A really interesting video. I have a gsp male that I rehomed who is very destructive. I also have a gsp/lab cross and a terrier. My gsp def gets enough exercise. On a working day we walk for about 3 hours and he does a mixture of swimming, retrieving. On a non work day I walk them longer. I think his destructive behaviours come from anxiety and insecurity. He has been passed about 4 homes and is only 19 months old. Interestingly it’s always my stuff that my gsp chews! Not my husbands or sons. I have baskets of toys for him. I hope that he matures out of it but crate training is def something to consider. Atm he can’t be left alone longer than an hour and in that time he has usually chewed
You need to "RUN" your GSP not "walk" it does nothing for them. I skateboard with my GSP and she gets all her energy out by tugging me while running at her own pace. Maybe get a bike or a skateboard and run at your dogs pace not your own, good luck.
Hey there! So I have been pulling my hair out trying to get my girl Kona to STOP chewing on shoes, trash, and anything else that isn’t a toy. Today is Day 1 of really giving her more exercise time outside, physically and mentally by telling her to sit before I throw each time. I have been having trouble with her since I have first had her and it’s getting to the point where we might have to give her up if I can’t get her under control. Some of it I know is my fault and I’m trying to correct it. So Day One, fingers crossed 🤞

A walk is pointless for a GSP. That doesn't burn any energy at all for them. They have to run. A lot.
