Ring of Honor (ROH) is a professional wrestling promotion recently acquired by Tony Khan, CEO of AEW, Chief Football Strategy Officer of the Jacksonville Jaguars and GM/Sporting Director of Fulham F.C. The acquisition, which was completed through an entity that is wholly-owned by Tony Khan, included ROH’s extensive video library dating back to 2002, brand assets, intellectual property, production equipment and more.
With more than 20 years of rich wrestling history, ROH has launched the careers of numerous AEW stars, including CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Hangman Page, Dr. Britt Baker, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, among others. Additional members of the AEW roster have made their mark in ROH, including the late Brodie Lee, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Scorpio Sky, ReDragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly), Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta), Jay Lethal, Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, Mercedes Martinez, Serena Deeb, Frankie Kazarian, Keith Lee, Eddie Kingston, Evil Uno, QT Marshall, Danhausen, Lance Archer, Griff Garrison, Thunder Rosa, Wheeler Yuta, Luchasaurus, Orange Cassidy, Ethan Page, Austin Gunn, PAC, Kip Sabian, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Jerry Lynn, BJ Whitmer, Ace Steel and Sonjay Dutt.
ROH’s current list of champions includes ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe, ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta, ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) and ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez. Tony Khan’s purchase of ROH signifies a new chapter in the future of professional wrestling as AEW’s meteoric rise continues to draw the youngest-skewing wrestling audience on television.
Fun fact: Paul London in 2003 challenged Samoa Joe for the ring of honour world championship, and then later on in the year challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship.
Wow! He actually had opportunities against two world champions!
@@johntom9406 Three if you count Xavier because London would challenge him twice in ROH for the ROH Championship, at Final Battle 2002 and again in February the following year. Just a month before Xavier lost it to Joe.
In case anyone's wondering: Team ROH had Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, BJ Whitmer, Ace Steel, and Homicide, while Team CZW had Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Necro Butcher, Nate Webb, and Eddie Kingston.
Punk winning the title has to be #1
Ring of Honor is the home of pure talented wrestlers❤️ I respect that & i hope to see fans cheers for their favourites very soon :-)
ROH have probably had one of the most star studded world title lineages of any promotion. A real who’s who of ‘best of all time’ candidates.
Showing best of roh is a menu for wrestling fans
Ages 2002 to 2010 Is Golden era for R.H.O.
It wasn’t Punk winning so much as how he did an immediate heel turn after winning. He flipped cheers into boos with one promo. If you can watch the Summer of Punk, do it. I’m glad I bought the DVD a few years ago.
@Gordon Cullen Yup, I have been using Flixzone} for since november myself :)
@Gordon Cullen definitely, I have been using Flixzone} for years myself =)
@Gordon Cullen definitely, been using flixzone} for months myself :D
@@gordoncullen7176 me too, i have bern using flizxone forever
That generico chair spot looked so nasty
Adam Cole beating Jay lethal should’ve been on this list.
Rush winning isn't even a top 20 moment, ROH used to be so cool like ten years ago
it's interesting seeing roh past, since many stars have passed though their doors.
Ring of Honor please do a contest when fan's can come back to show who among us has the most Honor
No that's just stupid and dangerous
@@GoneXX2 How is it stupid and dangerous?
@@johnbarton41 hello, covid
Man ROH back in the day was insane
Imagine if CM Punk and Davey Richards still wrestled.

I frekin love sami/generico man he's soo damn goooddd!!!!
WWE/NXT has always dropped the ball with Chris Hero. Dude deserved way better than what they gave him.
El Generico was the greatest version of Sami Zayn... Proud to be in Honour Club... Those matches and moments are always unbelievable and magnificent
Davey and Tyler should be #2
So when do I get to see The Wrestling Summit between ROH, IMPACT, NJPW, NWA, and AEW?
How do you sell Rush’s finisher? Lol def painful
I like rush he is a great wrestler.😀
Sure i will see this event
I like ROH
make roh great again
The weirdest thing about this is seeing CM Punk with barely any ink. 🤣
BTW Tyler Black = Seth Rollins for the few who didn't know
Thanks, we couldn't tell by the fact that they look, sound, act and wrestle like they're the same person
Youre wrong dude, thats his twin
He sucks either way.
Was that Tyler Black finish a back to the future that Kushida does/did?
That was a really bad call in the Taven/Rush match with saying “New Champion, congratulations” before the pin. It just had no energy and was a bad call.
Put on a actual rap beat. Not just some hi hats clickin over n over, god that shit gets so fucking old.
K O baby
The ONLY great match rush had so far in ROH was against taven
Antes no hacían todo éso desde que hay mexicanos
