Dont tap when getting off the bus...? Tbh if bus breaks down and you take the same bus number to continue (only if the bus driver instructs), then yes it is considered the same journey. If you dont tap while getting off the bus... the bus company is ALOT smarter than you. You are charged to the end destination (higher/maximum fare because the journey is longer - our fares are based on distance). For the person who wrote that, I do hope he/she does read terms and conditions and understand how public transport in Singapore works. Really delulu. If change service you are charged maximum fare for that service, then continued to be charged on another service. Good luck.

Then sometimes I'll calculate how many times I'd need to use it for to be equal to $1 per time I use it. (Exceptions are major necessities and things I've been wanting for more than 6 months.) If I believe I'll use it enough for it to equal it's $1 value per time I've used it I'll get it. If it doesn't, I either don't get it or I wait until I've saved up more money and I can fit it into my budget. I had to buy my phone on pre order during the pandemic. So I'll be using my phone for a minimum of 5 years until I consider upgrading. Im already on year 4. This method has saved me money, but I don't consider any of it to be "free" or valued in "profit". It just means I can increase my savings amount.

If a small piece of food price is not more than a bowl of noodles, it's not expensive to buy (like a block of butter, cheese, a snack, a drink, expensive spice)
alot of these new type of girls assume it is "profit" when it should be "savings". Also, when you purchased something, the upfront payment is already costing the person money. A pair of shoes bought at $200 is a loss to the person at the beginning because you departed $200 off your own savings, and the definition of more same shoe usage at the initial stage does not clearly justify the future usage. This way of calculation is just deluded.
Aight fella's here's how to make "GAL MATH" viable. 1. Get a job and salary. 2. Take 30% out for investments and other activities 3. Take the remaining and budget it out for every day. Now say we got $x per day for expenses, and the money left that we put in our assets is $y. So in reality you earn $y amount per month / your profit per month is $y. When you decide to not buy something one day / lower your budget for one day, you earn your money back from the $x amount. So money from $x goes into $y. You technically "earned money" This works because you've conditioned yourself to think you earn $y amount per month. Therefore, any bonuses you get from spending less than $x a day is seen as earning money. So it depends on perception.
