I wish the average Microsoft Word user had even half the knowledge of their application than you have of yours🙏🏻Apple should give you a medal of honor for highlighting even the deepest features of their apps!🥇
WHERE have you been my whole life????? :) I had no idea shapes were so powerful!!! Can I create things in apple documents and then import them into PowerPoint? I create training decks for our global network and am required to provide them in PowerPoint as our brand standard.
@@macmost THANKS. I was having great difficulty using it - but that is because there was other content on the keynote. It is easy to use on a blank slide!
I write a newsletter for a family history group. I like to use screen grabs to illustrate, and I use arrows to direct the reader to the correct spot. While I need the arrows, I hate them. LOL! Is there a way to place them 'behind' so they don't move everything on the page each time I adjust them? I can't tell you how much time I waste moving things around. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
In the Format sidebar, set the Format, Arrange, Text Wrap to "None" and then the arrow will not displace the text. If you like, you can also set the color opacity to 50% so you can "see through" it. Lots of options like that to try.
Depends on what it is and where it is from. For instance, you can usually copy and paste shapes from Pages into Freeform. You can also bring in images and PDFs from files and remove the shadow. Try things. Experiment.
@@macmost Thank you very much,,, I applied as I mentioned, but when I want to save it in my forms, the option to save it in my forms does not appear. I rephrase my question in another way I have a form from the Internet that I want to save in my forms, but it is not accepted because when I add it in the slide, it becomes an image, and the image cannot be saved in the forms. Thank you very much, I benefited a lot from your wonderful explanations
Not sure what you mean by "save in the forms." What do you mean by "forms?" Do you mean save as a shape? You can only save shapes there. You can't save imported images.
Very very very helpful as usual, you're great!!

More excellent tips. Thanks, Gary! You always seem to be having a good time explaining everything to us.

Good 👍🏼👍🏼
Still not sure how to create one curved line! I'd be grateful if you can explain this!
At the top of the Shapes list, click the curved line item. You can see it at 0:40.

Perhaps you could link me to the correct teaching video of your that contains instructions of using arrows. Thanks
@@ellis984 Not sure what it is you are looking for. Using arrows HOW? And in what way?
Could you please explain how we can resize multiple shapes together in keynote without affecting their distinct builds?
Not sure if you can. If you group them then you mess up the builds. So you may have to do it one-by-one.
Is it possible to add the shapes from outside the program?
Depends on what it is and where it is from. For instance, you can usually copy and paste shapes from Pages into Freeform. You can also bring in images and PDFs from files and remove the shadow. Try things. Experiment.

Using Pages on iPad. Does anyone know where the Pen tool for Shapes is?
I don't know if there is one on the iPad. Maybe Apple figures you'd just draw on the iPad and wouldn't need the pen tool to make custom shapes?
@@macmost Thanks for the reply.

I would love to know a bit more about you, you hardly tell anything about yourself...
