some people are forgetting, A Drink Before the War, and Sacred. Mystic River is a solid read also, and i believe Clint Eastwood did it some justice,if your looking at the movie perspective. as for Shutter Island another solid read. but Martin Scorsese failed, Leonardo DiCaprio did do the character some justice though. Overall Dennis Lehane, is now owned buy Hollywood, he will be forced to publish new material and he will be feed ideas. the game is over. nice run though.
