Its a moment between fans who love a song the band made and the band loving that they are all having a good time together. Its a moment, I doubt they are thinking about what it might sound like through a random recording at home.

I wonder why these fans don't just stay home and sing into the mirror rather than drown out the band they paid to hear. I imagine it's flattering to an extent for Wolf Alice but it must also be terribly annoying. Hoping it's mostly a U.K. trend and won't be as prominent in Boston tonight.

I hear ya. I guess it's a bonding thing...or akin to either karaoke or a party. I think if the setting is a club, you're going to have to live with it. But an actual concert venue? Hope not. It would surely piss me off. (But if you think about it, we live in a 'phone recording everything' world, so I guess you could see it as nothing more than a variation on a selfie?)

I noticed people singing along in Denver (Colorado), especially on the older songs.

singing along all together is one of the best things about live music and you can see joff obviously smiling and encouraging it at the beginning - do u not sing along at concerts in the US ????? i play in a band and people singing along is by far one of the best parts of playing live

@@amystephen9172 It depends on the setting, and the artist. Bars are pretty crap places to hear performers if you actually want to LISTEN to them. Ditto outdoor festivals. But in an actual 'concert' setting, in a theatre, or a concert hall? I'd slug someone sitting next to me if they were doing what the audience is doing in this video. For me...and others...it's no different than providing an endless commentary in a cinema. (And no, this ain't 'generational'.)
