The Terroreyz is a tremendous baby tarpon lure! Another dynamite juvenile (and adult) tarpon lure is a zoom fluke nose hooked with an appropriately sized circle hook. In shallow water that lure cannot be beat!
For sure! I use the Shimano Zodias 7ft medium I also have a medium light! Typically I’m running 3k size reels on these. 10lb power pro and 20lb leader.
🌴 congrats on the first poon hook up ! Now imagine one about 130 to 150 lbs on a fly rod.And then getting it along side the boat , ( caution! ) this type of fishing can become addictive. 😄.
Cool spot, but you did everything wrong fighting tarpon. Not watching the fish and looking at the camera, keeping the rod tip up the entire time and most of all not putting the rod tip down fast enough when they jump
Hey thonny buddy hey wow I really did enjoy this episode was really amazing man good job buddy 👍💪💪

Agreed 💯 the tiny terroreyz work great too for baby tarpon!
How would you recommend retrieving the Terroreyz in backwater? I just bounce off the bottom like a shrimp lure but I’m not sure if that’s right or not
Love these kinds of videos! Looked like an adventure!
Appreciate it Matt! 🙌
It looks like you are literally fishing behind my house. I see Tarpon roll all the time. Great video guys.
There were schools of tarpon around the Ft. DeSoto Gulf Pier right before the storm and lots of big baitfish.
Good to know ! 👊
Pretty dope spot, lil tarpons look like a lot of fun. I gotta try to fish for them more.
Definitely gotta get back out there again soon !
@@Thonny hmu man. I found a nice grouper hole 👀
Got the Monday morining blues?
Thonny's got the cure...
Obviously you need a lighter rod to cast these lures. What rod, reel and line setup would you recommend?

Thanks. Sounds like I need a 7 ft medium. I have an 8 ft medium St Croix Avid Inshore but it’s a little long in the tight areas.

Awesome video. 👍
Thank you !
Tinny Terror Eyes are classic for baby tarpon.
Is there a good way to retrieve this lure for tarpon in backwater? I usually bounce off the bottom like a shrimp
Definitely enjoyed video. Too bad you didn’t catch more. Have you been back?
Planning on getting back out there! With this cooler weather maybe there will be big snook in there
Hah I got stuck in the silt once up to my waist once and had to go digging for my shoes. Stick, stick shoe!
Is this near upper Tampa bay and woods Creek
Yes?
You have to bow to them to keep them from throwing the hook
What setups were you guys using
Can’t remember what the boys were using but I was using a Shimano Zodias 7ft and a 3000 size Shimano Exsence
Where can I get that wanted tarpon shirt?
Check the description box! Should be the first link 👊
That looked like fun....except for the hiking part.
The hiking part was no joke! Was being eaten alive by mosquitoes 😂
Where is this at
Have the Lure links? Thank you
They are doa terror eyes. They are everywhere.
Check in the description!
@@Thonny thank you
