Love my recteq! I have the 590 though. Can’t wait to see what you make on this. Mine does great with knotty wood pellets. Great flavor, burn time, and not crazy ash. Good luck!
Weber kettles probably can give you a better smoke flavor if you are a master at it. The pellet smokers give you the ease of smoking overnight. That's why I love it. I can do brisket or pork butt overnight instead of monitoring the temp constantly on an offset or Weber.
@@splitfinger7719 I can attest to the ease of them. I've had two smokers, pit boss and rec teq. Rec teq is by far more expensive and also by far higher quality.

I moved to Ohio. I've already been making a handful of things on here just practicing for my upcoming videos and let me tell you this smoker performs probably 3 to 4 times better than my pit boss

I love this smoker too. It holds temps so steady and gives off a consistent light smoke. My pit boss would release some dirty smoke here and there
Been working off a Weber Kettle for years but I’m thinking it might be time to try a pellet smoker
