Strick is back for a new Survival Challenge Series! He's re-visiting different survival stories while travelling up the remote stretches of the Great Barrier Reef. There's tales of heroic survival against all odds, and some tragic endings... Join him in the exact location of these scenarios to test his own survival skills and share their crazy stories.
In this Episode Strick is following in the wake of Captain Cook. The year is 1770 and Captain Cook's ship The Endeavour has just run aground the Great Barrier Reef... With nothing but open ocean for miles and fearing the ship will soon be smashed to pieces, he spots two islands on the horizon that are his only hope of survival.
In order to survive on these desert islands they will need to catch Giant Mudcrabs barehanded, use bushcraft skills like making a handpear to catch fish, making a fire with a flint and utilising the environment for shelter. Hope you enjoy coming along on this Survival Challenge!

Then salt flies really come out at night mate best bet is to get a shouldering coconut husk the smoke will keep them away and never let the smoke stop but during day you will be alright
G'day guys, stoked to hear you're enjoying this Series... Here's the next Ep (and maybe the best yet) ua-cam.com/video/Ey9RwvXoIIA/v-deo.html
You really could cut down the music in my opinion. If I watch a video about life in nature I don't want bland, blaring tunes from a teenage nightclub in my ears.
I fart.
@@staceymccloud6 This sounds less scripted.
Thanks for being here legends! Episode 2 has just gone live: ua-cam.com/video/683EnIDJfQ8/v-deo.html

the Ausietuber movement is rooted in Steve Irwinism but yes
a good way to keep crabs fresh for a while is to wrap a wet shirt around them and keeping them in the dark. This will make it less stressfull for them and they feel comfy
This is one of the most amazing videos I have ever had the opportunity to see. This is true survival and the amount of knowledge you have is astounding!

Love watching, In Canada we aren’t surrounded by fish, crab, coconuts and oysters in the north so survival in nature is a lot harder. Keep up the great videos.
Same here in Switzerland
When you live on the land, it’s amazing how sandflies don’t bite you any more

300 years ago the wild life was probably 100 % more
Why? It's inhabited. What environmental effects are drastically different?

Man Australia has to be one of the best places to film survival stuff
Also one of the hardest with all the rules and regulations we have
The most beautiful scenery
Love the video Jack, really entertaining to watch. For those watching I guess if Cook and crew had hit the islands fish size limits probably would not have been an issue LOL! Out of interest, would they have not boiled sea water if desperate and condensed the water vapour on cloth or was that a later discovery? Ripping episode! stay safe, have fun! ♥🍻👌

Tôi rất thích điều này cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ , chúc bạn và gia đình có nhiều sức khỏe nhé 👍❤️
Hey Strick; I like the Bare minimum recources being used for these challenges. It teaches different survival methods and techniques! No Fancy equipment or frills using modern day lures, depth finders etc.! I 'm pretty sure if you smear mud on your exposed skin it protects you from insect bites, and also dries up the poison from being bitten. You can always wash off in the water to clean yourself. "No Sense in suffering" like that for the sakes of the video! 😢 I feel for you! I enjoyed this Adventure, and the Story about Captain Cook! There's all so many! 🏴☠️👍Yo-Ho-Ho! Thanks! GBU.,SM.,NZ., ✌❤😁😎🌊🦀

Bravo, i love the scene
Wow, you're enthusiastic about fishing, bro
Not forgetting that CAPT Cook would have been responsible for effectively finding enough food & water for not just himself but literally a whole boat load of people.
Skin So Soft. Best cure for getting rid of the itch caused by sand flies, mosquitoes and other biting insects. Wonderful stuff and a proven record of working.
