have a great time - and as you say, you have to visit SoCal including LA, Santa Monica, Venice, San Diego etc. But I've enjoyed states like Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oregon MUCH more. I wouldn't rush to go back to LA, if I'm honest. 🇬🇧 🇺🇦 🇺🇸
Taya, there are other places in the US that you could visit that you'll find not so expensive. So overall, affordable. I was just lucky to have relatives in California so I didn't pay for anything. They even let me see top tourist places for free. In your case, it's good to explore online first for good tips. I've traveled Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. I'm so budget-conscious so searching on the web helped. I love US, particularly Chicago.
It's so fun to see you in USA, Taya. A lot of laundry rooms in apartment/condo buildings now have a card that you insert in the machines and there is a machine on the wall where you add money to your card similar to adding money to a public transport card. Most apartments in USA have air conditioning, but yes many older buildings in places like new york city don't have it, so it's something you need to ask about before renting if it's important to you.
I hope she gets into a better place soon enough. If her place doesn't have AC it must not be in a very good area. I live in Discovery Bay. It's a terrible place to live without a car-the nearest grocery store would take about 30-40 minutes to walk to...maybe. But it's quiet and safe, relatively speaking, and everything has AC thanks to how hot it gets in the summer time.
If you're still in Los Angeles, try contacting Karolina Protsenko, the 15-year-old violinist who lives in Simii Valley and often plays on Saturdays on 3rd Street in Santa Monica...
Welcome to the USA. I'm not sure how long you're here but enjoy your visit. If you can, get out of California and see some of the other states as well, there are some fantastic sights to see in the western U.S.
Yes, the area around Hollywood is actually kind of a dump. There are nicer areas, but to be honest I'm not a big fan of LA. The best part about it is simply the nice weather. I recommend you visit Yosemite at least once while you are in California. Enjoy your stay!
I grew up visiting relatives in LA often, when I was a kid. It's crazy expensive, compared to anyplace else, except New York and the rest of the urban northeast. Almost all other states cost about 1/2 to 1/3 of what California does.
Welcome to California Taya! Thank you for sharing your first impressions of the USA. I hope you enjoy your stay here. I can’t wait to see your next adventures! Greetings from…California! 🤩✌🏻🫶
I’m so happy for you, Taya. You should visit the south east. Florida, Louisiana, Georgia. Things are much cheaper and the food and people are awesome. ❤ you taya!
welcome!!! and yes, a lot of the stuff is old in the USA. haha. great observations. all the public laundries here in the Philippines are new. if you want to see newer buildings, go to Orange County. new, new buildings and restaurants. the things to see in the USA are the museums. go see them. many are cheap or free like the GETTY. BEAUTIFUL art.
Welcome to America, Taya! I had family in several cities East of LA. I've visited LA quite a few times for Siggraph, vacations, and UCLA. It's is a very busy place! I hope you find everything you need and have a lovely time.
Thank you for your impressions, and welcome to USA! There is a lot of stuff in Los Angeles County there, including, I think, NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab. I hope you are able to enjoy it. I'm glad you like some of our prices here! Sorry about the sunflower oil. I use it, too. I hope you are able to enjoy some of our national parks as well! Yeah, paying for laundry sucks. My own condo's machines went up to almost double quite recently, though not $2.50 (yet). Still, cost of living is different in different parts of the US. I live in Kentucky and enjoy a decent cost of living here. If you are in Louisville, Kentucky on the weekend of the First Saturday in May, you can enjoy the Kentucky Derby horse race that Saturday, and the day before on Friday, the Oaks race for filles takes place. In fact, our Jefferson County Public Schools had to make the Friday before Derby an in-service day (opportunity for continuing education for educators) because so many teachers used to take a vacation day then, and no substitute teachers could be reached.
I was born in San Bernardino and grew up in California. The only thing that is best compared to the rest of the USA is the weather! It is sunny most of the year! I hope you get to visit many other states. Life is best outside of big cities.
Welcome to America! I spent a bunch of time growing up in Germany, so I really feel you about the car culture here. Americans are crazy loud with very little concern about their neighbors. You might be able to find better prices for food at farmers markets. I find it odd that you find things here feel old. America has only been around for 200 years or so, Europe has much older buildings. Granted, in the US we aren't maintaining anything, we just let if all apart and developers come in and build something new. Good luck on your latest adventure.
@@SpringIsBACK spent time in Bangkok were everyone is using their horn all the time. The US is devolving in general, thanks to not doing anything about supporting infrastructure, or you know a livable wage, or human rights, blaming it on just the cities is huge part of the problem as it's the nonurbanites who are leaning hard toward authoritarianism as long as they get to pick 'em.
Welcome Taya!! Looking forward to many more impression videos and travel reports! And of course you always have a friendly tour guide and host if you visit Washington DC :)
Taya, Welcome to the madness! 😂 It looks like a Hollywood movie because the movies were often filmed right in that area. From a specific point in Beverly Hills, there is a "Thirty-Mile Zone" (a 30 mile, 48km, radius) which costs far less to make a film because Union rules increase the cost for their workers doing any work further away. As a result, you can recognize certain rock formations, and views after a while.
You have seen .001 percent of the USA. Each state has a different flavor. And within each states there’s further variety. You cannot stay in California and think, you seen the USA.
Welcome to USA, also thank you for this video, and lastly you must know not every where in America is the same or cost the same love. It’s a very big country and with a lot of opportunities options variations and more
If you need anything while you are here just let us know! Come to Orange County where Disneyland is, it is much nicer and more calm and quieter than Los Angeles! We live near the ocean in Huntington Beach! You will love it here!!!!
You’re channel is always a really lovely respite to keep up engagement with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters with a bit of fun and adventure. We all need that. Yes, California has a very high level of income disparity. Everything costs more, but every job pays more. It’s the kind of place where walking down one street can turn from dark alleyways into mansions and where old out of date buildings run into ultra modern ones just a mile away. It is very much a mixing pot of all cultures and therefore you get a mixed bag in every other way. The more you travel there, or live there the more diverse you realize it is. There just really isn’t a consistent set of rules, but yes it is extremely expensive for the most part. You did pick potentially the most beautiful state to visit. Although it’s landscapes vary widely if you’re looking for beauty? Personally I would say it’s the most scenic place in the country. It’s also quite vast so getting to the cool places can be kind of a long trip. It’s very cool to hear all your opinions and experiences. I know there are alot of Ukrainians who live in the US, but I rarely get to hear what they think. I hope you share more of your trip.
Taya, California is a very expensive state. It also has more restrictive laws than any other state. You might want to visit Texas or Florida or Georgia. I hope you can visit those other states. I watch the Filipina Pea (from Philippines) and she also just visited the U.S. She went to the southern states, and she had nothing bad to say about any of the states she visited. Please don't judge the whole country by the worst state.
CA is just the 5th largest economy in the world with the most important and productive industries on the planet, technology, medicine, finance, transportation, agriculture, entertainment, etc. But, okay, we will just call it “the worst”.
Don’t listen to people disparage California. There is a reason it is the way it is. Most states in the US are great. Although, if you want a typical Ukrainian city experience, stick to big cities in the USA. If you want diversity and culture it is advisable to stay out of red states. Red states under fund their education and want to keep the population uneducated and ignorant.
Welcome to America Taya, every state is unique, with good and bad people so be careful and stay safe, enjoy as much Mexican food as possible and you might never want to go home
I spent my summer holidays in Ukraine this year and can understand the shock about prices in California. A friend from Kyiv relocated to Canada and even there it is much cheaper there she still was shocked and has now 3 jobs to feed her kids.
Taya, Please be careful. I have not been in Hollywood for a long time, but I know it is a high crime area. I once met someone who lived there, and he said his car was broken into four times ! I have lived in at least six places in the US during my 60 plus year life and never had my car broken into. The reason why you see so many old buildings without up to date facilities including laundries, is that owners do not want to invest their money in such a poor area. The people you are meeting are also most likely poorer and do not use modern technology as most do now, Hollywood is not representative of the US at all. Best wishes !
Welcome to California, I hope people treat you well, I like to think we are good about that here. Things differ quite a bit from neighborhood to neighborhood but I've never seen an apartment or house here in SoCal without AC, so not having it is really strange. I hope your soldiers are victorious soon.
Glad you are in the U.S.A. Taya---your impression is no different from everyone that come to the States for the first time-great to have you, & your comparisons are natrual--welcome.
Have patience with us and remember that we are learning how to do life too. It's wonderful that you are visiting and I hope you have a great time. Don't be afraid to tell us that you are from Ukraine, your being here is as good for us as it is for you.
There is an old expression "don't judge a book by its cover". In this case, don't think the rest of the U.S. is like California. If you get a chance to travel across this country, you will find every different kind of geography, cultural diversity, and lifestyle. Welcome and explore!
welcome to the USA, taya. you are in a huge country. that part of CA does not represent what most of this country is like. hope you find a way to learn to drive. get a cheap used car or a van and just go roaming. there are many wonders to discover, and friendly people will help you if you ask. small towns are better. big cities are for entertainment; not to live in. would enjoy meeting you if you make it to the east. best wishes to you, and happy traveling!
Welcome! I follow all your uploads, and I didn't catch why your here; if it's vacation or an extended stay. Enjoy yourself. If at all possible try and take a trip to somewhere more central US. East and West coast I wouldn't consider "typical" America. Yes they are, but there so much more.
@@BelusTraveller You wrote that "Cali is not America." We've got the same goddamned national flag, sing the same national anthem, join the same armed forces, pay our taxes to the same federal government, carry the same passports, love the same nation, as all of the conceited, arrogant, conservative/"Christian," and often enough racist and xenophobic, people who keep bitching and moaning about "Cali is not America" and all their other complete and utter bullshit. Go watch Fox News some more, let them keep telling you how bad California is. I know someone who was a cook at old Rupert Murdoch's California estate -- as if he or his kids would be caught dead in South Dakota or Alabama.
Welcome Taya, Please don’t judge United States from what you see in California. There’s a real world outside of California much much nicer… why else is the decline in Cali population so severe in the last couple years. Stay Safe there. Great show!
The decline in the last few years is due to the cost. Your little shack would be worth a million dollars if it were here. California is very popular, but like many popular places, you pay for that.
Obviously, you've never been here. If so, maybe a layover at LAX? California runs from the Mexican border all the way to the Pacific Northwest. We have deserts (the hottest temperatures on earth) and warm sandy beaches. We have mountains (Mt Whitney is the highest in the 48 states), volcanoes, caverns, and cool, rough, rocky shorelines. We have a lot of beautiful national parks, Yosemite, Redwoods, Sequoia, Kings, just to name a few. And so many beautiful state parks. We have excellent wines, from very expensive, like Napa and Sonoma, to less expensive but still very nice and good quality, like Paso Robles. We have San Diego, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo (Hearst Castle, dune buggies, wine, hot tubs, and ocean) and San Francisco. We have (half) Lake Tahoe (snow and water ski), Lake Shasta, the Sacramento Delta, and too many others to mention. We have numerous rivers, too! We have it all!!! Oh, and did I mention farmlands, orchards, and ranches. Lots of open space here.
That's not what the Internal Revenue Service thinks when it collects surpluses of tax money from California to subsidize the state economies of the red failed states.
WELCOME TO THE USA , TAYA ! ---- you are closer than ever -- to where I live in Toronto ( 2,171.22 mi or 3,494.24 km ) away -- you are getting closer all the time ! 🙃
Great video and welcome to the USA. California is probably one of the worst states to go to. Very expensive, crowded, crime is bad, etc. The moment you leave the coasts and go inland, things get nicer. Small town, middle America is still amazing. I live in the inland Northwest of America in North Idaho. So probably closer to the climate in Ukraine, but we have mountains, lakes and rivers and of course winter. Southern California where you are at basically has two seasons, summer and almost summer. If you go to the mountains in central and northern California you will find a better experience. Enjoy it here. But, if possible get away from the coasts and the big cities.
Hoorah!! Taya in L.A. Welcome Taya. Beyond first impressions... lots of different and unique neighborhoods. Get out and explore. Try the metro train. Come to Claremont for lunch :-)) my treat.
Taya, I hope you enjoy your visit. And I hope you have the opportunity to experience many different places in the US. In my travels I have seen many places, met many people. We are a diverse society in the US. I choose to focus on what we have in common and celebrate the unique characteristics of different regions. I would love to visit Ukraine, but I don't know if I could survive a winter there. But from what I've learned about Ukrainians, I think some kind soul would help me. We have different climate (I'm in south Texas), different language, culture and heritage. But we share common values. Our differences are interesting in my opinion. What we have in common is important.
Well, WELCOME TO AMERICA TAYA! And LA! I knew it was eventual, but here you are! Have fun but be very careful here.... Oh, I still have a copy of my book *'THE THREE DIAMONDS'* (Matthew Keller - pen name) for you. I'll send it when you're back in Ukraine. 😊🇺🇦🇺🇸
Welcome to the US, Taya...Most Americans fully support Ukraine in the war with Russia. You will make friends easily where you are. Stay positive and don't be afraid to ask for help from your new American friends...Best of luck to you!
Come to Alberta Canada. We have a huge Ukraine population for a very long time. Culture shock was me moving to Kiew! It was also a shock for Ukrainian folks since when nervous I switch to some words of my original language with Canadian slang
Welcome to America, Taya! I hope you find it safer here. LA has so many parks(look for state parks) and beaches that you can always find a place to refresh your mind and body. I am in Dallas. Finding Public transportation can be a little challenging, except in San Francisco and NYC
Fly Over Country is the best!!! Even many Americans think the East and West Coasts are all there is to America and "Fly Over" everything else going from one coast to the other. Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, etc. have smaller towns, wide open farmlands, more forests, lots of lakes and rivers, rolling terrain, milder summers and winters, lower costs and friendlier people. I live in a forest on a lake in northern Michigan. It is beautiful and so easy to make friends. Anywhere near the Great Lakes (Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Superior, etc.) is beautiful. Get away from the big urban areas and everything changes. I have lived all over from Chicago to California, and I have found northern Michigan to be the best for me. True four season weather with clean white snow in the winter, beautiful blooming springs, weather perfect for lakes in the summer but still not too hot, incredible reds and oranges and yellows in the forests as the trees turn colors in the autumn. You are right about automobiles, though. Anywhere in the U.S. except the densest urban areas you will need to drive a car. Lots of "open road freedom". Learn to drive and learn how to use a GPS and you will love it. I can't wait to see your reactions! Blessings and peace to you! Some friends of mine and I started our own I.T. company several decades ago and with hard work it has supported us all for years. The American dream is real. I hope you have a wonderful time here and I pray for safety and success for Ukraine.

I lived in the US for 3 years. Each state is like a different country. People walk in Rhode Island.
And a fast walker, can walk the whole length of RI, in a day!
@@ramblerdave1339Try that in Texas!
She went to the wrong state. She should have come to the east coast.
@@briansmith48 Better weather on West Coast imo. In the end, it is all very different wherever you go.
Everything is within 2 miles though. I walked that distance to school. lol
What?! You're here? Welcome Taya! I am so happy to see you are safe and get to travel abroad to the U.S.! Wonderful!
Good for Taya. She earned this trip. I'm sure your Cali subscribers will come through with all the help you need.

We hope your trip to the USA is a safe and pleasant one! Petro is not cheap in California. It’s much cheaper in the Midwest of US.
WOW!!!!! Very cool. Somehow America just feels better with Taya here 😀👍
I know right!??? The sun rose much prettier knowing Taya is here.
I like seeing the Ukranians "escape" to the USA!

@@Etereys Current price of gas just up the road and using my Von's shopping Discount is $5.77 a gallon. "Do not vote for Gavin Newsom."
We are on the way to becoming 4th largest economy in the world. #CaliforniaPride
Taya , there's many cities where you have Street Cars and Rail Transportation.
not like in Europe though
Your child-like exuberance is contagious. Welcome to America, Thank you for all the long hours of travel you endured to come here. Your comments are fascinating. I think you will do well while you are here.
Yes her comments were of great interest. My take is that her head was still spinning. Wishing Taya a good experience ....and she may consider visiting a Wall Mart etc. and reporting back .
Yes ty for honoring us with a visit! Plz stay SAFE!!
Depends on where in CA.
@@TheSulross as a farmer in the central valley of CA I concur with your assessment.
@@TheSulross Yeah, live in the middle of a corn field.
Glad you made it Taya! I'm very happy you are here! 🙂
Welcome to America. It was interesting to hear your impressions of the United States. 😄
That was just her impression of california. If I went to California I'd probably be saying just about the same thing LOL
Thanks for your insights! I look forward to more of your vlogs. I also pray for the people of Ukraine.
Hello Taya, Welcome to the USA 🇺🇸. Enjoy your life and God Bless!!
America ❤Taya!! Enjoy your stay, Taya!!
Yes, the area around Hollywood is actually kind of a dump. There are nicer areas, but to be honest I'm not a big fan of LA. The best part about it is simply the nice weather. I recommend you visit Yosemite at least once while you are in California. Enjoy your stay!
Welcome to America, Taya! I hope you're enjoying it, I'll be interested to see what else you post from here 😊
I grew up visiting relatives in LA often, when I was a kid.
❤ you taya!
Good to know that you are having a great time there!
welcome!!! and yes, a lot of the stuff is old in the USA. haha.
great observations.
all the public laundries here in the Philippines are new.
if you want to see newer buildings, go to Orange County.
new, new buildings and restaurants.
the things to see in the USA are the museums. go see them. many are cheap or free like the GETTY.
I so glad you finally got to visit, congratulations 🎊 Taya!!!❤🎉
Heh, try going to a large Philippines city if you want a noisy environment...
Many US cities are devolving, so, that is a problem...

Greetings from Sweden!
Welcome to the US! Thank you for sharing! Your English is very good.
It’s a very big country and with a lot of opportunities options variations and more
You are getting more beautiful, always take care in your travels❤❤
Nice video. Enjoy the trip. Happy to see you Taya😊
One you can see that background in a lot of places in the US. Love that you finally made it here enjoy your visit.
Rural areas of CA can be nice but are still expensive...
JFC, telling someone to move to TX or FL is like begging for them to be murdered. Oh, I guess she'll be safe because....
Florida is the worst state lmao
CA is just the 5th largest economy in the world with the most important and productive industries on the planet, technology, medicine, finance, transportation, agriculture, entertainment, etc. But, okay, we will just call it “the worst”.
Don’t listen to people disparage California. There is a reason it is the way it is. Most states in the US are great. Although, if you want a typical Ukrainian city experience, stick to big cities in the USA. If you want diversity and culture it is advisable to stay out of red states. Red states under fund their education and want to keep the population uneducated and ignorant.
I’m glad you are here and safe. Stay here in the USA where you can be happy and prosper 🙏🏻🤍
Welcome to America Taya, every state is unique, with good and bad people so be careful and stay safe, enjoy as much Mexican food as possible and you might never want to go home
I love your openness and information.
I spent my summer holidays in Ukraine this year and can understand the shock about prices in California. A friend from Kyiv relocated to Canada and even there it is much cheaper there she still was shocked and has now 3 jobs to feed her kids.
Sad😢
I am glad you are OK!
Taya,
Please be careful. The people you are meeting are also most likely poorer and do not use modern technology as most do now,
Hollywood is not representative of the US at all.
Best wishes !
My friend enjoy your stay and enjoy the moment while you are here. This is the land of the free and you have the freedom that you can really enjoy.
Welcome to my country and my state Taya ! :) I hope you enjoy your time here.
I was in Kyiv last week. I came from England. It took me 20 hours on the train from Warsaw.
Great video!
I hope you feel safe in your neighborhood. You seem like a very interesting person. Best to you here in the US. 🤍🎈

Welcome Taya,
Please don’t judge United States from what you see in California.
Welcome to the USA! The lack of walking and resistance to change are both spot on. It's especially bad in California.
You're not in America. You are in California. It is very different.
More Americans live in California than any other state
Which state are you from?
That's not what the Internal Revenue Service thinks when it collects surpluses of tax money from California to subsidize the state economies of the red failed states.
Welcome to California. I'm in Fresno about 4 hours north of you by car. I'm glad you are here and safe.

Welcome Taya. The Speed Queen washer looks old, but it is a traditional commercial design that will last 25 years before it requires service.
Looking forward to an update video! Take care and best wishes from central Illinois.
This was the first video I have watched of yours. Welcome to America! I have subscribed and plan to watch more of your videos.
Well, WELCOME TO AMERICA TAYA!

Glad to see her get a break from the war.. wish I was in California..love California.. BIG. Difference from Ukraine!
See the whole country not just California. Really big very diverse
Come to Alberta Canada. We have a huge Ukraine population for a very long time. Culture shock was me moving to Kiew! It was also a shock for Ukrainian folks since when nervous I switch to some words of my original language with Canadian slang
Welcome to America, Taya! You're a beautiful young woman!
I enjoyed your video and your impressions of America were interesting
