Great review man, really dig your insight and detailed view of the pieces actually being worn in the elements rather than *just* as a fashion statement. One question-- what inspires you or ticks the boxes for a piece you end up keeping longterm? I watched your 2in1 video and it seemed like a grail of yours, as opposed to the alpine or the deploy, even though those seem to have more functionality or aesthetic comparatively. What inspires you to hold onto pieces vs. selling them again? Love the work and looking forward to new content, cheers.
Thank you for the kind words! Different reasons really: The Alpine was just not my "type of jacket". The Deploy I bought to big (Large). The 2in1 I bought too tight (Small). Other than that, I bought Acronym jackets, which are far superior in build and design. Nikelab ACG was in many a case also a vehicle for me to test out, and find appreciation for Errolson's designs, so I knew what I was getting into begore investing in Acronym, and I do not regret it one bit. Cheers!
I have the polar opposite of your pocket dilemma. I've grown so accustomed to organizing each specific (often trivial) item in one particular pocket that I feel stricken with panic when I reach for the lip balm receptacle and come up empty-handed. Similarly, when I don a garment with only 2-3 pockets I scramble frantically to determine where each item should be placed X) You mean to tell me my wallet and key fob are requisite to a mutual pocket? Oh boy, I better change... All jokes aside, great review as always! Appreciate the honesty of your breakdown, especially how you mention a particular feature but aren't afraid to scrutinize the feasibility of use in your own regime. How does the sizing of this jacket compare to other ACG outerwear pieces? Such as the alpine, 2-in-1, or the Goretex parka
Haha thanks, struggles either way 😅 The sizing question is a bit difficult, because my Alpine was Medium, 2in1 was Small, and my Parka was Large 😂 Medium Is defenitely my size though, at 176cm 65kg, fitting true t size, with room for layering with an insulator. You can check out my 2in1 video though, there I wear that one and this one next to each other. I sold the 2in1 because it was too tight and the Parka because it was too big. Cheers!
@@duediligence5194 Haha yeah, well when I "started out", I wanted to go for the super oversized look, like Smirk from GOOPiMADE, so I bought everything in Large, but that was actually quite unpracticle, which felt kind of contra-concept, if you know what I mean. GOOPi garments are not "too big", they are designed "oversized", those are different things I later realised. The 2in1 I just bought to small, because I could get it for a steal, and I just trally wanted, but had to admit to myself at some point that I didn't like the bottom was so tight. I'm kind of in between a small and medium, but I like my clothes not being to fitted in this style.
Haha, well I don't really know what you mean by "outdated". This is just a review about an "archive" piece. "Techwear" being a fashion movement that is not about trend and more so about quality garments, it shouldn't really matter when in time a piece was produced. That is why it retains it's value or even becomes more valuable with age. If you want to find an unworn piece of this model (if it even still exists) be prepared to pay twice the retail price. Even worn it goes for around retail. Good luck!
I enjoyed the honest evaluation on this, especially it being such an iconic piece. I also feel your pain in losing things in a multitude of pockets!
Thanks! Haha, that's a relief 😂
Yes, I tend to lose my gadgets in knickknacks, oftentimes not even knowing which jacket its in lol
Haha exactly! Going though all my jackets and pants 😂 the struggle is real!

@@AggaCityGang haha sounds like the sizing dilemma is as widespread as the pocket dilemma. Thank you for the thorough response!

Yes.
Been checking around for a M of this jacket, you where right at it being hard to find/high resale :// ✨
Yes, it is still quite wanted!
Losing/leaving things in pockets is indeed a side effect of techwear that I suffer from.
Haha yes! Good to know I 'm not the only one 😅
9:08 LOL thank you for keeping it real
