It’s so cool to see those arrows spin like that in slow motion 🙌 Good job

Very nice. QAD Exodus is what almost eveyone I know uses so I bought them as well, the blade is actually one of the thickest in 3-blade designs and much sharper than any one piece solution.

Awesome to see how far you have come, just noticed the couple of flyers you had you really hammered the thumb on release, working on getting the shot off with back tension would see your groups improve considerably, awesome vids good to see your journey keep it up

There is a couple things you can do for broadhead tuning. First make sure arrows are square and spin true. Arrow spinners are cheap. The pine ridge ones work well. Second nock tune them. Number your arrows and shoot them if you have a couple flying wired spin your nock. This well make the next vane cock vane up. This could fix it, but sometimes it won’t. Last but not least if your consistently grouping broadheads away from field points you have to do a slight rest adjustment. If your broadheads are left of field points do a slight rest adjustment to the left. Same goes if they are hitting right move the rest slightly to the right. If broadheads are hitting high move your dloop up on the string or rest slightly down. If the are hitting low then move the rest moe the dloop down or the rest slightly up. Remember with any rest adjustment you’ll have to re sight in the bow at 20 and everything else should be good. There is a few more things to it, but this should get ya headed in the right direction.

Have you tried drawing straight back without lifting bow up. If an animal comes in at about 20 yds. it will notice the movement.

    • @down2thenock_outdoors941
      @down2thenock_outdoors941 3 роки тому

But that is the true way to draw a bow, I draw even higher than he starts out at, now I keep it contained when hunting but an animal is going to see you draw a bow back or not, even if you do it as little movements as possible. I do agree, but I also disagree because he has great form, other than full on punching the thumb button, but it’s almost hard to believe he’s only shot for 5 months, just his form and the way he anchors, draws back with high elbow, engaging his lateral muscles in his side and romboids, deltoids, etc. basically all the very large, powerful, bow pulling muscles !

Nice video. IMO you might wanted to move pin. Your field point grouping was a hair left as well. Your broad heads were too( bigger group) well because there broadheads. When I’m shooting broadheads I’m shooting at multiple circles on my targets so l don’t damage arrows or fletching. I also have been tuning my V3. I shot more this year than my previous four years combined! So much fun!

Not bad shooting at all. You appear to have great arrow flight (from what I can see in the video) which means your bow is tuned very well. There is no need to test any more heads. The Exodus is the best fixed blade head on the market. The ones you are shooting are not the "swept" blades. Those are the "full". Some states have banned the swept heads because they consider them "barbed". Great video and you are off to a great start!

Ok so other than just flat out “punching” the thumb button, your form is realy good, keeping that high elbow, realy doing a good push and pull motion when you bring the bow down. I actually had to defend you from someone saying to keep the bow lower when you draw, ya maybe in an open hunting scenario but when shooting for practice and form, especially when you’re developing, you realy want to have that elbow high and make your body the shape of a capital “T”. Youre doing good ! Texas is the best state to be a bowhunter in..

Just a few things to consider, it looks like your draw length is to long. You want to try and keep the nock around the corner of your mouth when at full draw. Another if you want to shot fixed blades look at getting a offset on you fletchings, this will help your arrow correct as much as possible when in flight. Good hunting!

If anything I think the opposite is true friend. His bow (like mine) is a 27 inch axle to axle bow. It is a steeper profile that is deceptive to guys shooting longer bows. If he were to lengthen just a little bit he may find he gets better at everything.

Also if you’re looking for another affordable option I would check out the magnus black hornet. I don’t think it would hurt to maybe try a Bomar nose button I swear by mine and improved improved my grouping incredibly I know with the V3 27 you probably won’t get your string angle through the corner of your mouth but at least getting the tip of your nose on the string will give you that more consistent anchor if I didn’t put my nose on the string there’s 1 million ways I could look through my Peepsight in line up my scope and shoot way off I just sold my 27 and bought the new RX5. Great shooting buddy try out a Bomar nose button let us know what you think

Are those vanes touching your face. That would Explain the far left if it did. If you shorten your draw length a half in you could save your self on left and right torque on your face. Keep left arm in the same spot it would just bring your trigger hand 1/2 in forward. It might help you

I don’t understand how you’re consistently anchoring your tip of your nose isn’t on the string your drawl length looks long have you been measured everyone of those inconsistent shots could be corrected by correcting your drawlength getting your tip of your nose on your string so you’re looking through the Peepsight the same every time

I agree, try shortening your draw length. You might have a better anchor point and your nose should be able to gently touch the bow string.

Cool to see your getting into some bowhunting man! Good shooting to 50 yards, but looking at your draw your about 1/2” too long. Try working on ‘pulling through’ the shot instead of punching and you’ll tighten up those groups.

Number your arrows... that high left might not be you... your group was tighter with the QAD but looked IDENTICAL.... if you number your arrows then you might notice that one or two are constantly doing something funky.... that high right could possibly be the same arrow in both groups... look up Goldtips super tune arrow build series on here and Tim will explain

Definitely giving the trigger a good old punch and rushing the shot if you work on those couple of things you will improve heaps because your form and anchor point looks great.

Just a suggestion that might help you with your groups get that thumb barrel deep in between ur thumb and pointer and instead of using ur thumb to trigger the release squeeze ur pointer and thumb together to trigger the release. You get a surprise shot which in turn will make you more accurate. Any questions feel free to dm me on Instagram @unadillariveroutdoors.
