That "two random exhaust port" is the fuel cap commonly found on all racecars.
It uses a vacuum process to quickly fill up the fuel. The high pressure fuel is injected through one side while air is sucked out through the other side.
So, then what about the ports on the back glass above the rear wheel??
@@Razor_Danielyou mean the holes on the glass? airflow, racecars have no ac so they have holes in the glass to vent out the air inside the cabin
Don't forget to check that rear subframe Danny. The e46 is known for it tearing out. They do sell reinforcements for it though to fix that problem

Can’t wait to see the rest of the build! Also one thing, please please don’t mess up the colors when painting…. Most people that make the replica usually paint it grey / bright blue (like the one you put in the thumbnail), the in game one is painted Chrome silver / dark blue 😅

Favorite memory is watching you finish the turbo install on the 335i. The look on your face for the first start up reminded me of the first time I swapped a cam on my C6 and hoped to god the car would actually start without some horrible expensive noise. It's a great feeling.

I wish you the best of luck. That thing is gonna look great. Earlier this year I bought a e39 for $1800 and it sounded like that and I drove it home no problem. It was overheating the next morning but looked great after cleaning it lol then I bought a e53 for $1800, it had so many vacuum leaks and needed cats but it looked great too after cleaning it. Fixed it and now my dad has it.

Dope! Im hyped for this build bro! My favorite memory of this year was fully rebuilding my 07 550i bmw. 4.8L N62 V8 i fully rebuilt the engine and transmission to bare block/bare-case and replaced just about every single part, every gasket, all bearings (con-rod, crankshaft bearings etc) it was a super fun build and very insightful on how BMW builds their engines.
Definitely going to be an LS3 going in that e46 😏

true story: From 2015 till 2018 I was part of the axel development team in Garching near Munich, Bavaria at BMW ///M. One of my engineer colleagues was that guy who was the responsible head engineer of the E46 M3 GTR project. Asking him about some background stories he told me that only 2 dirveable proto types were build and both got disassembled when it was clear that the M3 GTR project was stopped.
He also showed me the whole paper work documentary of this project.
Was an honor to meet this guy.

oh and abt the two "exaust thingies" in the side of the car, they are fuel caps used in racecars, they use a special fuel jar in motorsports

the 2 side mufflers on the upper rear part of the fin were the hole for the fuel, being a GTR version it was designed for races and a quick refueling in the pits

My favorite memory this year for this channel was when you shared something personal with us, which was when you let us know about your family member was getting a brain surgery I believe. It made me realize how great of a community you have here, that you trust us with that information and allow yourself to be vulnerable. It meant a lot considering that I have a family member that has also had brain surgeries. My personal favorite memory this year has been buying my first house and owning my dream car (Nissan 370Z) at 24 years old!

Just wanna point out that the holes in the back of the gtr was air vents for your rear fenders being so low an minimal space for rear wheel. Also helps with cooling of the breaks

Favorite memory for me was going to NYC with my gf. I don’t necessarily like New York but it’s who you go with that makes it special
funny enough buying and driving my 2005 325i e46 in april 2022 was my best memory, it was my first car and I loved it. $3000 in repairs later the car isnt fully fixed yet, its daily drivable and thats what i was driving daily till 6 months later, I ended up rear-ending somebody who brake-checked me in the middle of a green intersection and that was the end of my e46.
My favorite memory this year was buying my R129 Mercedes SL500. Have wanted one for a long time, looking forward to putting many miles on it.
